Anna's pov
I scrambled down from the cab in a hurry and paid the cab man before making my way into 'Sussy's Coffee bar' where I worked as a waitress, the monthly salary was kinda bountiful and I've been saving up for my mom's surgery since the last five months that I've been working here.
"You are late". Sussan queried the moment our paths crossed. I immediately bowed my head in remorse.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I met a traffic jam on my way here which made my ride here slow, I'm so sorry please". I pleaded but her lips just curled up in a warm smile.
"It's okay Anna, but I hope this won't happen again cause I know you are one of the most punctual workers here". She said which was true. I always wake up really early so I can get to work on time but today's routine was quite different cause I slept a little late the previous night because of some research work I was doing.
"It's a promise ma'am, I will always be punctual from now henceforth "I smiled brightly and she nodded.
"Alright off to your duty sweetie ". She said patting me lightly on the shoulder before she breezed past me. I sighed in relief.
Susan, my employer am sure was the nicest person on earth, she had always been good to me since I started working at the bar and I could bet with anyone that she loved me more than my other colleagues. It wasn't a guess but a fact. Susan is like a mother to me, a sister, a mentor. She thought me how to brew different espresso and make coffee art, she was exceptionally good in latte art cause she was well known to be a skilled barista.

I was so deeply engrossed in the Tulip art design I was making on a cup of cappuccino that I did not notice the presence of someone behind me. I was already a pro in making the latte heart design but this tulip has been given me a headache since I started learning it. I have been making a hell of mistakes in this particular design everytime I practice it and I don't want to get scolded by Susan again, this time I wanted it to be at least tinny Winny perfect, I would be so happy and Susan would be very proud of me, yes that's what I want, to make her proud, as her student that's my top priority.
"Boo". Someone screamed in my fucking ears which made me jump in shock and of course the jug I was holding that contained the milk spilled all over the cappuccino ruining my almost perfect work.
I turned furiously to take a murderous look at the intruder, her smile disappeared the moment she met my glaring gaze.
"Did I do something wrong?". She asked curling her fingers in fright. Did she seriously just ask that question. I bit my lips in fury and turned to stare at my work that was completely ruined and then stare at her again, a wicked grin surfacing on the corner of my lips.
"Mabel you are so dead today, you should just thank me that I will give you a few seconds to say your last prayer". I smiled but a devlish one at that.
"Hey! What! But I didn't mean to, I'm so sorry"she held my hands with pleading eyes but that didn't even make me change my mind, I was fully determined to end her today at least the afterlife was far much better than this brutal world.
"Mabel, I'm so gonna enjoy killing you in a not so pleasing way that would make your ghost haunt me for the rest of my life, it would be my best work of art". I smiled and she frowned.
"Look this isn't even funny "she looked pissed.
"Of course it is"I burst into a chuckle as I saw the genuine fright in her eyes.She hit my arm twice and cursed.
"You are really a devil Anna, you should go star in those horror movies at least you would get rich quickly if you enter the entertainment industry "she said.
"Yes why didn't I think of that, but the thing is I don't have the passion for acting". I said.
"Forget about passion, you have the talent so use it wisely"
"But fuck you Mabel, you ruined my work and with that you owe me a meal tonight, so it will be a win-win".I said with a triumphant smile on my face.
"Oh that's not going to work out tonight because someone will soon be getting herself a boyfriend". She said grinning from ear to ear. I frowned
"And what's that suppose to mean? don't tell me you broke up with Bruno and had been keeping it away from me since, aren't we best friends? we aren't suppose to hide anything from each other right?". I asked raising my eyebrows. She just exhaled
"Jeez! Stop jumping into conclusions Anna,I and Bruno are still together. I mean you Anna, you". She said which caught me off guard.
"And what do you mean me?" I was seriously curious right now.
"Do you remember Charles, the blonde guy we met at my brother's birthday party, the guy you were secretly admiring. He's my brother's friend and he is interested in you ".she said looking excited.
"What! He's interested in me?".My face had turned pale red in an instant and a sudden heat from nowhere had erupted in my body making me feel different emotions.
"Yeah, he came visiting yesterday and asked about you, he even said he wanted to know your house address and your phone number so I gladly told him". She smiled. It was now my brain exploded from the heat.
"What? You did what?".I found myself glaring daggers at her.
"I'm sorry I gave him your details without your consent Anna, I was super excited that's why" she said pleading with puppy eyes. I reluctantly hissed.
"Gosh Mabel, you just make me sick". I groaned drumming my fingers on the table unconsciously.
"Also he said he'll come visit you today, so prepare yourself tonight ". She smiled sheepishly. I gaped at her awestruck.
"What the hell!! So soon? Oh fuck you Mabel".I whined
"What's wrong? Aren't you excited to meet your crush". She asked. My cheeks had turned from pale red to scarlet red.
"I'm just nervous Mabel, how will I face that handsome face, he's just such a gorgeous being ". I blushed harder as I smiled
"It's okay darling, just take a deep breath and calm your nerves, tonight would be your best night ever " she giggled and I gave her a deathly glare.
"Scram! You idiot " I said and we both burst into laughter.
I was starting to empty the contents of the cappuccino in my mouth when Mabel started shaking me vigorously. I cursed inwardly.
"Hey, hey, hey". Mabel called almost in a whisper. I turned to face her not before slamming the cup on the table.
"Now what?". I asked
"Look, You've got some not so ordinary customers over there" she said pointing her index finger to the left swing of the bar and my eyes followed. There were two men, both dressed in customized vintage suit that screamed luxury. One was elderly while the other was younger, I guess Father and son if I'm right but there wasn't any slight resemblance, the elderly man exuded this sort of alluring aura. I watched as the other customers in the bar kept staring at them, some trying to take pics with their phones, I wondered why they were trying to take pictures, haven't they seen a rich personality before, what's up with them. It was when the elderly guy took off his shades that it dawned on me the kind of personality that just walked into our bar. I turned to stare at Mabel in awe and she was gaping at me in bewilderment too.
"Not just some ordinary customer indeed"I said and I covered her mouth with my palm before a fly will penetrate in.
"That's Richard Sebastian of Sebs construction industries that runs globally, what's that multibillionaire doing here?" Mabel asked me still stunned.
"To have coffee I guess"I gave her the perfect reply.
"Wait here, let me go attend to my customers ". I said to Mabel
"Pfffft"came her reply. I walked briskly over to their table, well, I only see this guy on Tv shows and magazines but now I'm meeting him face to face and I'm actually going to speak to him.
I felt so ackward the moment I stood at their table and the billionaire scrutinizing me from head to toe, the other guy which was unmistakenly his bodyguard as I've recognized him just kept his head bent downwards.
"Good morning gentlemen, you may kindly place your order". I bowed in courtesy dropping the menu on the table.
"Such a beautiful young lady". The billionaire said, his voice sounding so charming as his personality. I stared at him in shock or should I say bewilderment as a small grin appeared on his lips.
Did he just say I'm beautiful?My knees grew weak from the sudden cold that had taken control of my whole body.
Is this billionaire interested in me?Like for real he's seriously into me?
But he's old enough to be my Father right?I screamed in my head. So many wild thoughts assembled in my head and I felt like going crazy.
"I see you don't really fancy a compliment right?".He asked which made me freeze in panic. What was I supposed to say now, don't be too wierd Anna, I said to myself.
"Well_i_um__i".I found myself stuttering like the alien I was. Is this how people from Mars behave?they can't make a simple sentence, what the fuck Anna!
"Two cups of Americano" he said and I looked up at him with a confused look.
"What?". I found myself asking, looking genuinely confused.
"That's my order". He said flashing me a sly grin as he waved the menu across my face. It was then my senses returned to normal.
"Oh, oh right, expect it right away sir".I said and turned to hurry out of their sight.
"You would be perfect for my son". I heard him say and I turned back to stare at him in utter amazement, I caught him smiling at me and my whole body went numb.
Wait! What did he just say?
