Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Tournament Part 4

Ryker Tensai vs Reiji — "Steel Against Steel"

The arena rumbled from the roars of the crowd.

Dust floated in the air.

Two fighters stood face-to-face.

Ryker Tensai — calm, silent, unshakable.

Short black hair swaying slightly. His stance: loose. Relaxed.

But deadly.

Reiji — taller, heavier. Full of power.

Tensed muscles, gritted teeth. His fists clenched so hard his knuckles cracked.

The bell rang.

BOOM!!

Reiji exploded forward, throwing a heavy right hook — the kind that could break ribs.

But Ryker didn't even flinch.

He weaved under the punch like smoke —

his right foot sliding back —

his body lowering smoothly.

Reiji kept charging —

left hook — right hook — body shot — wild uppercut!

Each blow missed by inches.

The crowd gasped.

Then — in a blink —

Ryker moved.

One step.

One breath.

He slid behind Reiji's back.

His left hand shot out —

grabbed the back of Reiji's collar —

yanked him downward.

Reiji stumbled, off-balance — his spine exposed for half a second.

THAT was enough.

Ryker twisted his entire body —

his right arm bending at an unnatural 90-degree angle, almost sideways —

and BLASTED a punch into Reiji's lower back with all his weight behind it.

BOOMMMMM!!!!!

The impact echoed like an explosion.

Reiji's body convulsed.

He gasped — choked — pain ripping through him —

his legs buckled.

The arena fell silent — stunned.

Ryker didn't smile.

Didn't shout.

Just stood there, breathing steadily, watching.

Reiji — struggling to stay up — tried to turn and swing another punch.

Too late.

Ryker stepped forward — palm-strike to the chest —

another to the throat —

then a quick brutal knee to Reiji's stomach.

THUMP-THUMP-BOOM!!

Reiji collapsed — coughing blood, gasping for air.

The referee ran in, waving his arms:

"STOP! MATCH OVER!! WINNER — RYKER TENSAI!!!"

The crowd erupted — half cheering, half in awe.

Ryker looked down at Reiji for a moment.

No hate. No pity.

Just cold eyes that said:

"I warned you."

Then he turned and walked back to the bench, not even looking back once.

The arena fell silent.

Everyone stared — stunned.

Whispers broke out:

"That... wasn't normal..."

"He's on another level..."

Even veteran fighters looked uneasy.

Ryker walked back to the bench — calm, cold, like nothing happened.

Sol Yoshida smirked.

Izumi and Shin exchanged knowing glances.

The audience realized:

Horizon Academy wasn't just strong.

They were terrifying.

And Ryker Tensai was the heart of that terror.

Next Match:

Shin Kazuto (Horizon) vs Naoya Takagi (Tenshima)

Bell rings!!

Naoya grinned — long legs, sharp stance — a kicker's form.

BAM!!

First move — brutal low kick!!

Shin shifted slightly — blocked with his knee.

Match:

Izumi Nakamura (Horizon) vs Daichi Mori (Tenshima)

Bell rings!!

Daichi charged fast — arms wide — aiming to grab and slam.

Izumi didn't panic.

He side-stepped lightly

Daichi missed — hands grabbing air!

Daichi spun — tried again — low shoot for a takedown!

Izumi pivoted, caught Daichi's neck

KNEE TO THE FACE!!!

CRACK!!!

Blood sprayed from Daichi's nose!

But Daichi roared — grabbed Izumi's waist

tried to lift him for a suplex

Izumi reacted instantly — elbows to Daichi's spine

BAM! BAM! BAM!!

Daichi's knees buckled — grip loosened.

Izumi slid out — circled behind —

Sleeper hold!!

Locked in perfectly.

Daichi struggled — thrashed — stomped —

but Izumi's technique was too tight.

Within seconds — Daichi's body slumped.

Referee raised his hand:

"STOP! WINNER — IZUMI NAKAMURA!!!"

Audience: "WOOOOO!!"

Izumi calmly let go — bowed — no unnecessary movement.

A flawless, clean victory.

Match:

Sol Yoshida (Horizon) vs Shogo Kaminari (Tenshima)

(Sword Battle – No Magic)

Bell rings!!

CLANG!!!

Instantly — their swords smashed together, sparks flying!

Sol — calm, perfect stance.

Shogo — wild, aggressive swings.

Shogo lunged — overhead slash!

Sol side-stepped —

SLICED at Shogo's ribs — just barely missed!

Shogo spun — low sweeping slash —

Sol jumped back smoothly, blade ready.

SHHHINGG!!

Another clash!

This time Sol pressed forward —

Three fast strikes —

High!

Mid!

Low!

Shogo barely blocked — his arms shuddering from the force.

Audience gasped —

Sol's precision was inhuman.

Shogo roared — tried a fake thrust — then real slash to Sol's shoulder!

But Sol already read it.

TAP!!

He parried — slid inside Shogo's guard —

POMMEL STRIKE to Shogo's jaw!!!

CRACK!!!

Shogo stumbled — teeth gritting — blood at the corner of his mouth.

Sol didn't waste a second —

A clean, final slash —

the edge of Sol's blade stopped a hair's breadth from Shogo's neck.

Dead silence.

Referee:

"WINNER — SOL YOSHIDA!!!"

Sol stepped back, lowered his sword with respect.

Audience:

"SOOOL!! SOOOL!!"

Shogo collapsed to his knees, defeated — but in awe.

Final Clash: Horizon vs Midoriyama!"

The arena shook with noise.

The final round.

The last match of the tournament.

The giant screen flashed the team names:

Horizon Academy vs Midoriyama High School

The announcer's voice thundered:

"Representing Midoriyama High School!

Haruto Kenzaki!

Arata Kenzaki!

Reina Tachibana!

Haruto Minami!

Rin Shirasawa!

Plus three more top students!

Stand proud — Midoriyama!"

Across the arena, Horizon Academy stepped forward:

Ryker Tensai.

Sol Yoshida.

Shin Kazuto.

Kenta (King).

Izumi Nakamura.

Tatsuya Jin.

Hiroshi.

Tohijo.

The tension was electric.

The ultimate scroll floated in the center of the arena, glowing brightly.

Each side had a goal box behind the enemy's team — a dangerous layout that would require both offense and defense.

The moment before the match, Sol whispered:

"Shin, what's the plan?"

Shin, adjusting his gloves, answered calmly:

"We defend. Block them, counterattack. Control the scroll."

But Ryker smirked darkly:

"No." he said. "We attack."

Shin frowned.

"I'm the strategist in the team, Ryker."

"Not today." Ryker said, his eyes flashing. "Today, we destroy."

The bell rang.

BAM!!

Midoriyama charged like a wave

Two boys and Reina Tachibana sprinted straight to the scroll, guarding their box aggressively.

Horizon tried to block — Shin ordered defense formations — but Midoriyama was fast, fluid, their teamwork razor-sharp.

Haruto Kenzaki grabbed the scroll first — running full speed.

Suddenly

he tossed it lightly into the air toward Arata Kenzaki

who caught it with ease and leaped forward, throwing it again toward Haruto Minami.

The audience roared.

They were almost at Horizon's goal box!!

But then

FLASH!!

Ryker Tensai appeared in a blur.

Snatching the scroll midair —

landing like a thunderclap —

he turned and looked back at Shin.

"Watch me, genius." Ryker said, smirking.

Midoriyama's team rushed to defend —

Reina Tachibana led the charge, moving like a storm.

Sol Yoshida stepped up —

deflecting attacks —

shielding Ryker with his sword, moving flawlessly.

The race toward Midoriyama's goal box began.

Ryker was in unstoppable

Halfway across —

Reina Tachibana stretched out her hand — her fingertips brushed the scroll in Ryker's hand — almost stealing it.

The audience screamed.

But Ryker — gritting his teeth — surged forward.

He was one step from placing the scroll into the Horizon box.

A strange sensation.

Suddenly, the scroll twitched in Ryker's hand.

"What—?"

Reina — her eyes calm, hand extended — had connected a thread.

Her power: Thread Trade.

Without warning, the scroll vanished from Ryker's hand.

SWOOSH!

In a blink, it appeared in Haruto's hand — far ahead!

The audience gasped — even Shin's sharp mind couldn't react fast enough.

"She traded it—!!"

Haruto sprinted toward the Midoriyama box.

But Sol blocked him — sword clashing against Haruto's arm.

The scroll slipped.

THWIP!

Another thread flashed — invisible to most.

Reina yanked the scroll away — it flew across the battlefield into Arata's hand!

BAM!!

Without hesitation, Arata slammed the scroll into the Midoriyama box.

DING-DING-DING!!

The bell rang.

"WINNER — MIDORIYAMA HIGH SCHOOL!!!"

The arena exploded in roars.

Commentators shouted:

"That was impossible!!"

"She switched the scroll mid-battle!!"

Reina stood calmly, her fingers still twitching with thin threads — almost invisible.

Sol clenched his teeth.

Ryker stared silently at Reina — not angry, but... impressed.

For the first time, Horizon Academy had lost.

And the name Reina Tachibana was now burned into everyone's memory.
