Chapter 67 - Chapter 66: Fall of the First Light

---

Skyfire Over the Sanctuary

The Seraph Host's descent was beautiful—and deadly.

Spear-lights tore through the sky, singing divine hymns that turned mortal blood to mist. Wings of flame spread across the horizon.

But Serian did not flinch.

On the highest spire of the Sanctuary, he raised his hand—and the black sun rose.

> "Obey."

From the shadow behind him, creatures older than time uncurled—beasts bound in ancient contracts. Cursed flames. Eyes like hollow stars.

Ash stood at his side.

> "You're no longer hiding your power," she said.

> "No more masks," Serian replied. "They made this war. I'll end it."

The Seraph Commander Descends

The ground split as Uriel, Commander of the Seraph Host, landed—his golden armor cracked with holy power.

> "Serian. Vessel of sins. Submit."

But Serian only tilted his head.

> "I'm no one's vessel anymore."

Uriel charged. Heaven's blade sang.

Serian didn't move.

Because she did.

Ash appeared between them, blades drawn.

> "Try him… and die."

Uriel sneered.

> "A failed fragment of a failed soul."

Ash's aura exploded—dark violet thunder cracked the skies.

> "Then let me show you what failure becomes."

Their clash shook the capital.

Elsewhere: The Hero Clone's Doubt

The Hero clone watched from a fortress afar, shielded from the divine war.

His knights begged him to act.

> "The capital needs you!"

But he stood frozen.

Visions plagued him—of a mirror that didn't reflect, of a face too similar to his own.

Of Ash. Her name always made his heart ache… though he didn't know why.

> "I… don't know what's right anymore."

A whisper came.

From within.

Azel's voice. Cold and ancient.

> "Then become what they fear."

The Hero clone fell to his knees—eyes wide with dawning horror.

> "What… am I?"

---

The Demon Lord's March

Far to the west, the Demon Lord clone stood atop a pile of burning clergy.

Orphans with iron masks stood at her feet, holding black banners.

She stared at the sky where the Seraphs flew.

> "So they finally made their move."

One child knelt beside her.

> "Will we fight the gods, Mother?"

She smiled and kissed his forehead.

> "No, child. We'll eat them."

Final Scene: Serian's Resolve

Serian stood in the storm, Uriel's blade buried in his shoulder, blood hissing like steam.

But his eyes never dimmed.

> "I am Serian."

> "I am no one's pawn."

> "And this world… is mine to break or save."

Ash lifted her blade beside him.

> "Then let's show the stars what happens when shadows rise."
