I could not stop thinking about Lauren since she was here that night. She has ties with Levi and I cannot just trust anyone that is in anyways connected to him. And Janet? What is her aim? I know she does not like me one bit but putting her brother in this kind of situation is low even for her. Is she even really supporting her brother? Because I cannot for the life of me tell the reason why she is working for Levi especially if she hates him as much as she claims and why she brought Lauren here.
Ezekiel has been very amazing in these trying times of mine. He looks for new ways to take my mind of things and he has been very creative. My vagina can testify I find myself smiling as I reminisce on the moments we spent together. At random times, I catch myself smiling whenever I am brushing my teeth and move the brush in and out of my mouth and I remember that some moments before, that was Ezekiel's dick. Or when I am washing myself in the shower and my hand brushes against my nipples and it sends a course of pleasurable pain through me that settles in my core. Or when I'm helping Miss Tammy clean up and she gives me the frying pan to wash and I am washing the handle and it just reminds me of how Ezekiel's dick felt in my hand.
I am smiling currently and my cheeks are hurting because of how much I have been smiling recently.
I go downstairs for breakfast and I am met with Janet and Ezekiel at the table. What is she doing here? Her presence makes me feel uneasy, and it is not because I have a thing going on with her brother. She has always made me feel that way. With her intense eyes that I could not tell if it was pity or judgment I saw in them. After my recent interactions with her, I have now come to realise that it is the latter. She thinks I am stupid for staying with Levi.
"Good morning Ezekiel. Morning Janet."
"Good morning." Ezekiel says. He is looking at me. Janet does not even look in my direction.
"Hey love." Miss Tammy comes out of the kitchen balancing two plates and she drops one with a toast sandwich in front of me.
"Sleep well?" I smile. "I didn't see you around last night." My sleep walking got triggered again by Lauren coming to the house after weeks of sleeping and walking in my bed and I sleep walked for three nights in a row and Miss Tammy found me twice while Ezekiel found me once. Miss Tammy told him to call the doctor and he agreed to but he did not. However, last night, he came to my room and after he made me cum twice, he said I would sleep better and I did.
"I slept well."
I started to eat and did not bother looking at Janet. Halfway through my meal, I got a message from a number I did not save.
"We need to talk."
That is strange, considering the fact that I did not save this number. The next message came like they read my mind.
"It's Lauren." Right, who else would it be? How did she even get my number? That must have been through Janet. I discover a deeper level of Janet's hatred for me with each passing action of hers. I wonder what Lauren wants to talk to me about. I think about telling Ezekiel but maybe I should just hold on and hear her out before I tell him. It might be just Lauren wanting to talk but maybe she does not want to come here because she might not be welcome given her ties to her brother.
"I'll call you in 10 minutes." Says the next message.
I look up from my phone and Ezekiel is looking at me weird.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah. I got messages from my ISP." Ezekiel just nods and goes back to eating. I try to finish my food but the message from Lauren has me feeling queasy so I just stop eating because it feels like the next bite might make me throw up everything I've ate.
I leave the table and go back to my room. I lock it behind me and in exactly ten minutes from when the last message was sent, a call from the unsaved number comes in.
"Hello."
"Hi Sam."
"You said we needed to talk, what about?"
"Sam, I don't know what how to say this but Sam, I think there is something bigger at play than we think." Everything in me wants to end this conversation before it even starts but something tells me to hear her out. I already gave her the go ahead so I might as well listen to what she has to say.
"What is this about Lauren? Why did you say so?"
"See, Samantha, I want you to keep an open mind and just hear me out. Please."
"Go ahead."
"Two days ago, I was at home and Levi came around. He came to see father." She is referring to their father who was not much of a father to her. "Since the last time Levi was here and he was not up to any good, I decided to eavesdrop on their conversation and see if I could garner any useful information and I think I did."
"So what did you get?"
"First of all father was so pissed at Levi. He said how could he let things get this far before asking him to step in? Then Levi said he did not know that things would get this bad. He also said the accident was meant to be for the greater good although it would not have come to that if Ezekiel had not proposed that stupid deal and leveraged his and a man named Connor's investment to get him to agree to the deal."
"Connor?"
"Do you know him?"
"Yes. He was the one Levi hit me for talking to when we went on a lunch meeting with he and his wife."
"Sam, you need to be more specific, Levi has hit you for less. When was this?" True that. I sigh.
"You remember the last time you came to the house? Before everything went to shit."
"Yeah yeah."
"You saw a bruise on my face and asked what happened and I said it was nothing. The day before, Levi and I went on a lunch meeting with this couple. He was looking to secure an investment from the husband and told me not to talk to him but I did, that was why he hit me. The husband is the Connor. Connor Crestwood."
"Oh. I see. What do you think he has to do with this? Can you recollect anything from their conversation that might have sounded weird to you?"
"No I can't. It was a usual business meeting. Talks about the investment, ROI, past investments and they talked about Connor sending someone over to see the books."
"But if Levi mentioned his name, he might have something to do with this and all of this might have started with that deal." The cogs are turning in my head and I can't seem to fit Connor into any of this.
"You know what? I'll keep digging. Can you keep this from Ezekiel in the meantime?" That seems to bring all turning cogs to a halt. Why does she want me to keep it from him? That sounds suspicious.
"At least until I get something concrete."
"But he might be able to help."
"Sam, don't forget he and Levi are at the centre of this drama." She says in a kind of stern voice.
"Lauren, I trust him. At least way more than I trust Levi."
"I know you do. But I don't. I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt because one thing I know for sure is that you are safe with him more than you'll ever be with Levi."
"I don't want to lie to him. And how sure am I that I can trust you? After all you're Levi's sister."
"Don't lie to him. Just don't tell him for now. And you don't have to trust me. However, Levi's sister or not, I'm on your side and totally against Levi's actions. I understand where your apprehension is coming from but don't I deserve the benefit of doubt at least?" I sigh. In retrospect, Lauren has never steered me wrong. She told me about Levi even though I did not believe her.
"I guess you do."
"And I know your bias comes from the fact that y'all are fucking." My saliva caught in my throat.
"W… I… we are not fucking." I manage to say.
"Hmm hmm. You're totally fucking. I saw the way he was staring at you. And you had that after sex glow when I came by that night. Oh my God!! Did you guys have car sex?"
"Lauren!!!" She laughs and I smile too.
"I'm just pulling your legs. I like him for you Sam. You deserve better than Levi. He put you through too much, you deserve love and peace. And if Ezekiel is your better, you should definitely be with him. But let us first cross him off our list."
"Okay."
"I'll keep digging and I'll be in touch. Bye."
"Bye." Lauren hangs up the call on end. Maybe I have always been wrong about her. Maybe Lauren is not working with Levi.
I open my door and go downstairs, as I'm approaching the living room, I can hear arguments. Voices are raised, and I can barely make out what is being said. I hurry my steps and everyone keeps quiet the moment they see me. Janet is breathing heavily and she stands up, grabs her coat and storms out the door. Ezekiel threw his hands up in exasperation.
"She's not wrong, you know." Miss Tammy says and heads outside.
I just stand there not knowing what to do. I don't know if I should approach Ezekiel or maybe now is not a good time.
"I'll just go." I say awkwardly and hurry back up the stairs to my room.
I wonder what that was about.
