Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 10

"Princess, as you can see, the people had quite a good life, though poverty was still present, but because of the effort of the late king and especially His Majesty, the lives of our people improved. Your great-grandfather was the one who changed the dynasty and became the king. Before Abberhyn was created, this land had always been a place of war because of how bloodthirsty the leaders back then were."

Princess Amishta was silently praising his father and intently listened to Marquis Brent. He was one of the old officials that had been loyal to her father ever since he was a child. He was considered His Majesty's teacher; thus, the respect of Amishta was real and honest.

"My father was a general who fought in the war alongside your great-grandfather. He was but a commoner but was given a title by your great-grandfather. My father was very thankful because of the changes in his life and thus pledged his loyalty to him and the country. I was then trained to be a study partner of your grandfather to help him."

"It was tragic when your grandfather passed away. My father helped the late king to stabilize the throne because some of the remnants of the past dynasty were still present, and they were trying to shake the court. The late king was again a good king but not a good father. He indulged the other and discouraged the other."

Princess Amishta was not happy for his father. He has always been good, but he didn't even receive a compliment from his father. Though she doesn't know more, she already knew a lot of it.

"Does Duke William want me to use it in front of Father and get the throne?" Marquis Brent was shocked at how intelligent Princess Amishta was. He was actually hesitant to teach something to the princess because he thought that she wouldn't even know anything, but since the king pleaded, he still visited the princess. Now he is agreeing to the princess's attitude.

"Yes. He was blindly loved by the late king. One main reason why he was not captured until today was because the late king gifted him the White Knight. It was an army consisting of 200 people that was mainly for saving the Duke. They live and die only for the Duke. It once belonged to your great-grandfather and should be passed on to the present king, but the late king insisted on giving it to Duke William."

"His presence will surely make things more complicated, and it seems like he is cooperating with the last remnant of the last dynasty."

Princess Amishta just sighed and thought.

"Princess, what do you think shall be the next move?" Marquis Brent wanted to see how the princess would react.

"Since war is inevitable, then be ready for one," Amishta smiled at Marquis Brent. Amishta was transmigrated a year before the rebirth of the female protagonist, and the series of events will start to be in chaos. The day that his brother will marry a traitor girl and the day where she was supposed to love Prince Elliot and the start of the kingdom's destruction.

"How can one be ready for a war?" Brent Marquis asked again because he felt that the princess knew something. Princess Amishta was surprised by the question, but she just smiled and looked down. They were currently at the top of the palace gate, where the scene of booming business in the capital was a good view.

"Who can be considered as the top warrior in our kingdom?" Marquis Brent was taken aback as he was weirdly thinking something impossible.

"There are many good warriors in our kingdom, but there can only be seven people who can be considered top warriors. The first two are your brothers, the Crown Prince and Prince Jiro." He just answered the question and tried to snap out of his thoughts.

Princess Amishta smiled. She already knew how powerful her two big brothers were because they led the war for almost two years after her character died. They only led 100,000 soldiers, but they were persistently alive after two years, and that year they were annihilated because of a traitor, and that Fourth Prince was a God of War.

"The two would be from my family. I was a retired general before entering the court. My son was promoted to general and is currently fighting at the border." Princess Amishta looked at him with respect, and Marquis Brent just smiled.

"The next was General Henry, the youngest general aside from your brothers. He was a commoner who rose from status, a disciple and adopted son of a late general who was an orphan and dedicated his life to the border. He was in charge of the Brown Province after the Crown Prince visited."

'General Henry' was someone Princess Amishta liked and hated. She likes him because he was a good general, but he becomes the traitor at the end. She hated him, as he was one of the reasons for the kingdom's destruction. Marquis Brent was curious about Princess Amishta's reaction towards General Henry, but he kept his mouth shut.

"The next should be your father, His Majesty. He was a brave warrior and a teacher to your two brothers. He was a very good general who never left his soldiers even if they were at a disadvantage. I remember in my last days as a general, we went to war, and he was just promoted to general, and we were being circled by the enemies. We found a way for him to escape, but he stayed and fought with us."

"Is my father your disciple?"

"No, he is my father's disciple. He became my little brother. He might not have received anything from the late king, but my father gave him something. My father always saw him as the next king and thus helped him till his death to stabilize the king's position."

"Then, can I have the pleasure of being your disciple teacher?" Princess Amishta cutely stated and blinked her eyes. Marquis smiled.

"The next would be your uncle. Before the marriage of the King and the Queen, your uncle and the King were the best of friends, together with my son. They were called the Triad God of War because when they teamed up, they finished the battle easily and didn't lose a single battle. But even before my son met the King, your uncle and the King were already friends, as their family is just only lower than the royal family."

"Uncle?"

"Duke Hiro, the biological brother of your mother. He can be considered as the king's nemesis, as they perfectly match, and it was quite a question who would win. Your uncle visited you when you were a child, but you were always cold to him, and you tended to hide from your father if he was visiting you."

Princess Amishta never thought of his uncle. She just knew that they were also annihilated, but she didn't know the reason. Since his uncle is a good warrior, then why would he die just like that? He had never seen him and wanted to see him.

"I actually wanted you to become my disciple, but the minute I talked to you, I remembered someone. I may be a good warrior, but if you learn from me, you will end up hiding your true self. As someone who hides something deep in her heart, I shiver. You are a good seedling, but someone I can't push all out."

"Then, If you think you are not good enough, who can be my teacher?" Princess Amishta asked confusedly. She badly needed to train herself because one year can pass easily.

"Your Grandfather from your mother side. They always said that he was just a good business man who was powerful because of wealth but they don't know that he is the master of the Blood Sect. He was not from this Kingdom but just a person who fall inlove with your Grandmother, the only child of a duke. His identity is only known by my father and your grandfather."

"Blood Sect? The remaining sect of all sects after the sect war." Amishta was even more confused. His grandfather is a master of a powerful sect, but he doesn't even do anything for the country or for his grandchildren.

"Why are you saying this to me? I mean, my grandfather is of an unimaginable identity, but it was supposed to be hidden."

"Because I see a powerful sprout coming out from you. Someone a ruler only has. I never thought of having a female king, but it is different when it is you. The Crown Prince may be a good choice, but I think you can be more powerful than him. It was taught by my father that if I see such willpower from a person, then it shall be from a great ruler."

"Ruling may not be of your choice, but I can see that you will still protect our country. And to bring that ruler out of you, you need to ask guidance from your grandfather."

Princess Amishta nodded her head and expressed her gratitude. She doesn't know what attitude her grandfather will give to her, but she knows that he is angry with her father. Her grandmother died because of sickness when she was still a child, and the death of her grandmother cut the connection she had with them.
