Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 - I like blood

She tightened the last strap on the gloves and gave her fingers a slow stretch. They responded like old friends—familiar, loyal, quietly dangerous.

She could feel the mana already pulsing more freely, like her veins had been unclogged after years of stagnation.

But this wasn't enough.

Not even close.

She turned back to him—eyes calm, sharp.

"I'll also need the pendant," she said. "The one that hides mana signatures."

The old man raised a brow. "The Illusory Pendant?"

She nodded once.

[Illusory Pendant – A Rank]

A silver amulet etched with distorted reflection runes.

Effect: – Suppresses mana signature completely when worn

– Creates a passive veil that masks identity from mid to high-tier detection spells

– Can be used continuously with constant manna supply

Side Effects: None

A simple black cord, a pale silver jewel shaped like a broken mirror shard, hanging like it didn't care about anything.

She took it.

Looped it around her neck, letting it fall just below her collarbone.

"And the storage ring," she added without missing a beat.

He narrowed his eyes. "You planning to rob a dungeon or start one?"

He grumbles gave it to her

[Spatial Ring – Mid Tier]

Storage Capacity: 300 cubic meters

Bound to user upon blood seal

Can only store non-living items

Special: Enchanted with 'Quick Draw'—can summon item in under 0.5 seconds

Warning: Severing the ring from user will trigger mana backlash.

The ring shimmered into her palm, cold silver with a tiny indigo gem set in the middle.

One drop of blood, and it flickered softly—bound.

"Convenience, finally."

She murmured

Then, casually—like it was no big deal—she looked back at the old man again.

"You got any monster blood? Or parts?"

He stared at her. "Why?"

That's when her smile shifted. Tilting her head she smiled innocently.

"I like monster meat," she said, mock-sheepish. "And blood."

"…"

A pause.

Then she added, voice just a breath lower:

"You know why."

"…"

He stared at her.

No reply.

Because he knew.

of course he knew.

A demon of his level surely knows what happening in the demon realm.

He knew what she was. A half vampire.

He knew the truth of her lineage—probably better than she did.

Her smile stayed intact, but her eyes said something darker.

He clicked his tongue, clearly annoyed, and clapped his hands once. A ripple of dark red mana swept through the air—and three orbs formed in front of her, pulsing with dark fluids and twitching monster sinew, still fresh and enchanted.

They dropped into her storage ring without her touching them.

She gave him a little wink.

"Thanks, grandpa."

He scowled.
