Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

Elaine had just parked her car in front of her apartment when she saw her father's personal chauffeur standing outside.

"Young Miss, Master asked for your presence." He informed her.

Elaine had already expected this so she wasn't at all shock about this.

She silently, entered the car and sat calmly.

The car ride was silent, the chauffeur clearly trained not to engage in conversation.

When they pulled up to the large estate where her parents lived, Elaine took a deep breath. She had expected this summoning, knew exactly why she was being called.

"Look who has came." Stephaine smirked watching Elaine coming inside. "We didn't expect such shame from you."

"Sister, father is waiting for you in his study.

Please don't anger him." Xylia sweet voice irritated her even more. Elaine ignored her and walked past into the study. She opened the door without knocking and entered

Elaine's father, a stern-looking man with greying hair and sharp eyes, looked up from his desk as she entered. His expression was cold and disapproving. "Sit down, Elaine," he commanded, gesturing to the chair in front of his desk.

Elaine said nothing and just silently sat down.

Her father leaned back in his leather chair, steepling his fingers as he regarded her with a stern gaze. "I've received some... disturbing news this morning," he began, his voice dripping with disapproval. "Care to explain why my daughter's face is plastered all over the gossip columns?"

"What do you mean father?" Elaine frowned at him.

Alison looked at her once more and shown her a photo of her leaving the suite he got earlier. Also the one where she was conscious lying on the bed.

Elaine looked at them and had to press her lips in a thin line. She looked down on her hands as she didn't know what to say or do at this moment.

"Why were you in Alpha Dante's suite?"

"I... was drugged last night and sent to Mr.

Beck's room. Fortunately, Alpha Dante saved me in time. That is why I was in his suite."

Her father's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing dangerously as he looked at the photos. He picked up the photo of her lying unconscious on the bed and slammed his fist on the desk. "You expect me to believe that you were drugged and sent to Mr.

Beck's room?"

"Father! Do you expect me to go there willingly? Do you think I am so lowly that I will like to sleep with a man older than you!"

She raised her voice and looked at him in disbelief.

Alison fist lossened

Alison's hand loosened slightly, impressed by Elaine's sudden outburst. He had expected her to crumble under the accusations, but her fiery defense caught him off guard. "Watch your tone, young lady," he snapped, but there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice now.

"I am sorry about it." She looked down.

Alison observed her and asked, "Did you and Alpha-"

"He just helped me! I was unconscious did you believe alpha is weak to lust over a lowly wolfless girl?" She snorted inwardly. Why would he even though Dante taking a liking of her.

Alison watched his daughter closely. Her reaction was genuine. He knew his daughter was beautiful, but she wasn't the type to throw herself at men. He also knew that Alpha Dante had high standards when it came to women. He wasn't the type to sleep with just anyone, let alone an unconscious.

"Alright. It's good that nothing bad happened. You should get yourself ready to work in Kim industries from monday." He informed. She nodded and walked out.

As Elaine left the room, Alison sighed heavily.

He picked up the photos again, studying them carefully. Something didn't add up. If Elaine was drugged, who would benefit from sending her to Mr. Beck's room? And why did Alpha Dante save her instead of taking advantage of the situation?

Whatever, it was he didn't want anyone to know that she was with Dante the whole night. It might make thinhs difficult for him.

Elaine was a beautiful woman but she wasn't perfect woman for an Alpha. His luna should be perfect from another clan not their own.

It had never happened in their clan that Alpha picked his luna from his own clan. So, it was better if Dante never liked her and take her as his mistress. He only wanted good for his daughter. When he walked out, Stephaine immediately held him and asked about what Elaine said.

Stephaine's eyes gleamed with curiosity as she clung to Alison, her voice dripping with fake concern. "So, what did Elaine say?"

"Elaine run away from that old man and nothing bad happened. I don't want to hear another word about last night." Alison said sternly.

Stephaine's lips curled into a sneer as she listened to Alison's stern words. She couldn't believe how easily he dismissed the scandal.

"You're too lenient with that girl." she whispered venomously, squeezing Alison's arm tightly. "what about the other photo where she came out of the suite?"

Alison pulled his arm away making

Stephaine flinched. "Don't talk non sense! Of course she had to stay somewhere to be safe. I said again no word!" He warned and walked away. From the hidden space, Xylia walked out and looked at her father's retreating back.

"Mother... what should we do now? our plan failed..." Xylia asked concerned.

"Don't worry about it and only focus on Enzo.

You better not let him find out about the truth." She looked at her daughter.

"He will never." Xylia smirked. "He will come to pick me up for the check up tomorrow."

Stephaine smiled at her daughter.
