Chapter 7 - Hilltop Mansion

Ryan made up his mind instantly and immediately drove towards Seamarsh.

He did not rush and patiently searched for supermarkets on the road.

Whenever he came across a tolerably large supermarket, he went in and took out large amounts of food and water and put them in the car. It was until there was no more space in the car that he accelerated towards Fallford Bay.

Finally, Ryan arrived at Fallford Bay and found that the electronic iron gate of the whole residential area was locked. To save time, he fumbled out a few grenades from the armored vehicle and threw them over from a distance.

After the iron gate was taken down, Ryan crushed it with his car and headed straight for the mansion zone.

The roads in Fallford Bay were wide and flat. Even the armored vehicle could drive straight in.

But when Ryan reached the foot of the mountain where the mansion zone located, he saw an electronic iron gate again.

Even within the same community, residents were stratified.

Most of the residents in Fallford Bay Villas were only senior executives working for the mansion owners, and were not qualified to enter the mansion zone.

Ryan threw a few grenades again without any hesitation. After blowing up the electronic iron door, he drove onto the winding mountain road.

The road leading to the hilltop mansion zone was wide and smooth, flanked by thick iron fences to prevent cars from running out of the driveway.

Moreover, the slope of the road was not steep, easy for most cars to climb.

Every few dozen meters up, there would be a branch leading to an independent mansion.

Ryan observed them from outside. The magnificent decoration and the helicopters parked outside showed how luxurious they were.

Finally, he reached the top of the mountain. When the car lights shone on the building, presenting its look in front of Ryan, he was greatly stunned.

He had expected that the scenery at the mountain top would be beautiful, but it still surprised him.

The main building of the mansion adopted a "T"-shaped structure based on the terrain. The higher side had two floors and the other side had one floor. There was also a sky terrace on the roof. The main building alone occupied nearly half of the mountain top area.

The outdoor suspended swimming garden pool at the front of the mansion was the core part.

There were lush lawns and green trees around the pool.

Soaking in the swimming pool, one could overlook not only the sea but also the scenery of the entire Fallford Bay.

"Is this the life of rich people?"

Ryan exclaimed and got out of his car. He approached the gate with his cell phone.

The door of the mansion was locked and could not be opened from the outside.

Ryan could smash into it with his car or throw something like a grenade over, but he couldn't bring himself to do such a thing to this beautiful building.

To avoid ruin the building, Ryan moved his car next to the building, stood on the roof of the car, and climbed up to the sky terrace on the second floor. Through it, he entered the mansion and opened the door.

The only trouble was that there was a power outage in the mansion as well. So it was pitch dark inside.

But Ryan didn't mind it. It was his first time getting inside such a luxurious place. He held his flashlight and toured inside the house with great interest.

The mansion covered an area of at least 2,000 square meters and had eight rooms and multi-functional leisure areas, including spa, sauna, gym, audio-visual room, bar, wine cellar and other supporting facilities. There was also a stunning garage on the underground floor, where four sports cars were parked. Ryan couldn't even recognize some of the car logos.

When he reached the basement on the second underground floor, he found five large diesel generators.

It was not surprising for such a luxury house to have generators.

Although it was unlikely for such a place to have power outages, generators that could support the power operation of the entire mansion were prepared along with a dozen barrels of diesel.

Ryan had planned to search for generators after waking up the next day. This discovery had saved him the trouble.

As an engineering student majoring in mechanical engineering, Ryan was familiar with the principles and structures of diesel generators. Now that he had the generator and fuel, he had no difficulty generating electricity.

In just ten minutes, the lights in the entire mansion were lit up.

Ryan returned to the living room and observed the surrounding environment. He couldn't help but exclaim again.

"It's great to have money!"

He didn't saw everything very clearly just now with only a flashlight.

Now that the mansion was brightly lit, Ryan could see the entire first floor clearly, and was once again struck by its luxury.

He walked to the large sofa and flopped on it. In front of him was a floor-to-ceiling window.

This floor-to-ceiling window, which was the wall at the back of the villa, adopted a rolling door design and could be raised so that the villa could be connected with the outside world.

Sitting on the sofa, Ryan could see the large swimming pool, the sea view, and the red flames in the distant sky.

He'd like to lay forever on this comfortable and soft sofa.

But there was still red light of the fire in the sky. Ryan sighed and ran out of the door without even changing his wet clothes.

He opened the car door and started moving the food and water into the villa.

After it was done, Ryan was so tired that he took off his clothes and collapsed on the sofa, not moving a single muscle.

After a few hours of slumber, Ryan woke up and looked outside.

The sky was beginning to turn pale and getting brighter.

Ryan knew that he couldn't waste any more time resting. He had to get up and continue working.

The whole city was on fire now, and there was no sign of the fire going out despite the heavy rain. If it continued to burn like this, not only would his living space be squeezed, but food and water would also become less and less.

If the entire Fallford were to be engulfed in flames, he'd be done for.

The game had suddenly ramped up in difficulty, and Ryan could almost predict the arrival of that fateful day; it was just a question of when.

So Ryan needed to seize the time he had left and stock up on enough food to last three months.

Because even though he could flee to the sea when the fire came, without food and water, he wouldn't last long out there.

After rummaging through the villa and changing into a set of men's clothes that fit him, Ryan immediately got into his car and drove down the mountain.
