"Old man! I'm back!" A dragon's roar reverberated through the entire Dragon Valley, stirring up a frenzy.
"Oh no... Bradley is back!" A green dragon suddenly woke from his nap in a panic, rushing to escape but clumsily bumped into a stone wall, "Thud..." After hitting the ground with a heavy thud, he saw a flock of birds flying around his head and drifted back into dreamland.
"Huh? Didn't he say he wouldn't return unless he found a mate? How come he's back after just a few decades? Did he find a mate already? Please don't bring back any bizarre creatures again!" Thinking about the odd descendants of dragons, a silver giant dragon shuddered in fear, trying to shake off the memory.
"Hey... Bradley's back! Let's go see what kind of mate he brought back! I hope it's a toad! That way he can stop mocking me all day!" A red dragon pulled a sleeping giant tortoise beside him and flew out.
...
"Haha, the brat is back?" An ice-blue dragon lifted his head from a pile of glittering gems, listened carefully, then slowly stood up and walked outside.
"Bradley, is this your mate?" Looking skeptically at the tiny human gently held in Bradley's claws, Bivis couldn't believe his eyes.
"Yes! What do you think? Isn't she beautiful? I snatched her from a prince!" Bradley proudly raised his head.
"Well, are you sure about this human?" Bivis scratched his head, utterly puzzled by Bradley's choice. Such a fragile human seemed like they could break with a touch—how could they survive among dragons? His own wife was much better—sturdy, obedient, and very reliable. He cast a satisfied glance at the sleeping tortoise and smiled warmly.
"Of course! She's much better than your tortoise!" Bradley glanced at the ever-sleeping Eveleen beside Bivis and rolled his eyes in exasperation. His own wife was so lively and spirited!
"Haven't you considered the gap between you two?" Bivis' gaze shifted between Bradley and the tiny human, "Do you think she can live in Dragon Valley for a hundred years?" he asked a practical question.
"Uh..." Having never thought about that, Bradley decided to ignore it, "I can turn into a human! It's easy for me!"
In an instant, a blue-haired handsome man holding a beauty appeared before Bivis.
Bending down to look at the small human, Bivis reluctantly transformed into a red-haired teenager.
"If you think you're right, then go ahead! But don't blame me if things go wrong later!" Bivis warned worriedly.
"Don't worry! Everything will be fine! Didn't dragons and princesses have stories before? If they made it work, we can too!" Looking at the beauty in his arms, Bradley happily said. Finally, his mission was complete! Life outside Dragon Valley was nowhere near as good as here!
"Kid! You're back?" An ice-blue dragon landed on the open ground in front of Bradley. Struggling to lower his massive head to look at the human smaller than his own head, the ice-blue dragon grumbled, "What are you doing? Why did you turn into a human? It's hard enough to see humans like this!"
"Just turn into a human yourself!" Bradley looked up at the enormous old dragon.
"What's going on here?" A super-handsome man with long blue hair appeared before the trio and the tortoise, "Huh? Is that girl your mate?"
"Yes! Pretty, right? Isn't she prettier than Mom was back then?" Bradley leaned closer to whisper to the long-haired man, afraid someone else might hear.
"Yeah, pretty good! Huh? What's this?"
"Pervert dragon! What are you doing?" Bradley slapped away the long-haired man's hand reaching for Sophie's chest, furious. "You being perverted is one thing, but now you're even after my future daughter-in-law! How could you face my late mother?"
"Brat, watch your mouth!" The long-haired man smacked Bradley's head hard, growling.
"You hit me when you're wrong!" Bradley protested, but to no avail.
After a series of intimidating gestures, Bradley's anger dissipated. Under the older dragon's authority, there was no room for argument. Even Bivis, who was stunned, timidly shrank back, knowing the long-haired man was the leader of Dragon Valley.
Quickly pulling out the phoenix pouch hanging around Sophie's neck, the long-haired man examined it closely, finding it oddly familiar. Where had he seen it before?
"Old man, what's this?" Seeing the long-haired man scrutinizing the small pouch his wife wore, Bradley asked, wondering if it held some significance.
"It's an Infinite Bag..." Suddenly recognizing the name, the long-haired man remembered where he had seen the pouch.
"Quick! Wake the girl up!" The long-haired man's expression changed, urging them urgently.
"Oh..." Though confused by the urgency, Bradley obediently released Sophie from her spell.
"Mmm..." Groaning softly, Sophie slowly regained consciousness. Her sleep had been uncomfortable. She needed to ask Sire to add more blankets!
"Aahh!" Seeing a super-handsome face appear right in front of her, Sophie screamed, trying to retreat but found herself immobilized.
Turning her head, she recognized the blue-haired man and recalled everything.
"You rotten egg! Let me go!" Resuming her struggle, Sophie began kicking and thrashing. Being on solid ground made it easier!
"Miss, could you please hold on for a moment?" The long-haired man politely interrupted Sophie's actions, "Let me finish asking my questions first, then you can continue."
"Huh..." Looking at the blue-haired man, Sophie frowned, "What is it?"
"How did you get this pouch? Did someone give it to you or did you find it?" The long-haired man asked courteously. The other two conscious beings felt a chill, while the tortoise continued to snore loudly.
"My mother gave it to me! Just a keepsake, nothing special," Sophie quickly hid the phoenix pouch inside her clothes. If they tried to take it, she would have to call on Belinda, but could Belinda beat Bradley? In the end, she might have to abandon the pouch. After all, life was more important. But the pouch contained all her belongings, and her eyes started to well up with tears.
"Your mother gave it to you?" The long-haired man's eyes lit up, "Yes, she does resemble her! Indeed, she looks just like her!" Impressed by the offspring of his brother and the Phoenix Lady, he noted the lack of dragon aura. Maybe she took after her mother?
"Yes..." Brave Sophie suddenly felt nervous. What did he want?
"Is your mother named Aina?" The long-haired man stared intently at Sophie, trembling slightly.
"Well... I actually don't know my mother's name. I was raised by several elders," Sophie whispered. Although she suspected Kailanna's mother might be the Aina mentioned, she remained cautious. Better not to rashly claim kinship and risk trouble. She knew nothing about Kailanna's origins.
"Yes, that makes sense. You were probably still in an egg back then!" The long-haired man gently stroked Sophie's head, murmuring. "What's your name?"
"Sophie." What did he want? If he intended harm, should she scream for help? Who would save her? Could she rely on the perverted dragon beside her? Sneaking a glance at Bradley, she quickly dismissed the idea. She didn't want to trade one danger for another.
Seeing the erratic behavior of the old dragon, Bradley felt a mix of emotions. Was the old man also attracted to his hard-won wife? Would he need to prepare to steal her back? But could he defeat the old man? Comparing their strengths, Bradley felt defeated. Even ten of himself couldn't match the old man. He decided to grab Sophie and run.
"Huh? What's happening? Is the clan leader springing into action to steal a wife? This will be quite a show! Father and son fighting over a woman—a human no less! It'll be legendary!" Bivis nudged the sleeping Eveleen, eager to share the excitement. Unfortunately, Eveleen merely shifted and continued her slumber.
"Sophie, I'm your Uncle Hall! Your real uncle!"
"Thud..." Three people fell to the ground in shock at Hall's words.
Sophie got up, thinking he had ulterior motives, only to hear his revelation.
Bradley remained silent for a long time.
Bivis awkwardly laughed and quickly stood up, expecting a dramatic fight but instead witnessing an unexpected outcome.
"Sophie, let me take you to see where your father used to live!" Hall pulled Sophie towards the forbidden area of the dragon clan.
Later, "Bradley, didn't you say no one is allowed in the forbidden area? Why did the clan leader take Sophie in?" Bivis scratched his head in confusion.
"Old man! I hate you!" Jumping up from the ground, Bradley shouted towards the direction Hall had disappeared. His hard-earned wife had become his sister or cousin due to the old man's words. Where would he find such a beautiful wife again?
"Oh no... Bradley's back!" Another green dragon woke up in a panic, rushed to escape, and once again bumped into the stone wall, "Thud..." Falling heavily to the ground, he resumed his dream with a flock of birds circling his head, leaving two deep pits in the wall.
