Chapter 10 - 10. [5 Great Saints]

In a dimly lit room there stood 5 magnificent, royal looking thrones on an elevated platform.

Each throne was a piece of art, finely designed with intricate carvings and pulsing runes.

The thrones alone looked intimidating but what was more intimidating were the persons sitting on those thrones, each exuding an unfathomably dense and deadly aura. Their aura's spoke volumes about their strengths and ages, just staying in the presence of such a aura might kill an diamond rank cultivator.

On the thrones sat the 5 leader's of the organization named '5 Great Saints'. They were a very strong organization with one of the leader at the very peak of his cultivation path on the verge of breaking through to the Sage rank.

But because of the limit of his talents and potential he couldn't breakthrough. But he was still amongst the strongest of saints in the world.

They all five were looking at a man in front of them kneeling on one knee with head bowed down in reverence. If Morgan was here he would have easily remembered this person. He was that same mysterious man who came to his base gave him the mission to watch over Daren and Aria.

The same man, no the same monster who beat him up like a street dog was now bowing in front of this people, if he had seen this scene he would have been scared shitless of this 5 individuals.

What kind of strength does one need to make such a monster bow to them.

"Did you find anything suspicious Nomar."

One of the saint spoke, his voice cold.

"No. They have been behaving normally with no sign's of any suspicious moment."

Nomar spoke about Daren and Aria, head still bowed his voice respectful. Nomar was one of the sub leader of the 5 Great Saints organization.

He was their strongest fighter after the 5 saints. He too was on the brink of breaking through to the saint rank but the limitations of talents and potential bound him too the peak of the grandmaster stage.

"Hmm... That's good. Keep track of them, inform us of their every movement. We can't have them making a move while we are on the mission or it'll be catastrophe for us."

"Yes master! I'll see through it, if needed I'll personally keep an eye on them." Nomar responded back with utmost sincerity.

"Hm. You can leave now."

The same saint spoke again.

Following his orders Nomar left the throne room after giving another bow to them. His steps fading away in the distance.

"Huh.. How's the preparation going Maarin."

The man who has been speaking from the beginning sighed and asked the person beside him.

"Everything's good so far Dorox, no delays neither any mistakes." Maarin replied. She was a beautiful looking young lady. Though appearance could be always deceiving.

A person who cultivates could keep their youthful appearance until they near the end of their life's. And a saints age was so long that it was hard to tell how old they are from their appearance alone as most of them still have their youthful appearance.

Dorox the strongest of them and the one who has been speaking up until now with Nomar hummed.

Dorox was sitting on the central throne, to his left sat Maarin and Falco, to his right sat Edward and Vamir.

They were the top leaders of the 5 Great Saints organization. They were just a normal mercenary organization in the capital city who provided services for money.

But recently they have grown more stronger in quantity and quality.

And now they were planning to launch an attack at the capital city with the help of another kingdom, though their goal wasn't actually to acquire the capital city and rule it but rather it was to acquire an artifact that was kept in the Royal treasury.

It is said that the artifact when used can help a grandmaster at the peak of their cultivation to break through the saint stage. And their goal was to acquire that artifact and help their numbers increase and then give it to the kingdom that was helping them.

The attack on the Royal capital was just to distract the Royal gaurds who were also saints.

Their plan was simple, the helping kingdom will send their saints to fight on the front lines to distract the Royal gaurds while these five would enter the Royal Palace through a secret passage and break into the treasury to steal the artifact.

When their work was done, the forces on the front lines will also retreat. Later they'll first use the artifact to help their 5 faithful grandmasters who were at the peak or reaching the peak of their cultivation to breakthrough to the saint stage and then hand it over to the helping kingdom.

"Hmph. To think people of such a stature would be living such a mundane life like lowly mortals."

Vamir the hot headed snorted referring to Daren and Aria.

"You could speak such a word's only behind their backs vamir. If that 'Death Maiden' heard your word's she would skin you alive like a pig."

Falco the one who was always against vamir spoke in disdain.

A chill ran down vamir's spine upon remembering that mad woman who almost killed an entire battalion of army of a kingdom just because their leader laughed on her husband.

It was a gruesome sight, the way she left them half dead with their limbs twisted at unnatural angles and guts spilling out. And she did it all with a crazed smile on her face which made it look even more horrifying to others.

"It's better if they stay that way, we can't have two Sages running rampart in the empire let alone this kingdom."

Edward the most wise of them spoke in a grave tone. He knew very well how terrifying a sage could be, that's why he had suggested that they keep an eye on the couple so that they don't mess up their plan.

Though the couple didn't have any known relationship with the kingdom's Royal family but it was better to stay cautious.

"Hm. You are right Edward, they are a wild card. Who knows what runs in the mind of those immortals, though they wouldn't interfere in others bussiness but.. Sages are known for their unpredictable and irrational nature."

Dorox spoke massaging his temples, just thinking about them gave him a headache.

"We could only hope for the best. Because if they move, we all die. Just hope that they don't mind us."

Maarin said consoling them. It wasn't like they had a death wish or anything, but living for such a long time stuck at the same place had made them desperate. Despite having everything they still wanted more.

Unknown to them the couple they are speaking of was too busy to mind them. They were fucking like rabbits throughout the night.
