Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 : Espionage

The next day, after hearing the news, Art was also assigned to go undercover and provide information about Rojan and his group's activities, so that the police could easily capture them.

Sergeant Andrew provided Art with his undercover equipment. He was given a bulletproof vest, a voice recorder, a detector device, and a micro camera connected to GPS, allowing the police to easily track Art's location and monitor the details of Rojan and his group.

That day, Sergeant Andrew had prepared a special aircraft to take Art to the Kingdom of Arial. The plane was specially designed to be undetectable by radar and bomb-proof, making it very safe for the intelligence team to use.

Afterward, Art boarded the aircraft, and it was ready to take off toward the Kingdom of Arial.

Meanwhile, Tommy accidentally bumped into Jeni, Julia's younger sister, near the road leading to the electric train station.

"Hi Jeni, where are you going?" Tommy greeted warmly.

"Today, I'm visiting my uncle's house in Japan. It's been a long time since I met him. Since Art and Julia's wedding, he hasn't visited Venice anymore after hearing about the chaos here," said Jeni.

"Have your parents already given you permission to go there?" asked Tommy.

"Yes, Tommy, I already told them and they allowed me. I might stay there for a few weeks!" Jeni replied.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to go alone?" Tommy added.

"Oh, it's fine, Tommy. I've been there alone before on vacation!" Jeni answered.

Not long after, the electric train arrived at the station and was about to continue its journey from Venice to Japan.

"Alright then, Tommy. Goodbye for now, I have to go!" said Jeni.

"Hmm, wait Jeni! Can I come with you to Japan?" Tommy quickly asked as he swiped his ticket at the machine. Suddenly, Tommy also wanted to go with Jeni to Japan.

"Oh, hmm, now I'm feeling a little awkward, Tommy, but okay if you want to come along!" Jeni agreed reluctantly, seeing that Tommy had already purchased his ticket.

Then Tommy and Jeni boarded the train, sitting next to each other, and the train started moving.

Throughout the journey, Jeni and Tommy chatted while enjoying the scenery through the train window.

"I really didn't expect you'd come with me to Japan. If my uncle finds out, he might think you're my boyfriend!" Jeni said shyly.

"Ah, that's okay, Jeni. Your uncle will probably be happy knowing that someone is looking after you!" Tommy replied confidently.

"Oh yes, you're right! Once we get there, I really want to go to my uncle's tea farm and pick green tea leaves. It's a habit of mine to pick tea leaves and brew delicious tea!" said Jeni excitedly.

"Wow, I'd love to try your brewed green tea too, it must be really delicious!" Tommy praised.

However, in the middle of their conversation, there was a passenger who looked suspicious, seemingly watching them from the back. Tommy noticed the passenger, who wore a brown coat and a fedora hat, sitting in the very back row, pretending to read a newspaper but occasionally glancing at Jeni with a strange look. Tommy slowly approached the passenger to try and introduce himself and find out who he was.

But as Tommy approached, the mysterious passenger suddenly stood up and moved to the next train car.

"Hmm, why did he move to the back car?" Tommy mumbled, turning away from chasing him.

"What's wrong, Tommy?" Jeni asked, noticing Tommy from behind.

"Oh, nothing, I was just curious about one of the passengers," Tommy replied as he returned to his seat beside Jeni.

"Which passenger, Tommy?" Jeni asked, glancing around at the other passengers.

"Hmm, there was a man behind us wearing a brown coat and a fedora hat. He moved to the next car right after I tried to approach him!" Tommy answered.

"Oh, and why are you curious about that passenger?" Jeni asked, confused.

"He kept watching us and his movements looked suspicious!"

"Never mind, let's just enjoy these pineapple tarts!" Jeni said as she pulled out a box of pastries from her bag, and they continued chatting and enjoying the scenery.

Meanwhile, Art had arrived in the Kingdom of Arial. This time, he arrived without any escort. The aircraft crew immediately left, leaving Art to carry out his mission alone.

Art planned to stay in an abandoned house at the border between Venice and Arial. The area was dangerous for newcomers, as it was the site where the war had first broken out, leading all the way to the royal palace.

Art chose to stay temporarily in a small, deserted house. After cleaning it, he stored his supplies and set up his weapons, ensuring all ammunition was ready in case of an attack.

"Ahhh, I have to activate this device so they can track my location!" Art said as he grabbed a micro GPS chip and attached it to a corner of the room, activating it via a laptop.

The micro GPS started blinking and was successfully connected to police headquarters.

"Alright, now I need to find some locals to blend in!" Art muttered, closing the door and heading outside.

After a few hours, Art found a fabric merchant in the kingdom. He then introduced himself and started a conversation.

"Excuse me, sir, do you know a young man named Rojan?" Art asked, pretending to be a local.

"Yes, he is a very strict and iron-handed leader! Are you new to this kingdom?" the merchant replied.

"Yes, sir, I'm new here. I just moved from Romania," Art lied to hide his true identity.

"Oh, welcome to our kingdom! But why are you asking about Captain Rojan, our leader?" the merchant asked curiously.

"Oh, I'm just working on a documentary video about this place for my homeland!" Art quickly said.

"Alright, young man, but if you plan to visit him, be very careful. Captain Rojan lives in the palace guarded by fierce soldiers. Any newcomers who meddle in his government affairs are tortured first and then executed!" the merchant warned fearfully.

"Ohh, don't worry, sir, I'm just making a documentary. I have no intention of meddling in your government's affairs!" Art reassured the merchant.

"Hmm, alright then. Oh, and if you like, I have some beautiful fabric here, like the one I'm wearing," said the merchant, pointing to a brown silk fabric.

"Oh, yes, that one! It looks nice!" Art said, pointing at the fabric.

"This fabric is made from silk spun by worms. It's quite expensive, but it's very high quality, perfect for making clothes or jackets or pants," explained the merchant.

"How much does it cost, sir?"

"Since you're new here, it's only $4,000 for you, although its real price is $7,000!" the merchant replied.

Art then quickly took out $4,000 and bought the fabric to have it made into clothes so he could better blend in with the locals.
