Chapter 6: The Shattered Seal
The wind outside the academy roared, but it was nothing compared to the silence in the Grand Hall.
Cracks spiraled through the marble where Ren had stood, still glowing faintly with violet embers. A shattered glyph of containment flickered in midair, unable to hold what had just been born.
Ren Kamizuki opened his eyes.
He felt... weightless.
And yet, something was pressing against his soul—a whisper, a presence, a hunger not his own. The Codex Nullum pulsed at his side, its pages fluttering as if caught in a storm no one else could feel.
Across the hall, Professor Auron was the first to move.
"Seize him," he ordered. But even the elite enforcers hesitated. That power—the Void-Class—had no place in the mortal realm. It was forbidden for a reason.
Before anyone could act, Lira slipped through the chaos. Her eyes were glowing faintly blue, like someone remembering a dream they weren't supposed to.
"Take this," she whispered, slipping a cold iron key into Ren's hand. "The Sealing Grounds. You need to find them before the gods do."
Ren tried to speak—but the Codex spoke for him.
"Release the chains. Unbind the truth."
Every magical sensor in the hall exploded with sound. Runes shorted. Lights dimmed. Somewhere above them, the bells of the Obsidian Watchtower began to toll.
Meanwhile...
In the higher sanctum of the academy, a figure cloaked in shadows stirred. A Divine-Class sword hummed on their back, resonating in warning.
"So... he's awakened. The anomaly has begun to breathe."
