After the brutal fight, silence swallowed the alley.
Only the girl's broken cries echoed against the empty walls.
Tae Hyun's breathing was heavy, his chest rising fast.
Shin Hye, still wearing that strange open-mouthed smile, stared at the scattered corpses.
But slowly, her smile faded.
She stepped forward — calm, cold — toward the trembling girl.
Shin Hye (softly, expressionless):
"You don't have to be afraid. I'm with you now, little girl.
Tell me where you live... I'll take you home.
As for them..."
(She glanced once at the bloodied men.)
"They got what they deserved. Don't speak of it to anyone."
The girl — her body shaking — rushed forward and threw herself into Shin Hye's arms, burying her face into her chest.
For a moment, Shin Hye stood still, blank.
Then, awkwardly, she placed a stiff hand on the girl's head and closed her eyes with warmth just for a second.
Tae Hyun watched silently, still unsettled.
They all got back into the black Porsche 911 Turbo S, with two guard cars tailing behind. Other guards didn't dare to enter the fight without the order of Shin Hye.Because they knew shin hye will overcome anything moreover ,Tae Hyun was also with her.
Inside the car:
Girl (through broken sobs):
"My name's... Ha Rin. I left my friend's party... missed the last bus.
Those men... they..."
(She couldn't finish. Tears choked her.)
Shin Hye (without looking at her):
"Are you hungry?"
The girl didn't reply, staring blankly —
because seriously, who asks about food after something like that?
Shin Hye (to Tae Hyun, casually):
"Tae, let's grab something to eat."
Tae Hyun, still struggling with what he'd witnessed, nodded slowly:
"Yeah... sure. She's probably starving."
---
Later, they reached Ha Rin's home —
an old, crumbling apartment block called Moonlight Residences.
Her grandmother, a frail woman with a worried face, rushed to the door.
Grandmother (anxious, clutching Ha Rin's arms):
"What happened to you, child?! Why are you hurt? Who are these people?!"
Before Ha Rin could answer, Shin Hye smoothly stepped forward.
Shin Hye (calmly lying):
"She was being chased.
I and my..." (She glanced at Tae Hyun briefly, as if considering the word.)
"driver saw her being dragged to alley abd beaten by few men. We called the police — they've arrested the men now.
She's safe.
And... I thought she might be hungry, so we brought some food too."
The old woman, overwhelmed but grateful, pulled Ha Rin into a hug.
Grandmother (sobbing softly):
"I told you not to go outside late at night...!"
Ha Rin (in a small voice, glancing at Shin Hye):
"I won't... ever again."
The grandmother, touched by Shin Hye's kindness, insisted they join them for dinner.
Shin Hye tried to refuse politely —
but Tae Hyun quickly said yes.
Shin Hye turned her head sharply toward him, her eyes narrowing for a moment —
but she said nothing and agreed.
They had a simple meal.
Before leaving, the grandmother hugged Shin Hye tightly.
Grandmother (whispering):
"Thank you... for saving her."
Shin Hye stood there, frozen again, letting herself be hugged without reacting.
Just like a cold statue.
They finally reached back to their building: Silverstone Heights.
A high-rise filled with people who minded their own business — perfect for people like Shin Hye.
Shin Hye stepped out of the car, looking exhausted.
Shin Hye (without much energy):
"I'm going to sleep.
We'll deal with Alex tomorrow."
Tae Hyun:
"Yeah... sure. As you want."
As Shin Hye was about to disappear down the hallway, Tae Hyun called out:
Tae Hyun (hesitant):
"Shin... you felt like a different person back there.
When you were... fighting them."
Shin Hye paused.
Without turning her body — without even glancing back —
she answered, voice low and distant:
Shin Hye:
"Don't tell anyone about it."
Tae Hyun (serious):
"I won't."
And then, with slow, heavy footsteps,
her boots echoed off the cold corridor walls —
a haunting sound fading into the darkness.
