Chapter 23 - Chapter-23 : THE RISE OF KHANAR

Cold winds howled across the barren peaks of ancient Mongolia. Ichigo stood atop a jagged cliff, staring down at a vast open battlefield nestled between the slopes. The ground below was a frozen plain that stretched for miles, covered in patches of snow and scattered stones. His breath caught—the world around him was no illusion. He had been transported back in time… to the era of Altan, the First Khan.

Below him, two massive armies faced off, each brimming with tension. One side bore crimson banners with the sigil of the rising wolf—Altan's army. On the other side, an unknown enemy stood in silence, clad in black armor, their faces hidden behind masks shaped like beasts.

Ichigo whispered, "So this… is how it all began?"

The clash began with the sound of war horns and metal. Spears flew. Swords clashed. Screams of men filled the air. Ichigo watched in awe and horror as Altan's forces began to fall one by one. They were brave, but outnumbered. The enemy commander—a monstrous warrior wielding a dual-bladed axe—was tearing through soldiers like paper.

Then, from the heart of Altan's formation, stepped a figure cloaked in darkness—tall, draped in thick furs, with glowing red eyes beneath his hood. His name echoed across the battlefield like thunder—Khanar, Altan's feared army chief.

Just then, a solar eclipse began. The sun was swallowed slowly by the moon, casting a red shadow across the land. Time felt like it stopped.

Khanar raised his clawed hand and slashed Altan's palm. Blood dripped onto the snow. He chanted in a forgotten language as he drank the crimson stream. The air turned heavy. The sky went black.

Khanar screamed.

A shockwave burst from his body—and from the frozen ground rose an army of the dead. Thousands of skeletal warriors, clad in rusted armor, awakened from the earth with glowing blue eyes. Their arrival tilted the tide. The enemy screamed in terror, and within minutes, Altan's army surged forward under Khanar's lead.

Heads flew. Limbs broke. The enemy king was beheaded by Altan himself, holding a flame-drenched sword Khanar had forged from his own blood.

And just as suddenly, it ended. The eclipse faded. The undead army crumbled into dust.

But Khanar… changed.

His veins turned black like smoke. His voice grew deeper, like a beast from the underworld. He turned to Altan, kneeling before him.

"Drink my blood," he said, offering a black vial that pulsed like a living thing. "And become undefeated. Become eternal. But beware—no mortal can wield this power without poison to balance it. You must drink the most venomous liquid known to man. And one more thing…"

Khanar's red eyes narrowed.

"To complete the bond with this ancient darkness… you must claim the bloodline of your defeated enemy. Take his kingdom. Take his throne. And… his queen."

Then he make physical relations with the newly married queen forcefully, later she become pregnant and give birth to his son on no moon night .

Suddenly, the vision warped—time sped forward.

Ichigo watched helplessly as centuries passed in moments—until the present.

Under a moonless sky, the current Mongol ruler, Zar Tai, stood beside a massive stone sarcophagus in a hidden cavern.

The tomb of Khanar.

Dark-robed necromancers whispered forgotten incantations. The coffin creaked open, revealing the grotesque corpse of Khanar—unchanged by time, black veins still pulsing faintly under dead skin.

Zar Tai's chief general, a loyal warrior, climbed into the coffin, lying on Khanar's corpse without hesitation.

The necromancers began the ritual.

Black liquid, ancient objects, and blood-soaked scrolls were poured into the coffin. The general's body convulsed violently. His soul burned away.

Silence.

Then the coffin closed.

One necromancer turned to Zar Tai and whispered:

"The seed is placed. The ritual is complete."

Ichigo's eyes flew open.

Sweat drenched his body. His chest heaved.

He was back—in the palace room.

Kyra was holding his hand, worry shadowing her face. Tanjiro stood nearby. "You alright? Looks like a bad dream…"

But Ichigo didn't speak. Not right away.

Because he knew what he saw wasn't a dream.

It was a curse. A prophecy. A warning written in blood.

His voice was hoarse. "They've awoken Khanar… The seed… it's already planted."

A cold shiver ran down his spine.

This war wasn't just about swords or honor anymore.

It was about ancient evil. And the legacy of the first Khan now lived again—in the shadows.
