Regarding the farce occurring in Nuoding City, Han Li naturally knew nothing, but he wasn't in the best state right now.
In the beginning, when his teacher took him soaring into the sky, he felt very excited. Humanity has always yearned for the blue sky. Moreover, this was an unprecedented experience for him.
After all, this was flying in the sky without any tools. Even though he was being carried, it was enough to make him marvel because it meant he could do it himself in the future.
Guang Ling thoughtfully used soul power to form a shield, enveloping him and Xiu'er, allowing them to freely observe below without any interference.
But once time dragged on, the experience became less enjoyable. After the initial novelty wore off and he got bored of the scenery below, he started feeling a bit restless. Guang Ling, thinking of him as merely a child, didn't bother asking for his opinion—at least not when it came to traveling.
He was eager to return and show off his newly accepted disciple, and his gains this time were significant. He had already decided that once he returned to Wuhun City and settled the boy's matters, he would immediately go into seclusion.
The opportunity for further advancement was right in front of him, making him impatient. If it weren't for just having taken on a disciple, he would have already found a place to attempt his breakthrough.
Guang Ling's speed was faster than when he came. Apart from stopping to let the two eat and relieve themselves, he spent the rest of the time flying at full speed towards Wuhun City.
As for their temporary discomfort, Guang Ling thought it was nothing, just a bit of boredom. Later cultivation would be even more tedious; if they couldn't adapt to this, how could they be soul masters?
Thus, in just over a day, Guang Ling brought the two back to Wuhun City, landing not far from the city gates.
Seeing the two children still somewhat listless, and since they had already reached Wuhun City, Guang Ling was no longer in a hurry. He used soul power to circulate in them, temporarily alleviating their physical fatigue, and explained, "Unless a special event occurs, no one is allowed to fly over Wuhun City except for law enforcement personnel."
Their physical fatigue alleviated considerably, and Han Li and Xiu'er looked at the grand city before them. The brief excitement overshadowed their mental exhaustion, and they perked up.
Han Li, with his previous life experience and mental preparation, remained relatively calm.
Xiu'er, having lived in Nuoding City all her life aside from her village, was seeing such a grand city for the first time. Thinking about living here in the future, she felt a mix of fear and anticipation, her eyes sparkling, though she couldn't help but cling to Han Li's arm.
Guang Ling smiled, took the two by the hand, and walked towards the city gates. Nothing dramatic happened; the three of them entered the city peacefully.
On the way to the Worship Hall, Guang Ling kept explaining the basic situation of Wuhun City to dispel their confusion. They stopped at a large complex, where he introduced the Worship Hall.
"You two will belong to the Worship Hall from now on. Just remember this."
After briefly explaining some basics, Guang Ling didn't mention anything else, reminding them of nothing regarding the internal factions. Such matters were not for children to worry about.
Han Li understood but had no intention of getting involved, nodding in agreement.
Along the way, various law enforcement personnel greeted Guang Ling and curiously glanced at the two children beside him, speculating about their identities.
At the foot of the mountain, Guang Ling looked at the two, then at the long stairs leading straight to the top of the mountain. After some thought, he took their hands again. With a flash of soul power under his feet, within a few breaths, the three of them appeared at the mountaintop.
Han Li opened his eyes to see a massive square with a towering angel statue holding a holy sword at its center. The statue emitted a white glow spreading in all directions. Combined with the surrounding white marble and golden decorations, it gave off a sacred feeling, making one want to bow in worship.
As soon as the three of them appeared, someone came forward to greet them, bowing to Guang Ling.
"Greetings to the Fifth Worship."
Guang Ling nodded in response. He then gently patted the still-stunned Xiu'er on the head and softly said, "Xiu'er, I'm going to take Xiao Li to meet the others. You should go rest at the place where you'll be staying, alright?"
Feeling a bit reserved, Xiu'er glanced at the young master's teacher but didn't dare to respond directly. Instead, she looked at Han Li.
Han Li took the initiative to hold her hand and said with a smile, "Sister Xiu'er, I'd appreciate it if you could arrange my bed. You know my habits."
Xiu'er nodded instinctively. Her sense of security came from her young master, and hearing Han Li's words made her feel much more at ease.
"This is my disciple and his sister. Arrange a separate palace for them, right next to my residence."
Seeing that his disciple had already reassured the little girl, Guang Ling gave the instructions unceremoniously to the person who had come to greet them.
"Yes, my lord."
The person hadn't expected the people he was to receive to have such high status. While shocked, he put on a kind smile, fearing to frighten the timid-looking girl.
"Miss, please follow me."
Xiu'er initially wanted to protest that she was just the young master's maid, but considering that it was Guang Ling Douluo who had spoken, she lost her nerve. She looked at Han Li again, and under his encouraging gaze, took a deep breath, bowed to Guang Ling, and followed the person towards a nearby building complex, occasionally glancing back at Han Li.
Only when their figures disappeared from view did Guang Ling look at his disciple and start walking towards the most prominent giant palace.
"I'm taking you to meet the other Worships. Remember, show respect to the Grand Worship. And be smart; your teacher here is young and doesn't have many good things. The ones you're about to meet are like your uncles and elder uncles. Even a little something from them will be enough for you."
Guang Ling, who was never the type to be straightforward, showed his true colors now that it was just the two of them. His personality was strikingly similar to Han Li's.
Han Li nodded vigorously. He understood the concept of meeting gifts.
He then looked at his teacher and said, "But, teacher, I don't have a soul tool. Even if there are good things, I can't carry them."
Guang Ling rubbed his head vigorously and said with mock annoyance, "You little rascal, trying to use that on me already? No rush. It's not impossible to get you one, but I don't have a good one right now. Remember, the Fourth Worship, Lion Douluo—the one with the golden beard—is easy to recognize. He has a soul tool that can store living creatures, with a space of about a hundred cubic meters. He doesn't use it. Watch my performance when we go in and play along. Your storage soul tool will be his. Got it?"
Han Li nodded sincerely, inwardly admiring his teacher's cunning.
Seeing his disciple easily accept his way of thinking, Guang Ling's smile broadened.
