The Elf: COME AND GET ME YOU BASTARD!
James's eyes went completely blind with rage and strength. His only goal right now, his only motivation was to kill The Elf, no matter what. James was just 2 seconds away from cutting The Elf's head.
Just then, A shock ran down his spine. The feeling was strong enough to pull James away from the Battle Rage state he was in. James looks down to see what the sensation was.
The Elf's right hand pierced through James's Chest. The Elf had covered its hand in Ice claws, sharp enough to pierce James's Chest. James puts his hand down, his Ice arrow Barrage slowly breaks off. But his resolve did not let him from putting down his sword
The Elf: Did you think I had no counter for a Swordsman like you?
James looks at The Elf. His blood spilling from the wound drop by drop, his energy to keep his eyes open fading quickly. The Elf brought James closer by pulling its hand, still pierced through James's chest. It smirked at James's defeated look and threw his body onto the grassy plains.
Maybe due to reflex or luck, James used a small amount of his wind-energy he could use to slow his fall so, landed on the grassy plane a bit softer than he should have. Blood spilt into the dark green grass like water from an open faucet.
The Elf: There's was a slow acting poison on my hands. so, go on, BLEED. Bleed as you think you had the choice to avoid this, you had the choice to surrender peacefully. Instead you chose dying alone, with no family around you.
James puts his hand to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.
James:(struggling to breath) I... need....
The Elf walks towards James, mockingly puts its ears towards James's wounded.
The Elf: What's that? I did not hear you over the sound of DEFEAT!
The Elf kicks James's back, James squirms in Pain.
The Elf: A pathetic Human, challenging an Elf. What a fucking Joke.
The Elf thinks for a moment and pulls out a hexagonal prism container from its back. Within it are magic circles and runes inscribed by gold ink. The container's inside can only be viewed by a glass pane that glows when kept in a specific angle because of the mana that's trapped inside the glass.
The Elf: I guess it's time to end this.
The Elf opens the container, the Runes and magic circles glow and tendrils of light come from the container and wrap themselves around James. He screams in pain as the tendrils try to grab his very soul out of him. But in truth, it was the Demon's soul that The Elf wanted.
The Container's Magic goes through James's Soul Layer and reaches into the Demon's Soul. The Magic begins to destroy the runes placed upon the Demon's Soul by Silvie.
As the runes are about 20% destroyed, something else intervenes in this battle of Souls.
Kronos's Soul suddenly gets stronger, strong enough to once more, to take over James's body like he did before. Something has given its hand out to Kronos.
The Elf: What the hell is going on!?
The mana surrounding James resonates erratically, thrashing and burning like a forest set ablaze. The tentacles of the container's magic unwind themselves from James's body. James's eyes drifted shut.
His skin darkened to a pale grey and black rock began to cover James's Skin everywhere except his face. He opened his eyes, a raging orange. James, now taken over by Kronos, got up. A halo and a cape of fire formed around him. Fire raged and glowed under the rocks that covered his chest. Gauntlets of Glowing Magma and even blacker rocks form around his hands.
Kronos looks at The Elf who's sweating bullets.
The Elf: D... De... Demon General Kronos.
Kronos acknowledges the introduction given.
Kronos: Assassin of the Elves.
Kronos smiled at The Elf, a smile, not made out of Arrogance but out of confidence. Confidence that Kronos would win against The Elf. But something was amiss.
Kronos: (Mind voice) I have a lot of factors playing against me right now. This body is poisoned. Even If I suppress it, the more I move, the more I'll be restricted in my movement.
The Elf readies itself for an Attack
Kronos: (Mind Voice) The Seal placed by this human's sister is still in effect, meaning I need to use my mana sparingly or I'll speed the re-sealing process.
Kronos looks down at the new Form he's taken,
Kronos: (Mind voice) And this new form. Has this form evolved somehow?
Kronos takes up the Sword on the grass floor and readies his stance, one befitting a high ranking Knight.
Kronos: I will fight you with honor, without Magic. Surely you can fight me with that, right?
The Elf gets pissed off,
The Elf: Don't underestimate me, DEMON!
The Elf jumps towards Kronos with his Ice-claws. Kronos blocks it with the Obsidian Sword. The both, now in close proximity to the other, look at each other's faces. Kronos's face has a subtle smile on his face, but The Elf's smile that was present before has transformed into fear and that's was what Kronos wanted.
Kronos wanted to show The Elf, who had been relishing in James's suffering how it feels. How it feels to be Hunted.
The Elf dashes back and dashes in front, towards Kronos again, Kronos, not changing the position he stands on, parries his dash attack, The Elf gets pushed back, falling on his back.
The Elf: The fuck?
The Elf: (Mind voice) Maybe I should focus on my speed rather than head on fights. With that poison too, he won't be able to match my speed.
The Elf readies itself and speed-blitzes behind Kronos. Just as Kronos turns his head back, The Elf blitzes back in front of Kronos and goes in for a blow to the head but the blow is stopped, blocked by the sword.
Kronos turns back,
Kronos: Don't take me so lightly. You're fighting a Master here!
Kronos uses the sword to push back the Elf.
The Elf: (Petrified) A MASTER!?
The Elf ramps up its speed, blitzing behind, at the side, in front of Kronos faster than before. Kronos understands what's going on.
The Elf: (Mind voice) If I ramp up my speed, he won't see where I'm coming from! All I need is to hit him one more time and the second hit of the poison will paralyze him!
Kronos closes his eyes, his right arm that holds the sword now at a resting position. The Elf took this as an opportunity to strike Kronos's back. It blitzed right behind Kronos, Ice claws ready to strike with enough force to pierce through the fiery cape and the rocky exterior.
But just a moment before the claws made contact, the claws broke. and before the Elf knew it, Kronos had moved his right arm to block the attack with the sword. The Elf had its eyes wide open, It did not know how this could be possible.
It blitzes away, regenerating the ice claws once more and pouring the last of its poison from a bottle it kept on its belt onto the claws.
Kronos swings his sword back towards the ground, putting his arm back into rest, his eyes still closed but his face bore a smile.
The Elf tries its tactics again but this time, even faster and more cautious as to not break his poisoned fangs again. Using its Water affinity to propel itself as much as it can, but each and every time it tries to hit Kronos, Kronos brings the sword in just in time to block the attack.
The Elf stopped and began to think for a moment
The Elf: (Mind Voice) He's just standing... in that one spot isn't he? If he's going to stay in one place, then I could just....
The Elf blitzed again, but this time, it was kicking the dirt up as it blitzed around the area. It still tried to hit Kronos, with no avail. But curiously it's blitzing movement was more erratic. It blitzed in a curve rather than a straight line. After an entire minute of this, The Elf blitzes in front of Kronos.
The Elf begins to pour pure mana into its hands. Kronos, who was sensing mana all this time, sensed something was wrong and opened his eyes.
There he saw The Elf, who had pure Mana flowing in its hands placed onto the ground. Suddenly Mana flowed into lines carved onto the ground made from the Elf Blitzing. Kronos looked around shocked but by then, it was too late.
The Mana that flowed through the lines carved spread quickly and revealed a Makeshift Magic Circle made from the Elf's leg.
The Magic circle created Chains that bound Kronos's Limbs and body down to the ground, almost making Kronos Kneel.
Kronos: (Mind Voice) Usually Magic circles are made with Mana Paint... And to utilize Magic circles in battle like this... Ha..
Kronos looks at The Elf, proud of his tactics
Kronos: Smart Elf
The Elf looked back at Kronos, with a slight sense of confidence
The Elf: Strong Demon.
Kronos: What is your name Elf?
The Elf: I am called Ilvar.
Kronos: Ilvar... I will remember your name even after your death.
The Elf laughed sarcastically, and pointed the claws towards itself
Ilvar: My death? I believe your death will come first.
Ilvar walks towards Kronos with his claws ready to strike.
Kronos: Do you know why people use Mana Paint to make Magic Circles?
Ilvar stops walking
Kronos: Because you can do this!
Just as Kronos finished his sentence, The Blue Mana that filled the magic circle began to quickly turn orange from the center where Kronos was. Kronos had leaked his Mana from his feet and into the Magic circle, taking over its power and unbinding himself from the Circle in an instant.
Kronos Took the sword and dashed towards Ilvar to strike him. Ilvar followed suit. Kronos's movement grew weaker from the poison more and more, he knew he had to end this so as he swung for the Ilvar's legs and as he guarded his legs, he pierced the sword into the ground and used that force to kick Ilvar's face, which he did not guard, in an upper angle.
Ilvar could not even comprehend what just happened. Before he could react, his chest was pierced by a branch on one of the Tree's in the grove. Still in shock, blood covered Ilvar's hand as he tried to touch the branch to understand what had just happened.
Ilvar looked at Kronos at a distance who circled his chest and pointed back at him.
Ilvar: (weakly) Sly... demon...
Kronos looked back. Back towards the town, back into the sky, the clear sky filled with beautiful stars...
Kronos: You'll see this place soon...
Kronos talked to himself with no one else around. He then looks at where James had placed the horses and the horses laid there, dead from what seemed like Ice Arrows.
Kronos thought of going far away, somewhere where he could regroup and think of his next actions when suddenly the re-sealing was completed. Kronos screamed, screamed at the top of his lungs and as the form disappeared, the body turned back to normal and James returned. The Hole in his chest now covered with some kind of skin, rock formation.
James fell unconscious and right before he closed his eyes, he saw a woman running towards him. He could not see any discernible features in his weakened state though.
James: (Wearily) Mother...?
