Soon, I found myself being drawn into an intense, yet comforting light. It felt distant, almost unreachable, yet I was pulled toward it, as if it were the only guide in a vast sea of darkness. As I moved closer, a burst of blinding flashes overwhelmed my vision. When I opened my eyes, I stood before an imposing being.
This being wore a white robe, lined with radiant gold. His presence was so powerful that it seemed to wrap me completely in light. Then, he spoke. His voice resonated within my mind, filled with wisdom and mystery, revealing truths I had never imagined.
"The power you possess was not something you simply acquired," he said. "It was a gift, passed down by great figures throughout human history—like Samson, David, Caleb, and others who once wielded such strength."
However, he explained that this power had been altered by its previous bearers over the centuries.
"This power is not meant for just anyone," the voice continued.
"It is given only to those with pure hearts, courage, and a willingness to lay down their lives for others. Yet, in your case, we have made an exception. Your body is the only one capable of withstanding even 20% of this divine power. While you do not meet every requirement, the situation on Earth—and not just on Earth, but throughout the galaxy and across dimensions—is critical. That is why God has chosen you."
As I struggled to process his words, the being continued.
"The one you met and spoke with is a cherub—a member of the second-highest order of angels. His power is immeasurable. He can travel at more than twice the speed of light and traverse universes, realities, and dimensions without limit."
His words left me breathless. What did all of this mean? How could I be chosen for something so grand—and so terrifying? My mind reeled, but deep inside, I also felt a stirring of responsibility and determination. This power, as incredible as it was, came with a heavy price. And it was clear—my life would never be the same.
The divine being continued, his voice ringing with an indescribable clarity inside my mind.
"The people who stand by your side at the temple," he said,
"will be vital on the day that approaches. I have granted a portion of this power to each of them so that they may help you in the battles to come. But there is more yet to be done. Mythological beings will soon awaken—powerful creatures who have slumbered for centuries, waiting for the right moment. You must be the one to face and ultimately defeat them."
His words echoed relentlessly in my mind, a lingering resonance I could not escape.
"These beings will take human form, but do not be deceived. Their power will be overwhelming. You will face them in battles beyond anything you can imagine. Prepare your companions, for they will depend on you to survive what lies ahead."
Before departing, the being left me with one final warning.
"This is your destiny. It is the PROPHECY. There is no turning back. Remember—preparation is key. Never underestimate the enemies that are coming."
Before I could ask another question, the figure shone brilliantly in the distance, and the light surrounding him faded, leaving behind an overwhelming silence. I was still processing everything I had heard when, suddenly, everything around me began to fade. A soft, almost warm light filled my closed eyelids, and when I opened my eyes, Kaori was lying beside me, her face peaceful and serene.
I watched her sleep for a moment, the emotions of that vivid, terrifying dream still fresh in my heart. Quietly, I moved closer and gently embraced her. I wasn't sure if I should tell her about the strange, ominous message I had received. Something inside me told me not to—not yet.
I knew that what awaited me was far greater than anything I had ever imagined, and that my destiny was already sealed. But for now, as I watched her sleep, I felt at peace. I was ready to face whatever would come—for her, for my friends, and for everything I had sworn to protect.
