Chapter 22 - Disciple Cultivation System ch22 Sword and bow pt2.

"The snowdance primarily focus is on evasion..."

Stepping back he dodged her slash, her katana burning with azura aura flashing pass his chest and narrowly missing his shirt.

"It will take more than that to hit me."

Not giving Cheshire enough time to process her lose, he brought his sword down on her again and Cheshire now knowing dodging will merley get her cut, placed her katana over her head, blocking the attack.

Clang...

Her kneel bent, ripples of the impact tearing through her body and leaving her arms numb.

Why was he so strong?

Gritting get teeth, she grasped gripping her sword with both hands to pushArt back with all her might.

Art went along stagger back as she tilted her bladez sending a sword thrust aimed at his head.

"To slow.."

Skillfully evading them,he mocked causing Cheshire to enter a ferocious charge. Her strikes increase, growing faster and sharper.

Swing, slash and thrusted she woven them all into her attack trying to put the Art on the defensive.

It didn't matter if his strikes were lethal and more powerful than her's as long as he never got a chance to strike, she was sure she could wear he out. She just had to hold on, make no mistake and victory will be here.

As long as she could wipe that smirk of Art's face that was all that mattered.

"Darn..I do know I have a handsome face but can you stop obsessing over it."

With his footwork growing more rough to complement the ferocious strike aimed at him, he tauted one's more before raising his sword to parry but Cheshire was no fool, she knew if her slash was parried she'll be pushed back due to the sheer difference in strength so redrawing her katana she leaped back and retreated.

"Oh!"

Disappointed Art place his sword over his shoulder his gaze locked onto Cheshire.

"Fleeing from a fight now that's not something a Seven would do."

"..."

She tried not to be responsive, her hold on her katana's hilt growing tighter. Art was just trying to get under her skin she muttered to herself.

She just needed to focus and analysis the battle. She just needed to envision this being real combat where emotions had to be stripped off to maintain one's composure. Letting his words hurt her will also damage her reasons and cause her to lash out only to get defeated, something that meant death in real combat.

"His strikes are heavy but one noted, evasion is his strongest suit."

Judging by the fact he hadn't used any techquie and only footwork, she presumed he was going easy on her not understimating her.

"I can't catch him of guard as a matter of fact he seemed too guarded, especially against a student."

Observing Art wasn't attacking him and just smiling at her, she bite her lips.

"Is it because of my intent or does he know I can use that?"

Her aura having a distinct color denoted she had intent even if she was fully exercising it and more than that she had a techquie something only few students students in the knight course had.

"Should I use it....no." she shook her head. The techquie passed to her was something she was to use in life threatening scenario not a spar.

"Right now I'll just focus on mobility and switch stance."

Taking inspiration from the various sword style from the east, she sheathed her blade and channel her aura into her feets.

The major use for aura was amplification.

Full body coating was an all rounded amplification hence it provide a jack of all traders kind of effect were the amplification effect spread out through the body but for selective amp, all the effects are concentrated in one part hence providing a more boosted effect.

Feeling the warmth of aura wrapped around her feel, she looked up with a clear head.

"Just one strike..even if I lose I needed to leave one scar on his body."

Crouching, her gaze grew serene channeling aura into her hand and blade.

Selective amplification could be spread out through different parts and now she has used to to strengthen her arms, her katana and her feets.

In essence she had abadoned defensive and become a glass cannon. Faster she was, stronger she was, sharper she was but so too was she squishy.

If she so much as took a single blow from Art in this state of her's she been knocked out and she was prepared for that as long as she left a scar.

"I didn't do it because of arrogance!"

Whispering to herself she glance at the sleeping elf lost in her own world.

"Must be nice without having much care in the world."

Admiring how.nonchalantly the elf had to be to sleep during a spar, she smiled to herself and looked gaze with Art, whose smile had died replaced by a stern and guarded look.

"So you are capable of taking me serious." She thought taking a ranner stances with her one hand on the sheath of the katana and the other on the hilt.

She was not a member of the seven nor was she a prodigy but she was by now means inferior. She had intent,a conviction of a warrior.

So her azura aura burnt brilliantly as she took a deep breath and....

Art POV

I was suppose to be mentor character. To guide this new generation of Heroes but have I done that...no.

Ever since I came to this world all I've thought about was a way to get stronger. My system called the [Disciple Cultivation System] didn't cultivate students it only cultivate me. It was a fraud with me as it's master.

What kind of teacher did I want to be if I only wanted to benefit from my students.

They were my lifeline but it was also my duty to make the strong, make them the best and make them legendary and for that I needed to know their conviction, starting with Cheshire.

She was an unfortunately character, always playing second fiddle to Trish and the others. Even when she worked harder she was easily suppressed and soon she faded away, her ambition too shallow to complete with the likes of Valarie and Trish.

She always masked her inferiority complex behind a teasing facade but that will do more harm down good.

She had to accept she wouldn't be better than them, not now nor ever. She had to know her limit, so she wouldn't break like she did so I didn't care if I had to be cruel I had to absolute overpowered her.

So activating Trish techquie I took a step forward, my sword raised with it's edges locked on her.

"Come!"

As I instructed she moved in a soft dash straight towards me.

Like a blur and in a flash, she redrew her blade, it's tip tracing an azure horizontal arc at me but....

"Too weak!"

With a sigh full of disappointment my sword came down, it was far inferior in speed so for a second I saw hope flashed in her eyes but such hope grew into despair as my sword accelerated beyond reason, shattering her attack and homing down into her.
