Chapter 141 - Chapter 139: The Awakening

---

The air in the chamber grew colder as they approached the pedestal. The strange object resting upon it pulsed with a dark, almost hypnotic energy. Chirag's heart raced, the flame inside him flickering, as if responding to the powerful force before him. It was as if the object knew they were there, and it was calling to them.

Chirag hesitated for a moment, his hand reaching out but then pulling back. He could feel the power emanating from the object, and every instinct told him that touching it would not be without consequence. But they had come so far. They couldn't turn back now.

"I don't like this," Kael said, his voice tense as he kept a wary eye on the object. "There's something wrong about this place. This... thing."

Siya, always calm under pressure, stepped closer to Chirag. "We don't have a choice. We need to know what this is. It could hold the answers we're looking for."

Chirag nodded, feeling the weight of their decision pressing down on him. He had always known that the path they walked would lead them to this moment. They had fought so many battles, lost so much, and now, the key to stopping everything lay before them.

With a deep breath, he reached out again, his fingers brushing the surface of the object.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, a sharp, blinding light erupted from the object, filling the room with an intense energy. Chirag staggered back, his hand instinctively reaching for the sword at his side. The chamber seemed to shake, as if the very foundation of the city was being ripped apart.

"Chirag!" Siya called, her voice filled with alarm.

But it was too late. The light from the object seemed to envelope them, pulling them into its depths. Chirag's body went numb, and his mind was flooded with visions—images of gods, of battles, of a time before time itself. He saw the world in its raw, primal form, a place of constant conflict, where power ruled above all else.

Then, a voice echoed in his mind, deep and ancient.

"You have awakened me."

Chirag's heart pounded as the voice filled his thoughts. It was not a voice he recognized, but it felt like something that had been buried for eons. Something powerful.

"Who are you?" Chirag demanded, his mind reeling from the overwhelming flood of images and sounds.

The voice seemed to laugh, a low, rumbling sound that shook him to his core.

"I am the one who was forgotten. The one who once stood above even the gods. I am the true force behind this world's creation, and the one who will bring it to its end."

Chirag's breath caught in his throat. The words felt like a curse. He had expected answers, but this was more than he had bargained for. The power of the voice—the presence that seemed to fill the very air—was unlike anything he had ever felt.

"What do you want from me?" Chirag asked, his voice tight with both fear and determination.

"I want nothing," the voice replied, its tone cold and distant. "I simply wish to be free. You, the one who awakened me, have the power to set me free. But you will not like the price."

Chirag's thoughts swirled in confusion. He had no idea what this force was, but he could sense its power. It was older than the gods themselves. But what was the cost of freeing it? He had already sacrificed so much. Was he willing to risk even more?

Before he could respond, the object on the pedestal exploded in a burst of dark energy. The force knocked him back, sending him crashing into the cold stone wall. Pain shot through his body, but he could barely focus on it as the world around him spun. The air was thick with the presence of the entity—whatever it was—that had just been unleashed.

Siya and Kael rushed to his side, their faces filled with concern.

"Are you alright?" Kael asked, helping him to his feet.

"I'm fine," Chirag said, his voice strained. He looked at the pedestal, which was now empty. The object that had been there was gone, but the presence of the dark force remained.

"We need to leave," Siya said urgently. "Whatever this is, it's not something we can control. It's beyond anything we've faced."

Chirag nodded. "But we can't leave yet. We need to understand what we've awakened."

Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to tremble. The chamber walls cracked, and a deep, rumbling sound filled the air, as if the very foundation of the world was shaking. The dark presence grew stronger, more intense.

The voice spoke again, its tone now filled with malice.

"You have done what was necessary. Now, the world will fall, and I will rise. There is no stopping it. You are too late."

The ground beneath their feet split open, revealing a swirling vortex of darkness. The very air seemed to warp, twisting and bending as the entity began to break free from its prison.

"We need to stop this," Chirag said, his voice filled with urgency. "We can't let it escape."

Kael drew his sword, ready to fight. "Then let's finish this once and for all."

Siya's eyes narrowed. "This is beyond just us. We need to warn the others. We need to stop the entity from escaping this place."

The three of them turned toward the swirling vortex, knowing that the battle ahead would not be easy. The presence of the entity was overwhelming, and it felt like they were fighting against the very fabric of the world itself. But they couldn't afford to fail. Not now. Not when everything was at stake.

With resolve in their hearts, they moved forward, determined to face whatever lay ahead. The world was on the brink of destruction, and they would stop at nothing to protect it.
