Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - Poor Demon King

The old man handed her the sword.

Without even touching it, she smirked and slipped it straight into her ring.

'Hehehe… if I have this, then… hehe…'

She couldn't stop grinning.

What was 500 million compared to this? She would've given him her entire card if he'd asked. The old fool clearly didn't understand the sword's true value.

She sat there, pretending to wait patiently, but her eyes flicked around the room—sharp, calculating.

Her head spun with possibilities, wondering if there were anything else like that sword in his possession.

Maybe something he was trying to hide?

The old man saw the gleam in her eyes. His lips twitched.

He cleared his throat and finally spoke. "Calculating your total purchase the rough estimate is around… 540 million."

The number alone said enough.

Even her father would hesitate at a price like that. Not that she cared much about him anyway.

'What would happen if she suddenly spends such a big amount from his treasury.'

Well,that wasn't her concern.

She just smiled and transferred 600 million without blinking.

He blinked twice.

"Hmph," he grunted, frowning slightly. 'Was she… tipping him?'

He watched her closely, lips twitching as he debated whether this was her trying to be generous… or just showing off.

Still, a tip was a tip.

He wasn't complaining.

'Hmm… Maybe she isn't as bad as she looks'

But just as he was warming up to her, his fantasy shattered.

"Hey, gramps," she said, voice dry and business-like. "I just transferred you 600 million, right? Give me 50 million of it back—in cash."

"…."

He froze.

"You can keep the extra 10 million," she added sweetly, almost like an afterthought.

His eyebrow twitched. Twitched. Twitched. TWITCHED.

Was she really half-demon? No—she was worse than a demon.

A little devil.

He narrowed his eyes. "Why the hell do you want that much cash…. Also, you think I carry so much cash with me"

She shrugged. "What do you think's is going to happen when I spend 600 million in a single day?"

She said waving the card in front of his face

She leaned in slightly. "This is just a precaution."

He understands her meaning.

He felt bad for his king.

Poor demon king.

"And if you don't have that much cash, that's fine. Just return my 60 million. I'll get it from someone else."

Her meaning was clear as crystal: No help. No tip.

The old man stared at her.

He wanted to slap her.

Just once.

Her beautiful, smug little face—it begged to be slapped.

But instead, he forced a wide, twitching smile. "O-of course I have that much cash."

He reached into his ring and transferred her 50 million worth of gold coins—universal currency across the entire world.

Even after that, he had to remind himself: I still made 10 million. Smile, damn it. Smile!

She was a good customer.

He just couldn't stand her personality.

"…Gramps," she said, blinking at him. "Please stop smiling like that. It's creepy."

"…"

Instantly, his face dropped, his expression turning into something straight out of a nightmare.
