It was a letter that was expected but not awaited. He walked towards me turning all the glares in to admiration as he walked past the girls. They were mesmerized just by looking at him. They were looking at him as if he were the most beautiful thing they'd ever seen.
The unawaited letter soon reached my hand. I examined the envelope which had a silver ribbon sealed around it with silver wax. In the wax were written the words "SM" representing the famous school & collage of Saint Michael.
It was a school that specialized in the Arts famous for creating the best of the best in the world but only a few chosen people are allowed to enter this mysterious yet wondrous school or so my uncle said .Looking at the letter I suddenly started to feel dizzy & could feel all of my strength leaving my body and then everything went black....
When I finally came to my senses, I remember thinking that I had somehow defied gravity & was sleeping on the clouds; the bed was SO soft and when I opened my eyes I saw a polished wooden ceiling. I could smell something really sweet; it smelled like the mixture of spring & Christmas.
I know it sounds weird but that's exactly how it smelled; like the soothing smell of spring flowers mixed with the excitement of Christmas. The smell made me want to sleep some more but then I saw the big old fashioned clock (which suited the old fashioned room perfectly) which struck 1 pm. I tried to sit up but my head still felt dizzy & then it all started coming back to me. I wanted nothing more than to go to my uncle & give him a huge piece of my mind.
But when I tried to get up again my whole body felt like it was made of iron & so it made more sense for me to wait here rather than trying to search for my uncle in this unfamiliar place with my body ready to faint at any moment.
After a little while I somehow pulled myself out of bed & started walking towards the white-sainted curtained windows. The breeze was so nice that it made me want to go outside. I looked out the window for the first time & saw the most breathtaking view.
It was like looking at the preview of heaven but only better. The place glittered like it had diamonds scattered all around it.
I was grasping for air when the door knob turned & a guy in black and white tuxedo entered the room. His eyes were a strange alluring violet color. They looked sad but violent at the same time. He had long (very long) silky black hair pulled up behind his back. He was as fair as snow or maybe even more. His lips were blood red. He had long eyelashes. He was spookily beautiful.
I can swear that I saw a little bit of happiness in his eyes when they met my eyes but he soon went back to being expressionless.
I was about to ask him where I was when he instead asked 'What are you doing here?' with a cold voice which could possibly freeze time. It scared me a little at first but then I figured that I was the one who woke up in an unknown place so where does he get the right to ask me that and to scare me at that. I'll be honest I didn't really get along with people that well but the way he spoke to me pissed me off.
I replied his question with the same question 'Where am I?' (I figured it'd piss him off)
And just as I suspected it did make him a little irritated.....well a little less than I expected but what the hell right.
He asked me the same question again not letting he irritation get to his voice 'What are you doing in my room?' That surprised me because even my uncle wouldn't do something like this to me or so I thought. I was about to throw my frustration at him when the door knob turned and in came my dear uncle.
I was about to ask him where I was but he beat me to it 'What are you doing here Alexander?' looking at that guy. Uncle for some reason looked furious which was very rare for him. He turned towards me and then with an irritated look complained 'Did I raise you to wear something like this in front of a stranger?'
I had no idea what he was talking about and then I notice that I was wearing a very revealing nightgown. I crossed my arms around myself but something tells me it made it look more inappropriate
He pulled Alexander's hand and dragged him outside. When I tried to peek he slammed the door .I couldn't hear much other than uncle saying 'you know you're not suppose to meet her yet!' Uncle sounded furious nothing like the Uncle I knew.
After maybe half an hour of scolding my uncle reentered the room. I was ready to give him a piece of my mind but at the back of my head I was honestly a little scared and thanks to God uncle went first.
'You better get ready quick' He sort of ordered.
I didn't care anymore angry or not he owed me an explanation and he was ganna give it to me now .I cleared my throat now and asked 'Don't you have something to explain...like where the hell am I and how did I get here and who was that guy?'
'Oh that' He replied as if all this was not too big a deal.
'Yes that' I said in a sarcastic way.
He stated explaining 'You see the thing is that your previous schools dorm head heard my sad sad story about my niece not wanting to move to another school closer to her family because of her mother issues.....'
I cut him off with an angry grunt I mean he knew that I don't like it when people address that woman as my mother but he ignored me and continued his explanation '....and she sort of dropped a few sleeping pills in your breakfast'
'You drugged my breakfast!' I exploded
'Well I had to do something' he said unapologetically
'How did you know I was going to decline?' I asked confused
'I'm your father sweetheart I always know what's going on inside that little head of yours' He answered with overflowing confidence.
'So how long have I been out?' I asked trying to calm myself.
'Two days.' He replied calmly
'TWO FREAKIN DAYS!!!'I exclaimed
He recommended 'the school tour's going to start soon so I recon you get changed' and was about to leave when I stopped him by grabbing his hand
'Who was that guy' I asked with my utmost curiosity.
He answered as usual very calmly (which by the way I should've known nothing good could come out of my uncle's calm voice except maybe his voice) 'Oh that! His name's Alex, your new roommate' as if it wasn't such a big deal. Now that I think about it for him it probably wasn't.
I screamed 'Roommate!'
He asked 'Why is something wrong?'
I tried to explain with a sarcastic tone 'He's a guy and if you hadn't noticed I'm a girl'
'Oh come on sweetie we're in the 21st century so who cares and anyway the dissection's final so there's nothing you can do about it and for the love of god don't bother Alexander about this he's girlfriend died so I think he has enough going on in his mind now so I hope you'll be a good friend to him now seeing as you've gone through a lot of deaths.'
I couldn't help but agree 'Ok understood'
'Good then I have to go and you my dear should get ready for the tour' giving me piece of advice he was about to leave when I stopped him yet again 'Did you maybe forget to mention a few very important details like where am I suppose to go after changing or do they come to pick you up in this school' I admit I was a bit sarcastic but after the day I had I think I deserve to get a little mad at him.
'Alex will come and get you' He reassured
I murmured 'Wasn't he not suppose to meet me'
He gave me a look.
I assured him 'Nothing' in a very polite way.
'So now can I finally leave or are there any more questions you'd like answered' He asked irritated
'No that'll do' I replied in a very commanding way and even though I knew he was ganna get mad to my surprise he was in such a hurry that he played along and even thanked me. He stormed out the door as fast as he first came in.
