Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The Demon King’s Playground

"Wow, that's strong!!" Zhao Shishi was genuinely surprised. From what she knew, Benjamin's family definitely didn't specialize in this type of combat, and no one in his family used body enchantments like this.

This "melee mage" style... was incredibly rare. She'd only heard of it in passing, and the few known practitioners seemed to pass it down to just one successor per generation. Could Benjamin be the heir to this style?!

"Go! My Dark Magic Arrow!!!" Karls let go of the string, and in an instant, a magical arrow shot out.

"Go! My soul's blazing tiger!!" Benjamin yelled, and with a powerful strike, both his fists surged forward, engulfed in terrifying flames, morphing into a mighty tiger.

In no time, the enormous tiger caught up with the arrow and swallowed it whole.

Wind stoked the flames! Within a blink of an eye, the fire tiger grew larger, more lifelike, and lunged at the Dark Soul.

"Devour it!!! Dark Fierce Tiger!!!" Karls, with all the confidence of a middle-schooler, shouted, completely unaware of his returning "delusional disease."

"Wait... Isn't that the 'Heaven-Destroying Savage Tiger Break'?" Benjamin asked, genuinely surprised.

Cough, cough... "That's the name of the technique. I was referring to this fire tiger!" Karls paused, finally realizing he had slipped into his "delusional phase" again.

Boom!!!

With a huge crash, the fire tiger collided heavily with the Dark Soul. The magic briefly neutralized, then, in a flash, it disappeared.

"Ugh... What the heck is going on? How did Karls pull something like this off?" Luo Qi, through his perspective magic, was watching the whole situation unfold. He quickly used spatial magic to move the Dark Soul and their attacks back into the Dark Soul Plane.

No choice, his friends were in the classroom. As a "normal person," it was really tough making good friends, so he absolutely couldn't let them mess things up.

After observing and analyzing for a while, he figured out that the reason the Dark Soul was growing was because of all the magic being used around here. The more magic was cast, the more the Dark Soul's power was triggered. This area had an unusually high concentration of Dark Souls, and the intense magical fluctuations just made the gap between the world and the Dark Soul Plane wider, causing the creature to grow bigger.

So, before things got even worse, Luo Qi had no choice but to step in. After all, this was his mess, and as a righteous Demon King, he couldn't let anyone else take the blame!

Using a magical doll to replace himself, Luo Qi entered the Dark Soul Plane through spatial movement magic.

The void of the world had no light, but for some reason, there was very thin air. Of course, there were no living creatures here—only drifting fragments of Dark Souls.

However, with his naturally strong night vision, Luo Qi could clearly see in front of him a gigantic humanoid Dark Soul and a faint flicker of firelight.

Without a doubt, that little flicker of firelight was probably from that "Middle Schooler Fire Attack" Benjamin had used earlier.

He had to admit, Benjamin's combat power was actually pretty solid! With a bit more growth, he'd likely become a top-tier magician in the world, possibly even break through to become a Magic King. And his fighting style might even start a new trend.

But before long, the firelight vanished, and the tiger-shaped magic was tragically devoured by a force. Clearly, the local "bosses" of the Dark Soul Plane were far from pushovers.

"Of course, these are a bunch of mindless monsters... they didn't even recognize me, the Demon King?" Luo Qi sighed. "Well... time to clean up the Dark Souls in this area."

He noticed the Dark Souls around him were rapidly gathering, and within a few breaths, the Dark Soul grew to the size of a giant, still quickly expanding.

"Hmm... are all the Dark Souls within hundreds of kilometers of this place coming towards me?" Luo Qi couldn't help but smile helplessly. That giant Dark Soul had already reached the size of a mountain, and it clearly wasn't satisfied.

"Well... okay, guess I don't have to worry about power here." Luo Qi smiled smugly, feeling like a teenage boy showing off his muscles. Finally, the perfect chance!

"Now... let's summon a Fire Elemental Fairy." Luo Qi said with a smile. This way, he could technically achieve the "Magic Class Success" in a roundabout way, right?

The next moment, a little girl in a red dress appeared beside him.

In an instant, the world around Luo Qi was bathed in bright red light.

"Wait... Did I really summon an Elemental Fairy Queen?" Luo Qi's mouth twitched. His decision had been spot on...

"Yes, my Demon King. I've been waiting for your summons for 15 years," the Fire Elemental Fairy Queen spoke.

"Fifteen years? I was only one year old back then... did I summon you?" Luo Qi asked, somewhat speechless. While he knew he'd been aware of being the Demon King since he was a month old, he obviously didn't remember such a distant event.

"Yes, my Demon King, you are truly unique. How could I forget?" The Fire Elemental Fairy Queen nodded.

"Right... let's stop chatting. We've got work to do. Lend me your power." Luo Qi said seriously, feeling the mounting pressure.

"Please, use me!" The Fire Elemental Fairy Queen immediately transformed into a fiery sword.

"Uh... Still using a sword? We're in a new era now." Luo Qi shook his head lightly, and then, with a flick of his wrist, he changed the fiery sword into a handheld fire Gatling gun.

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" But just as Luo Qi was having fun, the giant Dark Soul raised its massive arm and swung it toward him, the impact feeling like a tsunami.

"Stay put, test subject." Luo Qi said coldly, not even bothering to look.

"BOOOOOOM!!!" The next moment, the immense magical power completely obliterated the Dark Soul's massive hand.

Immediately, a giant magical cage made of magic appeared around the Dark Soul.

Anyone from the Hero's team over 700 years ago would immediately recognize this as the Demon King's ultimate move—the Demon King's Cage.

A nearly indestructible magical prison, filled with traps that could kill just by touching it. Back in the day, it was usually only 100-square-meter magic cages. But Luo Qi's version was easily over 100 meters on the shortest side.

"Ah, so this is how you play with elements..." Luo Qi smiled, enjoying himself, his expression almost childlike.

"Well, this should take care of you." Luo Qi said to himself, raising his fire Gatling gun.

At the same time, a giant version of the fire Gatling gun, several hundred times larger, appeared behind him. The gun's barrel was now almost as large as the giant Dark Soul's head.

Since the space here was void-like, with no limits on distance, Luo Qi could easily amplify the magic to such a degree.

"Say goodbye~" Luo Qi flashed a sinister grin, one that matched his Demon King persona, and pulled the trigger.

"Vroom~~~~!! BOOOOOOM!! BOOOOOOM!! BOOOOM!! BOOOOOOM!! BOOOOOOM!! BOOOOOOM!! BOOOOOOM!!…"

The next moment, the entire space was filled with a massive barrage of fireballs made from elemental magic.

The light was so intense that Luo Qi used magic to create a layer of tint on his glasses, effectively turning them into temporary sunglasses.

Once the explosive sounds died down, everything around was completely silent, and there were no more Dark Souls to be seen.

All was at peace.

"Hmm... this could be a great place to blow off some steam... and contribute to world peace. A Demon King like me is definitely the kindest in history," Luo Qi nodded with satisfaction, his expression akin to a child finding a new playground.

However, Luo Qi was blissfully unaware—he was probably the strongest Demon King in history! If all the Demon Kings combined, they'd probably still fall short of his level.

If he truly wanted to destroy the world, he wouldn't even need a few days—minutes would suffice.
