Welcome to this Beautiful WorldUrwelt
My consciousness returned suddenly.I opened my eyes and found myself falling again, this time through a cloudy sky. The air struck my face, the wind roared in my ears, and my heart pounded uncontrollably."Not again!"I tried to scream, but the sound was lost in the whirlwind of my fall. Below, the landscape stretched into a vast green plain, with an immense forest in the distance. Then, a bluish light wrapped around me, and my speed suddenly dropped. It wasn't a soft landing, but at least I didn't die on impact.
I found myself on a smooth stone platform, surrounded by vast greenlands full of vegetation.'Oh wow, so this is Urwelt… It reminds me of those fantasy worlds in games and anime.'I looked around. Dozens—no, hundreds—of people and humanoid creatures appeared in different spots. Some had also fallen from the sky; others simply emerged from glowing portals.
The murmur of conversations and astonished exclamations filled the air. Groups and alliances were quickly forming. The diversity of races was striking: giants, dwarves, fairies, lycanthropes, demi-humans, lamias, elves, dark elves, angels, demons, and hybrids. Even more surprising was the presence of pure beasts: dragons, liches, beastly wolves, slimes of various sizes, and even entities made entirely of their affiliated elements—elementals.
A white phoenix and a dragon argued with each other, while a black nine-tailed fox spoke with a white tiger. Another group made up of elves, lycanthropes, and demi-humans seemed to be led by a werewolf and a wyvern I had already seen before.Looking at the fire elemental, a question popped into my head:
—Would it die if I threw water on it?—curiosity consumed me.Anyway, I should check my status to see what happened to me.

The system interface had an analog look, similar to an RPG game. Well, that was to be expected—we had been told about it, after all.I was checking my Status. Apparently, my base stats were pretty average, but my Magic Power, Intelligence, and Agility stood out. It seemed I had four skills and...
"Hmm... Why does it say 'Race: Puppet (MASG)'? I don't know if that's good or bad. I'd better check… How do I look that up?" I murmured, my voice barely audible.
Examine…Nothing happens.Evaluate…Hmm.
AppraiseEstimateDiscernInquireAssessAnalyzeA tab finally popped up, showing me its information.Finally.

-Puppet (MASG) (Model of Anatomical Structure - Genderless)
A series of vessels made from biomass, used as containers for souls when the body of the summoned individual has been completely destroyed prior to summoning.
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
My eyes remained fixed on the screen.
"Model of Anatomical Structure – Genderless… Vessels made of biomass? Containers for souls?"
The words felt surreal. I swallowed hard—but felt nothing. My throat moved, my chest rose and fell in an automatic attempt to breathe, but there was no satisfying fullness of air in my lungs.
My skin... I couldn't feel it. I ran my fingers down my arm, pressing, scratching... Nothing. No cold, no heat, not even the brush of my own hand.
My heart was pounding, but the sound seemed distant, like it came from somewhere else. No adrenaline. No natural fear-induced tension. Just... emptiness.
"This can't be real."
I touched my face, but it was like touching something foreign. No texture, no warmth. My mind knew my body was there—but I couldn't feel it. It was like I was wearing a costume of flesh, a puppet I wasn't truly a part of.
I staggered slightly. An irrational instinct made me clench my teeth hard, hoping to feel something, even a faint pain. But—nothing.
The system didn't lie. I... was no longer human.
A shiver should have run down my spine—but it didn't. I couldn't feel it.
With a dry blink, I closed the status window. The feeling of being trapped in a dead body was becoming more and more evident, but I couldn't afford to be paralyzed by panic right now. I needed answers.
I opened my inventory. Inside, there were only two items: a strangely designed axe, and a rainbow-colored crystal.
I picked up the crystal first. Maybe it could explain something...

Random Enhancement Crystal
Rank: B – Item Grade: Rare Req. Level: 0
"This crystal contains powerful and mysterious energy, pulsing with random glimmers. Due to its warm temperature, it also works well as a foot warmer."
Effects: When consumed, grants the individual a bonus to their stats based on their level. Also adapts as the user levels up, granting random permanent stat bonuses with each level. Can hide its bonuses at will.
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
Without overthinking it, I brought the crystal to my mouth and swallowed it. It was bigger than expected—almost the size of a ping-pong ball—and swallowing it without water wasn't easy.
I reopened my status window to check the effects.

"Oh... most of my stats have either doubled or tripled."
My Intelligence and Agility were particularly high, which didn't surprise me. In my previous life, I was fairly smart and practiced gymnastics regularly.
At that moment, someone tapped me on the shoulder.I turned around and saw a tall, blonde girl with an athletic build and aquamarine eyes. She wore the same uniform as me, though hers had a cream-green shirt and a grassy-green collar. She was a head taller than me and seemed to be about my age.
"Uhm… I'm Mika," she said with a friendly smile. "Do you have a group? If not, want to form a party with me?"
"Uh… Can you give me a moment to think about it?" I replied, a bit unsure.Mika nodded enthusiastically and pointed to a nearby area."Of course. If you decide to join, I'll be over there by the fallen tree. Once recruitment ends, we'll start planning."
I gave her a small nod and watched as she walked away. There was no rush to decide. It was better to analyze the situation first.
The rest of the groups had organized themselves quickly.Leaders with the [Analyze] skill scanned participants, selecting the most suitable ones and discarding the rest without hesitation. The "outcasts"—those who weren't chosen—ended up forming smaller, more disorganized groups.
"Oh, I'm so glad you're here! I thought you'd join another group," Mika exclaimed with visible relief.I sighed. Honestly, I didn't want to end up alone or tossed aside with the "outcasts."
"I'm not really into big groups… and besides, most of them are guys," I replied simply.
"Huh? Do you hate boys?" she asked curiously.
"If I did, then why didn't I join the all-girls group?" I shot back.
There was a group made entirely of girls.I'd watched them for a bit and saw some leave in frustration. The one who seemed to be the leader began giving a speech about female power and how women were superior to men.I got tired of listening and decided to look for Mika instead.
"They didn't interest me. Besides, I don't think they know how to work as a team—though some of them had decent stats."
"That's it? Just like that?" Mika asked, surprised at my bluntness.
"Yeah, just like that."
"By the way, what's your name?"
My… name? What was my name?
I tried to recall it, but my mind gave no answer. An unsettling void took hold of me.
"You don't have a name yet?" Mika asked, slightly concerned.
"I… I can't remember."
"Wait—seriously?" she exclaimed, surprised.
"Don't worry," another voice chimed in. "Except for a few summoned ones, most of us reincarnated people don't remember our past names. You can choose a new one."
I turned toward the new presence. It was a girl with pale skin and shiny black eyes, framed by long lashes. Her black hair was tied in a high ponytail, with sharp bangs to one side and two loose strands framing her face. She was a little taller than me, but shorter than Mika.
"Oh, you made it!" Mika said joyfully, hugging the newcomer.
"Of course. I wouldn't leave a little lamb all by herself," the girl replied, patting Mika on the head.
"Lamb?" I asked, puzzled by the nickname.
"Oh, right. How rude of me. Let us introduce ourselves. Nao, this is—"
"Rowena. My name is Rowena," I interrupted before Mika could finish.
At that moment, a window popped up in front of me.
[Congratulations, your name has been changed to Rowena]
I hadn't thought much about it, but at that moment, I remembered a character from a book I'd once read. I liked the name, so I took it.
"Oh, Rowena is a pretty name," Mika said with a smile.
"Yeah, simple, straightforward, and easy to remember," Nao added approvingly.
I let out a small chuckle.Mika had this vibrant energy, while Nao seemed far calmer and more composed. They felt like sisters with totally opposite personalities.
"By the way, weren't you the one who caught Zesael's attention? That was so brave. When it happened, I swear I felt the temperature drop," Nao said, hugging Mika, who trembled slightly.
"Ugh, it gives me chills just remembering it!" Mika shuddered.
Nao sighed and changed the topic."Well, now that we're done with introductions, it's time to talk about the plan."
"Oh, right. You mentioned something about infiltration. What did you mean?" Mika asked.
"We don't know what awaits us in the forest, or how dangerous Urwelt really is. It's better to join a larger group to improve our chances of survival."
"But the leaders of those groups have [Analyze] at rank H. They can see our stats. How do we get in without them rejecting us?" I asked, uncertain.
"That's where our strength comes in—we all have [Analyze] too. We can use it to evaluate which leader is most likely to accept us and join their group without issues."
"Hmm… It's a good plan, but risky," Mika said with hesitation.
"There are always risks. But in the worst-case scenario, we can always use our charms to get in easily," Nao added, playfully emphasizing her chest with a cheeky grin.
"Heh… well, it's better than nothing."
