Casterly Rock -
Casterly Rock is the ancestral stronghold of House Lannister, towering above the Sunset Sea on the western coast of Westeros. ꀤt is a colossal rock formation carved into a fortress, larger than the Red Keep and said to rival the size of the Wall. The Rock is rich in gold, as it's built atop and within one of the most productive gold mines in Westeros, which helped make the Lannisters one of the richest houses.
The castle is built into the mountain itself, with winding halls, grand chambers, and balconies that overlook the sea. Legend says it contains hidden passages, ancient mines, and even the bones of the legendary lion that once ruled the area before the Casterlys claimed it—only to later be outwitted and replaced by Lann the Clever.
