Chapter 60 - Marriage

Jasmine waited nervously, her fingers drumming on the armrest of the couch. After a few minutes, there was a knock on the door, and she quickly stood up to answer it. When she opened the door, she saw Keshav standing outside, followed by his parents.

"Hi," she said, her voice a little shaky. "Please come in." She stepped aside to let them in, nodding briefly at Keshav in greeting. She then led them to the living room, where her parents were already waiting for them.

Jasmine's mom and dad jumped up from their seat, their faces already confused at Keshav's presence.

"Keshav, what are you doing here?" Jasmine's father asked, a hint of suspicion in his voice.

Keshav took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Jasmine's. She nodded at him, urging him to proceed.

"I have something important to discuss," Keshav said, his voice steady. "I am here to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."

Jasmine's parents were taken aback, visibly shocked at the unexpected news. Jasmine could see the mixture of emotions on their faces - confusion, surprise,

Her father recovered first, clearing his throat. "So you finally asked. You 2 have been together for nearly 3 years."

Keshav said, trying to keep his expression neutral. "Yes, sir. I've known for awhile just how special Jasmine is. And I know our parents were hesitant about our relationship in the beginning, but I hope you'll give me the chance to prove how much I love her and that I can take care of her. "

Jasmine's parents exchanged a look, their expressions unreadable. Finally, her mother spoke up. "Keshav, we've always liked you as a person, but...we never expected things to go this far. Jasmine is still so young, and marriage is a big commitment."

Jasmine said "But we want to marry."

Her parents turned to her, clearly taken aback by her sudden declaration. Her father looked at her, his eyes softening slightly.

"Jasmine, sweetheart, we know you care about Keshav," he said gently. "But marriage is a serious commitment. Are you sure you're ready for that?

Jasmine felt tears welling up in her eyes but she pushed them back, her resolve steeling. "I've never been so sure about anything in my life," she said firmly. "I love him, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him."

Her mother sighed, her expression a mix of concern and resignation. "We just want to make sure you're sure about this," she said softly. "Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and we want you to be happy with your decision."

Jasmine nodded, her voice firm. "I am sure," she said. "I love Keshav, and I know he loves me too. We want to be together, and we want to build a life together. I'm not afraid of the commitment of marriage."

Then both of their parents agreed

Jasmine felt a huge weight lifted from her shoulders as her parents relented, giving their blessing for the engagement. Keshav reached out and took her hand in his, their fingers intertwing.

"Thank you," Keshav said, his voice sincere. "I promise to take care of your daughter, and to always make her happy."

Jasmine's father gave a slight nod, his expression softening a bit more. "We trust you." he said, his voice steady. "But remember, if you hurt her in any way, you'll have to answer to us."

Keshav nodded, his eyes serious. "I understand, sir. I have no intention of ever hurting Jasmine. I love her too much for that."

Jasmine smiled, feeling a rush of love for Keshav. "Thank you," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "Thank you for trusting us, for believing in us."

Then all of them had dinner together.

The dinner was a surprisingly pleasant affair, filled with light conversation and laughter. Despite the initial tension, their parents warmed up to each other throughout the meal, finding common ground in their shared concern for their children's happiness.

Keshav sat close to Jasmine, his hand resting gently on her shoulder. He could feel her tension dissipating as the night went on, replaced with a sense of peace and contentment.

As keshav and his parents left, Jasmine felt a wave of emotions wash over her. She was relieved that their parents had given their blessing, but also nervous about the reality of planning a wedding. She knew it would be a whirlwind of decisions and details, but she was ready for it, as long as she had Keshav by her side.

Next day

Jasmine was waiting outside her house when keshav arrived, her face lighting up at the sight of him. "Hey," she said, as he got out of his car and walked up to her. "Ready to start planning our wedding?"

Keshav smiled at her, taking in her gorgeous features. "Of course," he said, reaching out to take her hand in his. "We are one of the richest people in the world so of course I will make our wedding best."

Jasmine grinned, loving hearing him say "our wedding". "Let's get started then," she said, eagerly jumping into the car. "Where do we start...the venue?"

Keshav said "I had already completely booked best hotel in our city that is Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai for all our wedding ceremonies. Till that no other guest are allowed in it."

Jasmine was shocked, her eyes widening at his words. "Taj Mahal Palace? But that's the most expensive and exclusive hotel in the city. You already booked the entire place for our wedding?"

Keshav said "Yes from today to end of our wedding."

She couldn't believe it. The Taj Mahal Palace was the epitome of luxury and grandeur, with its opulent architecture and unparalleled service. The thought of having the entire place to themselves for their wedding was almost unimaginable.

"That's so extra," she said, shaking her head in amazement. "But also so romantic."

Then in next month they held their wedding ceremonies like pre-wedding ceremonies like engagement (Roka or Lagna Patrika), Mehendi, Sangeet, and Haldi, as well as the main wedding rituals which encompass Ganesh Puja, Baraat, Kanya Aagman, Varmala, Kanyadana, Panigrahana, Saptapadi, and Havan in Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai

The entire experience was lavish and opulent beyond imagination. The venue was decorated with the finest flowers and fabrics, with each ceremony more elaborate than the last. The sound of traditional Indian music filled the air, punctuated by laughter and celebration. It was truly a dream wedding.

Jasmine couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the splendor of it all. She had always thought of herself as a simple person, and yet here she was, getting married in the most spectacular way possible. It was a bit surreal, but also incredibly romantic.

As they made their way through the various ceremonies, Jasmine couldn't help but notice the sheer number of high-profile guests in attendance. They were rubbing elbows with government officials, business tycoons, and influential players from all over the world. It was a bit intimidating, but also undeniably exciting.

She glanced at Keshav, who seemed completely unfazed by the grandeur of it all. He was chatting and laughing with people as if they were old friends, his confidence and charisma on full display.

The fact that no one dared to cause trouble at their wedding was a testament to the power and influence that both Jasmine and Keshav possessed. They were not only a couple, but also two of the strongest players in the world, and everyone knew better than to mess with them.

Despite the potential for conflict, the wedding was filled with only positivity and happiness. Even the players who were normally rivals found themselves getting along, drawn together by the joyous atmosphere and the palpable love between the bride andgroom.

As the time for varmala approached, Jasmine couldn't help but feel a flutter of nerves. This was the moment when she would be accepting Keshav as her husband, the most important person in her life from now on. She took a deep breath and stood next to Keshav, her heart racing with anticipation.

Keshav took her hand in his, the touch of his skin against her causing her to shiver. He looked deeply into her eyes, his expression serious and loving. "Are you ready?" he asked, his voice low and sensual.

Jasmine nodded, her heart swelling with emotion. "I'm ready," she said, her voice steady. She looked out at the sea of faces before them - their families, friends, and the other guests who had come to celebrate their union.

The moment was surreal to Jasmine, almost like it was from a dream. She felt tears well up in her eyes as she looked at Keshav, unable to believe that this was really happening. The priest began to recite the traditional Hindu vows, and she listened intently, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Do you, Keshav, take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife? To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part, according to the laws of India?" the priest asked Keshav.

Keshav said "I do." Then he turned to Jasmine and repeated the same vow to her. "And do you, Jasmine, take this man to be your lawful wedded husband? To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part, according to the laws of India?"

"I do," she said, her voice almost a whisper. The tears were now flowing freely down her cheeks, her emotions completely overwhelming her.

The priest continued with the ceremony, finally tying the sacred thread called the mangalsutra around Jasmine's neck, symbolizing her union with Keshav. The moment the thread was placed, she felt a surge of intense love and happiness swell inside her.

The ceremony ended with a shower of flower petals over them, the air filled with the scent of jasmine and the sound of applause and cheers. She and Keshav turned to each other, their eyes locked, their love and commitment now solidified in front of everyone present.

They had done it - they were officially husband and wife. Jasmine felt a deep sense of comfort and belonging coursing through her veins, knowing that Keshav was hers, and she was his.

Later on the day, after every ceremonies were over and people started to leave ,keshav picked up Jasmine up princess style and carry to to their hotel room and locked the door
