Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

John Allen, the most pathetic teacher in the entire institute, stood out for all the wrong reasons. His students consistently ranked last in the Teacher Assessment Programs, and other teachers looked down on him due to his weakness and his class's dismal performance. In fact, his class was the weakest in the entire history of the institute.

In this world, the path of martial arts was revered, and the strong reigned supreme. The weak had no qualifications to speak, and John, as the weakest teacher, was often belittled. While other teachers were at least low-level 2-star martial warriors, some even reaching 3-star status, John was stuck at mid-level 1-star.

As John walked back to his classroom, the weight of the Headmaster's words lingered. His students' performance was not just a reflection of their abilities, but also of his own worth as a teacher. The pressure was suffocating.

He entered his classroom, greeted by the expectant faces of his students. They were eager to know the outcome of the meeting, and John forced a reassuring smile.

"It's going to be okay," he said, trying to sound confident. "We just need to work harder and believe in ourselves."

But as he began the lesson, John's mind wandered. He thought about the Headmaster's warning, the mocking gaze of Liam Reed, and the skeptical looks from the other teachers. The fear of losing his qualifications loomed large, and John's determination grew.

He pushed his students harder, drilling them in techniques and strategies, but his own doubts lingered. Could he truly help them succeed? Or would they continue to falter, trapped in the cycle of failure?

The lesson ended, and the students filed out, leaving John alone with his thoughts. He stared out the window, the sky a deep shade of blue, symbolizing the vast possibilities ahead. But for John, the horizon seemed shrouded in darkness, uncertainty, and fear.

John's journey to becoming a teacher at the prestigious Starlight Institute was far from conventional. As an orphan, he had always dreamed of mastering the ancient art of martial warfare. However, despite his unwavering dedication and tireless efforts, John discovered that he lacked the innate talent required to excel in the field. Stuck at mid-level 1-star martial warrior, he reluctantly accepted his limitations.

Seeking a new path, John turned to teaching, hoping to impart his knowledge and passion to the next generation. He enrolled in the institute's teacher training program and barely passed the rigorous examination. As a result, he was assigned to the weakest class in the institute – a group of students who had only just scraped through the entrance exam.

Despite his own shortcomings, John's kind heart and genuine enthusiasm won over his students. They adored him for his unwavering dedication, his patience, and his refusal to give up on them. John poured his heart and soul into teaching, always striving to do his best and inspire his students to work harder.

However, the institute's strict rules cast a looming shadow over John's career. According to the rules, any class that performed below average in the Teacher Assessment Program five times consecutively would result in the teacher's qualifications being revoked. John's class had already struggled in the last four assessments, and with the next evaluation looming, he faced an existential threat. One more failure would strip him of his teaching credentials, ending his career before it had barely begun.

The weight of this reality hung heavy on John's shoulders, fueling his determination to prove himself and his students. Could he find a way to turn their fortunes around, or would the institute's unforgiving standards ultimately seal their fate?
