I pulled my hair in frustration because I still couldn't sleep. I got up from bed and left the room. He's irritating, I thought he was nice. Hmp.
I felt nervous as I looked around with the lights off along my path. "Lord, is this the end for me? I hope there are no ghosts," I whispered as I walked towards the light switch.
I felt embarrassed when the light turned on, but I realized I shouldn't have left the room because it was still scary even with the lights on. The only thing I could hear was the pounding of my heart; it was so quiet around.
"Lord, nothing's here, right? No gho-" I stopped praying when I saw the tall figure in the living room. "GHOST!!! LORD!!! MAMA!!! DAD!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and quickly ran back into my room.
I hastily pulled the blanket over me and covered my mouth. There's a ghost in this house, and that crazy person didn't tell me. He should be the one scared of the ghost I saw, not me.
I closed my eyes tightly upon hearing the door open. "Did I lock the door? Damn, I didn't!" I bit my finger and closed my eyes tightly. Should I pretend to be asleep in case it leaves, but it might not leave either.
I felt someone tug at my blanket, but I quickly noticed it was gone, and I heard the door close again. Maybe the ghost is gone now.
I removed the blanket covering my face to see if it was gone or still there, I hoped it was gone.
"I can't see anything. Am I blind?" I said to myself, seeing only darkness and almost jumping in surprise when it suddenly became bright, squinting my eyes at what I saw.
"There's no ghost in my house, and the shadow you saw in the living room is my shadow because I'm in the kitchen, disturbing the sleeping household members. If you don't want to sleep, then go to sleep." It said, glaring at me.
"Tomorrow, you don't have school. I'll just say that you can't live here for free. Every Saturday and Sunday, you will also be a servant here," it continued before leaving my room. I stood up and watched it leave.
"Irritating, tsk," I muttered.
The next day, I woke up early despite feeling sleepy. I immediately left after doing my morning rituals.
"Good morning, Mam Shay," they greeted me, but I frowned in response.
"Is there a problem?" Manang asked, eyeing me curiously.
"Manang, can you have Fatty do some chores around the house?" A cold voice interrupted our conversation.
"Why, dear?" Manang looked at me with concern.
"Your wife, you should make her work-" Manang was cut off by a loud shout.
"She is not my fvcking wife," a cold shout echoed throughout the house, surprising me as well.
I looked down as it turned its gaze to me, then heard it leave. It had no respect for the elderly, even shouting at Manang, so I couldn't like it even more.
"IHA, I'll take care of that laundry." I looked at Manang and wiped my sweat with my arm.
"No need, Manang, I can handle it," I smiled and continued folding the clothes, annoyed at my annoying husband.
After I finished, it was already dinner time, and I changed my clothes before leaving the room again. When I arrived there, the food was ready in the kitchen, so I sat down in a chair there.
I was really hungry, I had been doing laundry all day. I got a plate and scooped some rice, but as I was about to get the viand, I saw Shuan's angry look at me.
"Did I say you could eat with me?" I was forced to bow my head.
"Uh, Sir-" Manang was about to speak, but was interrupted.
"I told you, Manang, that you should make her work and treat her as a maid too. That means she eats with you," it turned back to me.
"Tsk, how unappetizing," it said with a frown before standing up.
"I'm full, I won't eat anymore." I stood up and left the dining table, leaving them there.
I couldn't help but shed a tear as I walked back to my room; its attitude was really terrible. Doesn't it know that I've been doing laundry all day and if it's not tiring for me, it's not tiring for it? It's terrible.
I closed the door and lay down on the bed, closed my eyes, and felt a small tear escape. I held my stomach when it growled.
When I felt hungry, I got up. I want to eat, my stomach is empty. I looked around to see if anyone was still awake.
I just need to go to the kitchen without anyone seeing me. Hmp. And it looks like everyone is asleep, so I crossed the path there. When I arrived, I immediately opened the fridge.
I saw fried chicken there and immediately bit into it. I was also looking for other viands.
"What are you doing here?"
I stopped and didn't know if I should look back or not because I knew who it was. I quickly hid the chicken on the side.
"I'm getting water," I boldly replied.
I looked down, walked, and passed by it. I still had the chicken in my hand, and I hope it wouldn't see it.
"You haven't eaten yet, I'll cook for you," I turned to it in surprise at what I heard.
"If you want," it avoided looking at me, and I just smiled.
"Okay, I want fried chicken, then just eggs and rice, but I think there's still some left," I said and nodded.
I watched it cook with its back turned to me. It actually has a good body, tall and when it turned to face me and placed the food it cooked. It's good-looking, thick eyebrows, ma-
"You're just hungry," I snapped out of it when it said that.
I quickly devoured the food, not paying attention to it watching me eat.
"It's delicious," I held my stomach, and now I'm really full.
"Wash the dishes you ate from," I groaned at what it said and left the kitchen.
"M-Me, hey, you said you'd cook for me, and me, you're going to wash the dishes, you're very ungentlemanly, Mr. Villamor," I shouted at it, and I heard it laugh again.
It's annoying, I slammed the plates and glasses down.
"Those might multiply, Mrs. Villamor," I turned to it and glared.
"You're irritating, tsk," I said and hit it, but I stopped when I saw it laughing and even holding its stomach.
"Ugghh, you're irritating," I left it there and laughed too. It's cute when it laughs, I just shook my head.
