"Hmm."
How long have I been without sleep? I've lost count. These bastards keep appearing in the area.
"Just when I was wondering when they'd show signs of life."
The moment I thought I'd be trapped with these corpses forever, thank God, and I thought they'd forgotten about me.
"Einar, are you still alive?"
"Finally, where the hell are you bastards?"
"We had serious problems on the surface. They just reported that the area is plagued by [Effluvias], and there's a possibility of some [Resonance] emerging."
A resonance-level being? How strange. They said this was a blue sector. There should be only low or middle-class Effluvias. I've been doubting this mission for a while, but now with this, I can confirm it. These bastards set a trap for us from the start. I can already imagine they're coming from that place.
"Understood, change positions and come to me. Right now, I can't leave this place. If you manage to get me out, we can come up with a plan to get out safely."
"Understood, I'll give [Deimos] a heads-up about the change of plans."
"Take care, don't try to fight the Resonance, not until we know how dangerous it is."
"Shit!!! And to deal the final blow to my discouragement, there had to be a resonance in the area."
What do I do? I have plenty of energy, but by the time my team gets to me, I'll have wasted it with this wave of [Umbrians].
"Great, they broke the door."
At that moment, Einar decides to get up from his position and prepare for battle, her sword brimming with fierce energy as if he were just warming up.
"!!!! VERY WELL, SHOW ME WHAT YOU HAVE TO SHOW, YOU BASTARDS OF THE SHADOWS!!!"

After the communication between the two people, a young man appears, who must be in his 20s, of average height with a well-defined figure, orange hair, and brown eyes holding the communication device.
At his side, a beautiful woman of the same height or slightly shorter than the young man, with a fragile figure but exuding a seriousness as cold as winter, along with her gaze as sharp as a katana and her blue eyes as clear as water.
"What did Einar tell you?"
"He informed me that we've changed plans. We have to go to his position and free him from the place where he's trapped. After that, prepare a contingency plan in case the Resonator appears."
With just those words, the young woman lost her serious composure and displayed an anxious expression.
"I-I see."
"Mm? What's wrong? Why do you look nervous?"
That word was enough to worsen her behavior from anxiety to extreme distress.
"How could I not be nervous? You're forgetting we're talking about Einar! That crazy guy who's even capable of declaring war against the gods for his goal."
"Don't exaggerate, though. It's true that it's somewhat crazy, but not to that extreme. I think you're really nervous about it, Olivia. How about you do a Buddhist meditation exercise with me? That way you can relax and become one with the na-"
And without letting the young man finish speaking, Olivia slaps him, sending him flying into the wall a couple of meters away from them, destroying the entire wall along with a sound wave that would deafen a normal person.
"What do you know about Einar? You haven't known him as long as I have, Asher."
Coming out of the rubble, the young man touches her cheek and, shedding a small tear, shows hostility toward her.
"H-hey, was that slap necessary?! Any more and you'll be crazy! You call Einar crazy and you don't even look in the mirror."
"HAAA, what did you say!!!!"
"You two, stop it already! You're adults. You should show a little more maturity, don't you think?"
"SHUT UP!!!!"
"U-Ugh."
Perplexed was the only thing the person felt after the two silenced him.
"Tch, anyway, let's move before that guy does something crazy."
"I agree with you. Who knows what he's doing right now?"
Olivia and Asher decided to walk in the direction where the device marked the location of the Crazy Man, but just before continuing, they noticed someone missing.
"Hey Liria, are you coming or what?"
The same person who was perplexed is still in a state of shock over what happened, not knowing how to react or act.
"I think we broke her."
*sigh*
Young Olivia approaches the Liria Statue and moves it from its place to continue on her way to the meeting with her teammate. She turns her head in Asher's direction, signaling him with her hands.
"What can I do? Come help me. By the time she get back, we'll reach Einar's location."
"Okay."
***
"I'm almost there?"
"No"
"I'm almost there?"
"NO!"
"I'm almost there?"
"Keep that up and you'll get punched in the face, Asher."
"I'm bored. I want to go home."
*sigh*
"Me too, but there's still a few more left. Relax, there's only a few meters left."
"I hope we get there in time before-"
Just as Olivia finished saying something, the ground began to shake, becoming an earthquake, triggering an alarm on the device they had, showing a magnitude of almost 7.0. For the next event, a very large explosion was displayed a few hundred meters from Einar's team.
"What the fuck!"
"Damn!!! I knew it, I knew that crazy guy would do something crazy. He couldn't have waited until we arrived?!"
"Hmm? What haPPENED!? WHY IS THERE AN EXPLOSION?"
Due to the huge explosion, its cause unknown but easy to guess, Liria woke up from her shock, showing another face of disbelief in the event that appeared in her eyes a few meters away.
"Well, what do you think? It seems Einar got a little excited."
"Well, at least thanks to that explosion, you woke up. Come on, let's move quickly before that sick guy gets hurt."
"Good!"
"Okay!"
***
In the midst of the explosion, a figure emerges from the smoke, sending up a dark aura and white sparks, increasing in density and size as if the figure were showing signs of happiness and excitement. And so it was.
"YUJUUUU"
"Now this is a real fight!!!"
*High-pitched roar*
"So resonator classes are that strong, huh? impressive."
(Yeah, as you can see, I couldn't wait any longer and decided to face the resonator. I know I warned my team not to go alone against it, but I couldn't ignore the happiness and excitement of facing such an interesting being alone.)
After that thought Einar perceives that the Umbral Resonator jumps towards his direction at an abnormal speed giving a direct attack to his chest with its terrifying claws that would be able to split buildings without difficulty, although it looked like the attack was a danger and more being in the air, for Einar it was not, with a single movement of his hands he touches the upper part of the claws and raises his body upwards dodging the attack, consecutively he twists his arms and wrists a little turning them to move his body and give a direct kick to the Umbral's face
To his surprise, the attack wasn't as effective, further demonstrating the being's great resilience.
"Incredible, even though I attacked you with all my strength, you managed to withstand that."
And it was. Very rarely do enemies withstand his attacks, let alone a being of a lower rank than him. This is because even if the enemies have very low ranks, they still possess a characteristic that can overwhelm even beings of a higher rank than him.
After the attack, the resonator shows its jaws and begins to glow in its mouth, preparing a full-power charge attack in Einar's direction.
(This is bad, if that happens to me, I'll be in serious trouble.)
Without thinking much, Einar prepares an attack with his fist at maximum power, aiming for the top of the resonator's head and sending it crashing to the ground. With a secure landing, he prepares to dodge the incoming attack.
But the beast's next action left him perplexed. Instead of directing the direction toward Einar, it sent him straight into the sky, which was covered by black clouds as if a storm were approaching.
(Something's wrong. Resonators shouldn't be smart enough to have a strategy, and for a change, my senses indicate I'm in great danger right now.)
And that's how Einar's instincts told him: the beam of energy the resonator sent into the sky, upon contact with the clouds, absorbed the beam.
A single second lasted, and after that reaction, the clouds glowed, and the entire battlefield where the resonator and Einar were standing was obliterated by a powerful attack unleashed by the clouds as if they were part of the Umbra's attack.
The deafening sound of the explosion was so loud it could be heard for miles around, illuminating the world as if it were daytime.
