The security closed the gates as Jameel drove out of the warehouse, Luiz, who was still running for his daughter's life couldn't get past the security.
"Where to boss?" Jameel asked.
"Hassenfeld"
"You're really thinking of the child's organs?"
"What kind of monster do you think me be?"
"Forgive me. It seems I have passed my boundaries"
After a short while of silence, Dominic spoke up.
"He used the money for his child, that's pardonable. I had even more mercy when I saw she's a cancer patient"
"I understand" Jameel said.
"No child deserves such pain, but I must show no weakness"
"Kindness isn't weakness boss"
"I must show no kindness either, lest they take it for weakness. I'd rather be kind from the shadows"
"So, what of the child?"
"I'll take her home, make sure she gets the best treatment, Luiz on the other hand will think me a monster and work harder to pay my money"
"Killing two birds with a stone, I see" Jameel said.
"About Rosa and Jimmy's education,
I've got the information"
"See to it that everything is sorted out. Inform the school that The Castle will be sponsoring their education henceforth, and they should tell the kids they won a scholarship of some sort"
"Consider it done boss"
They got to Hassenfeld and Jameel parked the car.
"Be fast and discreet about it" Dominic said.
"Trust me"
As Dominic was waiting for Jameel, his phone rang, it was Isabelle.
"Well, hello there" he answered.
"Hey Mr. Batman"
"Hey lady with the pretty acrylics" he said and they laughed, that joke never got old.
"How are you doing Isabelle?"
"I'm great, I just had my bath, about to get dressed and wait for batman to come save the day"
"I see. You just give me a couple minutes, Batman will fly across the city to get to you"
"You dummy, Batman doesn't fly. Superman does"
"Well, what does Batman do?"
"He drives, I guess"
"Ah, excellent. Exactly why I am your Batman tonight" he said, and they laughed once more.
He noticed Jameel coming with the child,
"Alright princess, I got to go"
"Bye"
He hung up and Jameel opened the door and placed the sleeping little girl in the back seat, and they drove home.
"Jesus Christ, for heaven's sake Dominic, what's going on?" Benjamin asked as Dominic carried the child into the house.
"Business duties" he said.
"Oh, I see" Benjamin understood immediately. As a matter of fact, he taught Dominic about this tactic while grooming him. Benjamin carried the child to his medical quarters and Dominic dashed upstairs to have his bath. He got dressed as fast as he could and hurried down the stairs.
"Jameel, help me get rid of the damn cloth. Isabelle's coming over"
"Okay boss"
Dominic got into the car and paused for a moment.
"No, this is the regular car. Tonight, I'm Batman" he said and got off from the Rolls Royce. He went to the garage and drove out a Maybach.
He got to her place and rang the bell.
Jimmy opened the door and hugged him.
"Dominic!" He exclaimed.
"Hey little champ" Dominic said as he carried him and ruffled his hair.
"Have you come to have dinner with us tonight?"
"I'm sorry but I'm afraid not"
His face was saddened at this news.
"Hey now, don't be sad. Dominic is always here for you but perhaps some other time" Isabelle said as she climbed down
the stairs.
Dominic looked at her, amazed, he gently dropped Jimmy and made his way to Isabelle.
"Hello beautiful" he said as he carried her and spun her in the air.
"Hello Batman" she said and hugged him.
"Wow, both of you look gorgeous" Rosa said as she watched from the stairs.
"Thank you Rosa" Dominic said.
He and Isabelle walked out of the house, he held the door for her as she got in, folding her flowing gown into the car as well and off they drove.
"So, what did you stay back to do?" She asked.
"Uhm, just some members of the board I had to speak to"
"And you didn't want me around?"
"What? No. Why'd you say that?"
"Each meeting you have with the board, I'm always present"
"No, you were already packing, and I didn't want to hold you back. Besides, you needed to get all this prepared for me" he said as he eyes her in her sexy gown.
She blushed at his comment. She had worn a silver gown with a V neck that extended down to her bosom, exposing a little cleavage. Her gown, flowing long as always. She looked elegant.
"Well well well, if it's not the gloomy castle once again"
"Well with you in it, it's not all that gloomy." He said and got down to open the door for her.
"Thank you" she said as she got down.
They walked into the house, and met rose petals scattered on the floor. Dominic did not have that planned, so he was surprised as well but did not show it.
She remembered this kind of setting was the one Ryan used to drug her, but she shrugged the feeling off.
"This is beautiful Dominic" she said
"Uh, yes, it is. Uhm, I'm glad you like it" he stuttered in his words as he wasn't the one behind the idea.
The rose petals formed two lines, leading them to his dining room.
She looked at the ceiling and saw a chandelier, like the ones from the Senator's mansion. On the table were candles, wine and glasses for them. Their meals had been served and it was covered, waiting for them.
He tucked her seat in and took his seat.
"Dominic, this was very thoughtful of you"
He chuckled nervously as he had no idea how any of this happened.
"This smells delicious" she said as the scent of the food filled her nostrils
"Shout out to Benjamin. He makes the best meals" he said as he had a spoonful.
"So, tell me Dominic. Did you get the inspiration for the company's name from your name?"
"Exactly from my name"
"You know, in the orphanage, they'd always read these Prince Charming and the princess stories to us and we got to a story about the beauty to the best. How Belle left home to save her father and she fell in love with the beast, and lived in his castle. You know the story?"
"Yeah I do. The beauty and the beast" Isabelle said
"My last name's Castello, so I named the company 'The Castle'" he added.
"I like your castle"
"Thank you"
They finished their meals and Dominic led her up the stairs.
She got to the top of the stairs and recognized her way around.
"This is the room where Benjamin took care of me" she said and walked towards the door.
"Isabelle, there's something I must show you" he said immediately, as she was headed for the medical quarters where the abducted child was kept.
"Just a moment" she said and walked faster, Dominic went after and held her waist just as she was about to open the door.
"This can wait for now" he said, and she nodded.
"Okay."
"Papa?" A voice cried from inside the
room.
