Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: The Destructive Power of Giants

Chapter 49: The Destructive Power of Giants

After Livanos left, Nicholas immediately gathered Bell-lin and the others, telling them to prepare for departure. Simon and Katie were to handle the resupply work, while Vistad led his men to replenish ammunition and other necessities. As for Bell-lin, she would naturally stay with Nicholas.

Soon, in the dead of night a day later, a Large Ship sailed out of Water Seven and headed towards the vast Grand Line.

After entering a relatively stable sailing environment, everyone on the Ship relaxed a lot. After sailing for a few more hours, Nicholas ordered the Ship to drop anchor and moor, and had his men begin to take shifts for rest.

As for Nicholas, he summoned the Crew Member on the Ship and gathered them in the Captain's Room.

The other Pirates on the Ship didn't know what the Captain and these Crew Member were discussing. They only knew that a fierce argument erupted in the Captain's Room. Both Miss Bellin, who always wrapped herself up tightly, and Mr. Vistad, who was more responsible than the Captain on the Ship, were in a bad mood.

Even Katie, who was usually the Captain's favorite, was crying when she came out of the Captain's Room.

However, these things had nothing to do with them, the ordinary Crew member. They clearly knew that in Captain Nicholas's eyes, his true companions were only those Crew Member called into the Captain's Room. They, the ordinary Crew member, were just expendable commodities that could be replaced at any time.

But they had no complaints. After all, compared to other Pirate Captain, Nicholas was already doing quite well. At least with a Captain of great Strength in battle, their chances of survival were higher, and they could keep a large portion of the plundered goods.

Looking at the empty Captain's Room, Nicholas sat in his chair and couldn't help but smile wryly.

He also knew that others were unwilling to accept his decision, but what could he do?

The world ahead would be chaotic, and he wasn't even sure he could survive it, let alone Bell-lin and the others.

Nicholas stood up, intending to change into clean clothes and then get a good night's sleep.

But he found his Room door locked. He reached out and knocked. The door opened just a crack, and before Nicholas could enter, a Bald Chicken, a few pieces of clothing, and a blanket were thrown out.

Looking at the Bald Chicken in his arms with its bewildered gaze, Nicholas smiled bitterly.

Helpless, Nicholas had no choice but to carry the Bald Chicken, blanket, and clothes to the Crow's Nest on the Deck and squeeze in with Simon for the night.

"Captain, what's this?"

Simon looked at Nicholas, who had appeared, with a blank expression, clearly not understanding why Nicholas had come to the Crow's Nest late at night.

"What's with that look? I don't trust your Observation Haki. I'm afraid you'll let our Ship pass by."

Nicholas tossed the Free-Range Chicken to Simon, then spread out the blanket, changed into a comfortable position, and said seriously. After all, admitting he'd been kicked out was a bit embarrassing.

Saying he was helping Simon keep watch, Nicholas ended up sleeping soundly. When he woke up, it was already the morning of the next day. Nicholas opened his eyes and saw Simon with a resentful look. They had agreed to take over the watch last night, but Nicholas had slept so deeply he couldn't be woken up.

Just as Nicholas was about to question Simon about why he hadn't woken him up last night, he heard excited shouts from the Pirates at the bow of the Ship, "Everyone, come quickly and see! A Ship, a Ship made of gold!"

Hearing this, Nicholas raised an eyebrow slightly. "Oh, so my Ship has arrived."

"Raise the Sail and move closer!"

Following Nicholas's command, the Sail began to rise, and the entire Ship also began to turn, moving towards the newly appeared Ship.

On this brand-new, luxurious Large Ship, there were many people wearing black suits and top hats.

Many people were still chatting and laughing, clearly thinking this Mission was quite simple, like a Vacation.

But just as they were relaxing, the Alarm on the Ship suddenly went off.

"What's going on?!"

Someone quickly asked loudly.

"Enemy attack! A Ship is rushing straight towards us from the three o'clock direction."

"What's the situation?! Isn't our Banner displayed?"

Looking at the World Government Banner fluttering in the wind above their heads, and the Family Crest Flag representing one of the World Noble, this person immediately shut up.

The fact that the other side dared to charge even after seeing the Banner meant it definitely wasn't a misunderstanding. Their Target was them.

Half an hour later, as the Large Ship changed hands, Nicholas and his crew sailed the Large Ship, custom-made for World Noble, into the distance.

A few days later, in an unknown Sea Area of East Blue, Nicholas, who was meditating, suddenly heard Simon shouting loudly, "Captain, something big has happened!"

Big deal?

What Big deal could there be recently? Nicholas raised an eyebrow slightly. Could it be that the World Government and Rocks had started a full-scale war in the New World?

But thinking about it, that's impossible. How could he not have received any News? Could it be that his position as Captain of the Seventh Division was fake?

While thinking this, Nicholas had already arrived on the Deck. At this moment, many people had gathered on the Deck, seemingly attracted by Simon's shouts.

"What's with all the screaming early in the morning? What Big deal could it be? Could it be that the Five Elders slaughtered all the Celestial Dragons, and then the Navy slaughtered those World Government guys?"

Seeing this, Nicholas stepped forward and said to Simon in an annoyed tone.

"Captain, take a look for yourself."

Seeing Nicholas appear, the crowd that had gathered immediately made way, and Simon handed over a Newspaper he was holding. "Newspaper we just received today."

Nicholas took the Newspaper and then his gaze fell upon it.

The next second, his eyes narrowed slightly.

On the front page of the Newspaper, a headline was prominently written in bold black font:

[Justice Island Has Fallen! Giant Warrior Pirates Make a Comeback!]

Below this news headline was a large picture, taking up a full quarter of the page.

In the picture, it was clear to see that the walls of Justice Island had been directly breached with two gaps hundreds of meters wide. Ruins and rubble were everywhere, and the originally tall Tower of Justice had been cut in half.

On the Sea Surface of Justice Island, two Giant figures stood proudly, each wielding a Great Axe and a Giant Sword respectively. Behind them were two more Giants, who were Oimo and Kasi, the gatekeepers of Justice Island.

Clearly, those two Giants were Blue Ogre Dorry and Red Ogre Brogy, two of the Captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates from a hundred years ago.

It seemed that after Kasi and Oimo found the Captain, they told the Captain the reason they were tricked into guarding Justice Island. As a result, the two of them directly attacked Justice Island in anger.

"First Captain you, then the disappeared Captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates. After two consecutive rounds of attacks, Justice Island is now a complete mess. As soon as the News spread, it caused a sensation throughout the world. After all, this is a direct slap in the face to the World Government!"

"Ha, actually, this matter is just so-so."

"Huh?" Simon was stunned. "What do you mean?"

Bell-lin, who walked over from the side, glanced at Nicholas and began to explain.

"It's simple. The symbolic meaning of Justice Island is greater than its practical significance. Although this institution is parallel to Marine Headquarters and directly established and administered by the World Government, you saw that day that its Strength is not even comparable to a Marine Branch in the New World, let alone Marine Headquarters.

In addition, considering the delicate relationship between Elbaf and the World Government, this matter is likely to be blown over, turning big issues into small ones, and small ones into nothing."

Nicholas was thinking, "But I should say, as expected of a military superpower in the One Piece World. Just two Captain who went to sea have such destructive power. If such Warrior reached a certain scale, a group of guys tens of meters tall wielding huge Weapon and lining up to unleash Elbaf Spear, just thinking about it is terrifying."
