Chapter 28 - Chapter Twenty Seven (Vincent).

Vincent's POV

I stood firm, my gaze sweeping over the vacant area where Blossom should have been. A tempest of anger, anxiety, and possessiveness churned within me, a volatile mix threatening to overwhelm my senses.

"Lily, where's Blossom?" I growled, my tone dangerously low. My stare fixed upon hers, instantly catching the fear flickering in her eyes.

"I—I don't know, master. I went to do the laundry, and when I returned, she was missing." Her voice quivered, betraying her unease.

My eyes narrowed as thoughts of Blossom's safety flooded my mind.

There's no way she could have left, she was kidnapped!!

Who could have taken her? And why? A chilling, calculated rage bubbled beneath the surface.

Turning to Adriel, I commanded, "Retrieve the security footage. I need to know who abducted her and where they went." My voice was cold and methodical.

Adriel nodded, swiftly diving into action, his fingers deftly navigating the keyboard to access the security system. I paced the foyer, my mind racing through countless scenarios.

Adriel's voice sliced through my mind. "Vincent, I've got the footage."

I turned sharply, my gaze fixed on the screen as Adriel played the video. A dark SUV arrived at the mansion's entrance, and two men in tailored black suits emerged. They hurriedly loaded her unconscious form into the vehicle.

My rage surged as I took in the scene. Who were these men, and why did they want Blossom? A chilling resolve settled over me, a cold determination that would stop at nothing to retrieve her.

I faced Adriel. "Get Nathan on the line." My voice was low and threatening.

Adriel nodded and swiftly dialed the number. Moments later, Nathan's mocking voice echoed through the speaker.

"Vincent, you're right on time for the update. You have 24 hours to comply, or Blossom will be killed."

My eyes narrowed, fingers tightening around the phone. Did Nathan think he could scare me? Did he believe he could take what was mine?

I smirked, a chilling, calculated grin. "Nathan, you're making a serious blunder. You'll regret taking what is rightfully mine."

The line went silent, and I glanced at Adriel. "Gather the team. We're retrieving Blossom, and Nathan will face the consequences."

Adriel affirmed with a fierce spark in his gaze. "Let's get to work."

I pivoted and strode out of the foyer, my thoughts singularly fixated on reclaiming Blossom. I would stop at nothing and obliterate anyone who dared obstruct my path.

As I walked, my phone vibrated with an incoming call. I answered with a cool tone.

"Vincent, it's Lily. I have some intel."

"What is it?" I snapped.

"I recalled something. I witnessed one of the security guards in a heated discussion with someone earlier today. I didn't think anything of it back then, but now I'm not so sure."

My gaze sharpened. "Which guard?"

"I don't know his name, but I can give you a description."

"Go on."

Lily detailed the guard, and recognition struck me instantly. He was among my most trusted personnel.

A chilling anger surged within me—betrayal. It was a notion I was all too familiar with.

"Adriel," I called, my tone frostbitten.

"Yes, Vincent?" he responded.

"Locate the guard Lily mentioned. I need to uncover what he knows."

Adriel nodded and promptly began his search, his gaze scanning the footage for any sign.

I stood resolute, my eyes set on the distance, my thoughts swirling with possibilities. I would retrieve Blossom, no matter the cost, and those accountable would face the consequences.

At that moment, a call came through—it was Mr. Harrison.

What a poor time for him to reach out, yet I had to acknowledge him nonetheless.

"Good day, sir," I answered the phone.

"Oh, it's hardly a good day for you," he replied, his voice thick with irritation.

"Indeed, sir," I replied, my tone hesitant.

"I've heard that my daughter is in your custody. I trust she's safe with you," he stated flatly.

*In that moment, disappointment washed over me; I couldn't even ensure her safety.*

"She's been taken by a rival gang, sir. I'm determined to bring her back quickly," I stated frankly.

"What!?..." He began to question my resolve and principles.

Lily's phone rang, and her hand trembled as she answered.

"Hello? Who is this?" she asked, her voice shaky.

"I'm sorry, sir. I'm actively working on her rescue," I reassured Mr. Harrison.

"Blossom!!" Lily cried out.

Hearing her name made my heart sink.

"Is that my daughter?" Mr. Harrison inquired, reacting to Lily's shout.

"Yes, sir," I confirmed.

Drawing nearer, Lily switched the call to speaker mode.

" Are you okay? Tell us where you are," I urged into the phone.

"Just a moment," she replied, her voice sounding dragged.

"Here's the location: Pineview Rest Stop – a secluded little stop by Highway 271, close to the junction with County Road 17. Please hurry, Nathan's gang is after me. I'm seriously injured and might lose consciousness again soon," she said anxiously.

Adriel quickly jotted down her words.

"Alright, we'll be there shortly. Just hang tight, okay?" I instructed.

"I'll do my best," she responded before abruptly ending the call.

"Get the others ready," I told Adriel, who immediately jumped up and left.

"I'm on my way as well," Mr. Harrison chimed in over the phone.

"Understood, sir," I replied before ending the call.

That's my clever little de, I just hope she can hold on until we arrive.

"We've pinpointed where Blossom might be. If fortune favors us, we could also run into Nathan's crew. Stay alert and be prepared for anything," I informed the team. With that, I quickly hopped into the car, our speed increasing as we rushed toward the location.

We eventually linked up with Mr. Harrison and his team. There was no way for Nathan to escape now.

Just then, I caught sight of a familiar vehicle.

"Sharly! What are you doing here?!" I exclaimed through the phone.

"I heard Blossom was kidnapped, and that you all were going to rescue her," she said, her enthusiasm palpable.

"This isn't a game," I cautioned her.

"Seriously! I'm not a kid, and whether you like it or not, I'm a part of this organization!" she huffed.

"Okay, sure. Just don't drag us down," I responded.

"Excuse me!!! I would never..." she began to rant, and I quickly ended the call.

*I can't wait to confront that fool. I'm going to make him pay for all this chaos!*
