Chapter 4 - chapter 4 : 4 years ago (part 3 final)

Hamza blinked. "Bro… I think I just gave you powers."

Ali looked at Hamza.Hamza looked back at Ali.They paused for a solid thirty seconds.

"Bro," they both said."BRO," they repeated."BRO!" they shouted in sync.

They jumped up and ran toward each other.

"Please tell me I can fly," Ali said."Yeah, of course, bro. Since we're sharing powers, we can fly together," Hamza replied."Alright, but how do I fly?" Ali asked."Just imagine it, dude. If you believe it, you can fly," Hamza said.

"Yessir," Ali said, giving Hamza a dap."Yee," Hamza replied, dapping him back.

"They seriously, like REALLY missed out on all this, to be honest bro," Ali said.

Just then, Hamza's dad walked in."What's going on? Y'all shouting in the middle of the night—go to sleep."

Ali pointed at Hamza. "Uncle, Hamza got powers!""He's telling the truth, Dad," Hamza added.

His dad looked at both of them, staring them down."Stop being delulu and go to sleep. You both got school tomorrow. And Ali—it's a sleepover, everything you need is in the house. Just ask if you need anything else."

The next day at school, in class...

Ali leaned forward, eyes wide."Guys, y'all really missed out on some wild stuff last night. And I'm being deadass serious everything Hamza said is real. He's got powers. I'm not even joking. And remember that FBI agent guy? I don't even think he's a real agent anymore. After what Hamza showed me, I believe everything he says now."

Sead and Noor exchanged a look.

"Oh God, when are they gonna stop with these lies?" they said at the same time."Hamza being related to Ali makes way too much sense," Noor added."Yeah, lying runs in their blood," Sead followed."No offense but I—"They both paused."I mean, WE just can't believe this stuff is real, bro," they finished together.

Hamza smirked."And y'all being twins? I swear it's like your brains are connected. Saying the same thing, being stubborn must run in your veins too."

Sead and Noor replied at the same time:"Dude, we're twins. What do you expect?"

Later, during recess...

"Let's head out to the playground," Hamza said, gesturing toward the door."Got something to show you."

The group slipped away to a quiet corner near one of the walls—somewhere no one would notice them.

"What exactly are you two planning?" Sead and Noor asked together, eyeing them.

"You'll find out," Hamza said mysteriously.

"Alright," he continued, "take fifteen big steps back from the wall."

The twins obeyed, stepping away until they were at a good distance.

"Now," Hamza said, "take one fast step forward. Just one. As quick as you can."

He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing hard. In his mind, he imagined passing on some of his power. A sudden dizziness hit him, but he fought to stay standing.

The moment Sead and Noor took that step—

BOOM.

They rocketed straight into the wall like missiles, their faces smacking flat against the bricks. For a second, they were frozen there—faceprints and all. A little blood dripped from both their noses.

Ali gasped.Hamza winced."...Don't worry. It happened to me and Ali too. Seems like it's was your turn now," Hamza said, trying to hold back a laugh.

"Not cool, dude," Sead and Noor muttered, groaning in unison.

"How the heck did we even slam into the wall like that?" Noor asked, rubbing his nose.

"Don't ask me ask them, dumbass," Sead snapped, pointing at Hamza and Ali.

Hamza raised a hand. "Relax, I basically shared my powers with you."

Sead and Noor stared at each other, blinking. They paused…Then slowly nodded, clearly starting to believe him.

"Finally knocked some sense into you, huh?" Hamza smirked.

"Nothing makes sense… So you're like a mutant or something, right?" Sead and Noor asked at the same time.

"What? What's that? I just suddenly got powers—what do you mean by mutant?" Hamza replied, confused.

"You don't watch the news? There are humans being born different now—with powers," Sead explained.

Hamza squinted. "Bro… are you making fun of people with Down syndrome or something?"

"No! No, we mean actual mutants—like humans born with powers," Noor clarified quickly.

"Dude, I wasn't born with these powers. They came later. So nah, I don't think I'm one of them," Hamza said.

"Ali… is what they're saying true?" Hamza asked, turning to him.

"Do I look like the kind of guy who watches the news?" Ali replied, dodging the question.

Hamza raised an eyebrow. "No."

"Then why you asking me?" Ali shot back.

Hamza chuckled. "Your answer was already clear the moment you asked the question bro."

"I've got an amazing idea!" Hamza suddenly shouted.

"What is it?" the others asked.

"What if we become superheroes?" Hamza grinned.

"Nahh, that sounds kinda embarrassing. I'm not doing that," Sead said.

"Yeah, I'm not about to wear my underwear over my pants," Noor added with a smirk.

Ali shrugged. "I mean... there's a lot of responsibility in that, bro."

"Exactly why we should at least try it out," Hamza insisted.

The group exchanged looks, then nodded. "Alright, fine," they agreed.

"Cool. Noor, Sead—go buy some masks for us," Ali said, getting hyped.

"And we'll use Ali's place to train," Hamza added.

"Why us though?" Sead and Noor groaned.

"I'm literally sharing my powers, and Ali's offering up his house. What exactly is your problem?" Hamza said with a grin.

After school, at Ali's house...

"Alright, we've got four masks," Ali said, holding them up. Then he smirked and looked at Sead and Noor. "How much did it cost? Oh right—I didn't buy them."

Sead rolled his eyes. "Of course you didn't."

"Okay, everyone get ready," Hamza said. "I'm gonna try sharing my powers now. Just don't move a muscle like you did before—just imagine you've got no powers at all."

He closed his eyes, focusing hard as he tried to share his powers again. A wave of weakness hit him instantly—stronger than before.

"Ugh," Hamza grunted, stumbling a bit.

"You good?" the others asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," Hamza replied, catching his breath. "Okay, so... you should have flight, super speed, and super strength. Nothing else... or maybe more, I dunno. Still figuring it out."

Ali clapped his hands. "Alright, heroes let's see what y'all can do."

"Bro, I don't even know how to start flying," Noor said, staring at the sky like it owed him answers.

"Just believe you can. That's literally how it works," Hamza replied. "Trust me—it's weird, but it works."

Sead took a deep breath. "Okay. Believing… I'm light as a feather... I'm—AAAH!"

Before he could finish, he zoomed three feet into the air—then crashed straight into a tree branch.

"Brooo!" everyone shouted, running over.

Sead groaned. "That... was awesome," he said, dazed but hyped.

"My turn!" Noor said, taking a running leap—and then immediately slamming into the fence like a torpedo.

Ali burst out laughing. "Y'all look like cartoon characters."

"Hey! Why don't you try it then?" Noor snapped.

Ali smirked. "Say less."

He closed his eyes, took one step—and suddenly zipped across the yard at lightning speed, accidentally tackling a trash can and flipping it over.

"YOU GOOD?!" Hamza yelled through laughter.

Ali's voice came muffled from under the can. "I am speed…"

Hamza shook his head, grinning. "Alright, we've got a lot of work to do."

Ali's backyard still learning

Everyone was on the ground, catching their breath. There was a busted trash can, a dented fence, and a tree branch that looked like it gave up on life.

Hamza sat up, breathing hard. "Okay… we clearly suck at this."

"No kidding," Sead grumbled, rubbing his elbow. "I've hit the wall more times than I've blinked today."

Ali leaned back, thinking. "What if… it's not just about believing? What if it's about controlling what you believe?"

Hamza raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

"Like… when you imagine something, you don't just say 'I wanna fly'—you have to see it in your head exactly how it's supposed to feel, look, even how you breathe when you do it."

"Whoa… that actually makes sense," Noor said. "When I ran earlier, I just took off. But I didn't plan the move in my head."

"Alright then," Sead stood up and brushed off his pants. "I'm tryna visualize it now."

He closed his eyes. Took a deep breath. Focused.

This time, instead of rushing it, he pictured himself gently lifting off the ground, balanced, stable, calm. And slowly, his feet left the grass. He floated.

"I'm… doing it. No crashing. I'm actually doing it!"

Noor grinned. He focused next—picturing himself running like the wind but staying in control. His eyes locked on the other end of the yard. He breathed in and took off—smooth, fast, clean. No tripping, no smashing into trees.

"Let's GOOO!" he yelled.

Ali tightened his fists. He imagined himself leaping into the air and holding that moment—like floating between steps. He jumped—and hovered, hanging in the air before gently landing.

"We're figuring it out," Ali said, smiling. "Finally."

Hamza stood proudly. "Told you. It's not about having powers. It's about mastering your thoughts. You gotta see it, feel it, believe it like it already happened."

Sead pointed at him. "Okay Sensei. We get it."

They all laughed, but this time it wasn't from messing up. It was from realizing… they were actually stupid.

"Guys, I'm gonna be going home, alright?" Hamza said.

As he stepped outside, he spotted a car parked across the street. A window rolled down.

It was the same agent he'd seen at school.

Hamza's eyes widened. He bolted back inside.

"GUYS GUYS I SAW THAT FAKE AGENT GUY! WEAR THE MASKS AND WE'LL FOLLOW THEM FROM ABOVE!" Hamza shouted.

"WHAT?!" they all yelled, scrambling to grab the masks.

"We're ready," Sead said.

"Yeah, we are," Noor added.

"I'm tired, but I'll try," Ali muttered at the end.

Sead tossed one of the masks to Hamza and handed the others to Ali and Noor. They all put them on.

"Okay," Hamza said, closing his eyes. He shared his powers again. This time, he felt weaker than before—but he pushed through and recovered quickly.

They all focused.

They imagined flying.

And just like that—they shot into the sky, soaring upward, eyes scanning the streets below as they tried to find the agent's car and follow it from above.

as they are in the sky they looked hamza notices the car "guys there it is" they looked at the car and followed it

Hamza's House

"He's going into my house?" Hamza said, shocked. "At least my parents are at work right now. Let's go back to your house, Sead." He sounded confident.

"What if he stole something from y'all?" Noor and Sead asked.

"Then we'll beat his ass. C'mon, it's 4v1, plus we got powers," Ali said.

"Oh yeah, forgot. Let's kick his ass," hamza grinned.

As the agent was walking toward the front door, Hamza and the others landed right in front of him.

"Hey, you!" Sead called out.

"Stop right there," Noor added.

"And go back where you came from," Ali continued.

"Or else..." Hamza finished.

The agent looked at them from their feet to their heads. "First of all, who the #### are you mate?" he asked.

"Dude, language," Sead said.

"I'm an FBI agent, and I came here to search the house," the agent replied, shows them he's badge . "And sorry I said that. I saw y'all floating—I'm convinced I'm drunk," he added.

"we know you ain't working for the FBI," all of them said at once.

"why is that and how does a bunch of kids wearing masks 'know' and where is your parents ?" says the agent

"Two words," Sead said.

"None of your business," Noor added.

"That's four words," Ali pointed out.

"Multiply it by 0.5," Hamza replied.

"It's two," Sead confirmed with a smirk.

The agent looked at them weirdly. "What an assist..." he mumbled under his breath. "Well, fun time's over. Let me search the house."

"No 'mate' " they all said firmly.

"#### this," the agent muttered, and without hesitation, he pulled out a gun and shot Noor in the knee.

"Agh!" Noor screamed, blood pouring from his leg.

"NOOOO!" the others shouted in unison.

Sead screamed out, "NOO— I mean, Turbo!"

Ali knelt beside Noor. "You'll be fine," he said, putting pressure on the wound.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!" Noor cried in pain.

"HAM— I mean, Spectra!" Sead shouted. "DO SOMETHING!"

Hamza stood frozen, anger and sadness gripping him tight. His hands shook. His vision blurred with rage. He looked straight at the agent.

"What's your name?" Hamza asked, his voice low.

The agent glanced at him, confused. "Call me Agent Jack. Why you asking?"

"To remember..." Hamza whispered.

In an instant, he vanished and reappeared right in front of Jack, staring him dead in the eyes.

"My first kill."

With that, he punched Jack's knee with brutal force, shattering it.

"NOT THE ####### KNEE" Jack screamed as he collapsed.

Before the agent could reach for his gun, Hamza snatched it away, crushed it in his grip, and grabbed the man by his suit. In one motion, he blasted into the sky— not too far, but just enough to be dangerous.

"This is for Noo— I mean, Turbo."

While holding him in midair, Hamza glanced down and saw Noor standing— completely fine, no blood, no limp, no bullet in sight.

His rage faded into confusion, then relief. He lowered his flight slowly, landed back on the ground, and dropped the unconscious agent.

"Lucky you," Hamza muttered, and with one solid punch, he knocked the agent out cold.

Turning to Noor, he raised an eyebrow. "Now explain— how are you healthy after a bullet was inside your knee?"

"IT'S YOUR POWERS!" they all said in sync.

Hamza blinked. "But still... imagine if my powers ran out."

"Then you'd fall to our deaths," Noor said, half-joking.

"What if I was on the ground when it ran out?" Hamza asked. "You're gonna be like this forever, you know."

"Alright..." Noor said, rubbing the back of his head.

"I'm just scared for you, Noo— I mean Turbo. Not only you, all of you," Hamza confessed. "Every time I share my powers, I feel like I'm getting weak temporarily. But when I stop... I get this sudden boost of energy."

"Like you split your powers into four— one for you and one for each of us," Ali said, cutting in.

"I think that's what's happening," Hamza nodded. "From now on, I'm not gonna share my powers for superhero stuff. Guys... we can't keep going like this."

They all frowned.

"Sead—what a save. You gave me the coolest name I've ever heard, even though we didn't even come up with the names" Hamza added, trying to lighten the mood.,

"Oh... thank you," Sead replied, a little disappointed.

"Okay—maybe I will share my powers," Hamza continued, "but only when we're having fun... privately."

They all lit up with relief.

"Okay!" they said in unison.

"Let's call the police," Ali suggested.

As they dialed the cops, the group waited until they arrived, handed the unconscious agent over, then took off into the sky.

Hamza and his friends flew back, landing at Ali's house just moments later, the adrenaline still rushing through them.

In a dim, metallic room lit only by the soft blue glow of multiple monitors, a shadowy figure leaned forward in his chair. The largest screen showed a live drone feed—Agent Jack approaching Hamza's house.

The figure whispered, almost amused, "Good… He's at the door. Now, go in… Search the place… Find the source of that energy."

But then—

Out of nowhere, four masked kids descended from the sky, landing right in front of the agent. The figure's smirk faded.

"…What the hell?"

He tapped a button, zooming in.

Spectra and his friends. Speaking. Confronting. Arguing. Then a gunshot.

"WHAT IS HE DOING?!" the figure shouted, jolting upright. "You idiot! You were just supposed to investigate!"

The monitors showed chaos turbo hit, spectra vanishing and appearing, crushing Jack's gun, blasting into the air, preparing to drop him. Then the reversal—turbo somehow healed. Jack unconscious. The kids walking away like legends.

The figure slowly sat back down, stunned. His voice dropped to a whisper.

"…They weren't supposed to be there. He wasn't supposed to use force. And... they couldn't be a mutant did I accidently missed one?"

He stared at the screen, where spectra was frozen mid flight, eyes burning with something unnatural.

"…Who are you!?"
