The Father was in a great mood today. Everything was how it should be. Things were moving in the right direction. Forward. It would only get better from here.
He floated in front of the sun while lost in thought. Kara Dru-Zod had her arms wrapped around his neck, the rest of her body floating behind like a scarf. Her eyes were closed. She could be extremely lazy at times.
Looking at the beauty whose face rested in the crook of his neck, he smiled. Only then did he focus on the task ahead. Reaching out toward the sun, his aura washed over it.
Every component and material makeup was revealed to him. The elements of the periodic table, the radiative zones, the percentage of helium versus hydrogen…all of it. Val's right hand turned golden as he dragged it aside like a claw.
Suddenly, another sun was pulled out from within the first one. Two suns were now side by side. Identical. He'd just casually duplicated the star. Now it was time to remove the unnecessary parts.
Blemishes were wiped clean. Elements were rearranged. Excited atoms were restructured. By the time he was done with his task, a blue sun floated before him. The celestial body compressed more and more until it was small enough to fit in the palm of his hand.
Allowing a slight bit of its radiation to leak out from his bioelectric field, Kara immediately woke up. Her grey eyes that were now almost permanently gold locked onto the orb. The feeling it gave her was incredible.
On the same level as an orgasm except it was constant. She could feel her strength multiplying into unknown territories. Curiosity finally got the best of her. She softly nibbled on Val's ear.
'What did you just do?' A feisty voice transmitted into his mind.
Kara was now able to use telepathy on her own. Val-Ul felt a shiver go down his spine from the small mouth playing with his ear. His focus had been shattered.
'I've created a blue sun. There's some things I need to test out.' He answered.
'It feels way too good.' She replied.
'The solar radiation of this star can supercharge you past the limit. Of course it would feel good.'
'What are you testing out?'
'You'll see when I finish.'
'Ugh…can't you just tell me?' She whined.
The good sensation made her feel as if she'd gotten tipsy from alcohol. Now she was feeling ravenous. Her soft tongue started to wander his skin a bit more. French kisses were placed all across his neck and jawline.
'I like seeing your face upon figuring it out.' He managed to respond.
Another pleasant sensation tingled down his spine. She was getting frisky. Val closed the small leak with his aura. Once the blue orb was fully covered, she slowly started to calm down. Good. He had work to do.
'That…was amazing.' She hummed in his mind before switching back to lazy mode. Her eyes closed again.
With a slight smile, he teleported back to Earth. Their figures appeared above the planet. Val-Ul took his time heading back home. Trails of air were left behind like a jetstream. Going down toward the ocean, he skimmed his fingers across. Flying was too comfortable.
It took a moment before he reached the North Pole. After patting the heads of penguins and polar bears alike, they reached the Fortress of Solitude. Val raised an eyebrow upon landing.
Clark Kent - better known as Superboy Prime - was sitting on one of the crystal lattices. His crimson eyes narrowed on the blue orb. It seems he knew what it was. The kryptonian scarf on Val's neck was completely ignored.
"I was wondering what that sensation was earlier. Turns out you brought a newborn sun home." He said. His way of speaking made him sound like a delinquent.
"Do you like it? I just created it."
"You…created it?"
Prime looked at the orb again with a new lens. He could also create a sun if he felt like it. The difference was that he couldn't choose what color it would be. Creating a blue sun wasn't the same as creating a normal one.
"Yes. It's for research purposes."
The Father casually strolled into the crystal fortress. Prime shamelessly followed. He wasn't one to think about manners. It didn't matter. Val had given him visitor access anyways. Stupid decision? Maybe to a human.
There was one thing Val trusted more than himself. It was the universe. Trusting in Superboy Prime to not betray wasn't worth mentioning. Such an emotional investment was unneeded.
"Mnnn…Clark? What are you doing here?" Kara opened her eyes once again.
Clark smiled like a gangster. A normal person would be scared senseless. Good thing she wasn't normal.
"Hello. Has the sleeping beauty finally woken up?" He mocked. Kara rolled her eyes.
"Nope. I'm never waking up. I'm gonna sleep for a hundred million years." She proclaimed.
"That's a long time. You'll miss everything."
"Hmph. I won't miss anything."
"If you say so." He shrugged.
As the trio moved toward the lab, Kara looked at Prime once again. They locked eyes. After a few moments…she rested her head on Val's shoulder.
"Clark, I already like you much better than Kal-El." She revealed.
"Really? You must be quite weird then. I'm a really bad guy." He frowned. Val-Ul spoke up.
"Kara is from a military family. She's the daughter of General Zod. Battle and warfare is more familiar to her than you think."
The three kryptonians finally reached the lab. The son of Ul placed the sun into a capsule of unknown material before hooking it up to a large machine. Only then did he stop utilizing his bioelectric field.
"You both are too trusting. Val-Ul…I was expecting you to spy on me for at least a few days." Prime said. Val shook his head.
"Why would I do that? It's your family, right? Do you consider them fake? Are you going to break this timeline anyway?"
"What if I did?"
The son of Ul stopped what he was doing and sighed. With his hands behind his back, he walked in front of the man. Their gazes clashed.
"If you destroyed the timeline…if you destroyed this humanity that I spent countless years and effort building to my own design? Think about it. I wouldn't mourn them…but I WOULD be angry."
"You don't care about humanity but you'd still be angry. Just because I ruined your hard work? Haha…now I understand."
"Look at it this way. Your actions would be the ultimate disrespect. That type of disregard…would be dangerous. Even if this timeline was deleted, life would go on. You'd have to watch your back until you die…because I'd be searching for you."
"Do you think I'm scared of you?"
The demon smiled with malice. Val-Ul smiled gently in response. His armored figure towered over Prime. The two generals bared their fangs once more. Just like the previous time, the universe screamed to stop. Space shards appeared in the surroundings like twinkling glass. Reality began to tremble.
"You don't have to be scared of me. I'm not a ruler and I don't care if you follow the rules or not. I sincerely hope we can get along though. I want to invite even more full-blooded kryptonians to this universe. You won't get in my way…right?"
There was a moment of silence as Clark realized the scope of Val's ambition. This guy wants to create his own heaven! His own paradise. One that supported kryptonians.
"I finally understand. Alright. I get it."
Prime stifled a grin while approaching one of the lab chairs. The surroundings grew calm. Snickers constantly escaped his lips. His red eyes were shining dangerously. What a dream…he wanted to see what it looked like.
Val-Ul nodded before returning to his lab work. Time passed as he created several blueprints to utilize the blue sun. He eventually sat down with a sigh. The crown floating above his head rotated a bit faster, soothing his slight weariness.
Kara had long since retired to a different part of the room. No matter which room in the Fortress, there was always a little den that she'd made her own. This way she could follow Val everywhere.
Superboy Prime finally glanced at the glowing crown made of pure energy. It always rotated like a halo. His eyes narrowed. He couldn't help but gulp.
"I want a crown."
Like the demon of greed, his voice washed over the room. Val-Ul continued lounging with his eyes closed. Clark's words were barely acknowledged.
"The crown will be lent to you in due time." The Father revealed.
Both Kara and Clark's eyes widened. The daughter of Zod looked at Val as if he was crazy. Letting this guy use the crown? That's crazy talk.
"...Are you mocking me?" Prime also assumed he didn't mean it.
"I'm serious. You'll be wearing it soon enough."
"Then I'm satisfied." Prime sat back with a cool expression.
"Wait…Val, what are you talking about?" Kara asked.
"We'll be going on a trip so of course the crown will be left with him."
The Messenger's eyes widened. She immediately flew into his lap while shaking his arm. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity.
"A trip? What kind of trip warrants an action like that?"
"The same kind of trip when I last gave you the crown. Let's go explore the multiverse, Kara." He stroked her cheek.
Cathexis research had been completed. All that was left was to explore the great unknown. A great job for the retired king of humanity. The Messenger should always accompany The Father. She was his prophet after all.
"Yes! Let's go! Let's go!" She smothered his face with kisses.
Prime looked away. Too much PDA for him. Maybe he should go find Laurie…
"When do you want to go? I was thinking-"
"Now! Right now! Come on, get up!"
Kara interrupted Val and pulled him to his feet. The son of Ul sighed. Today it is then.
"Clark. If there's anything you need, the Fortress is open to you. Faora will help you." Val-Ul said. Prime raised an eyebrow.
"Who?"
"I am his mother. My name is Faora-Ul." The AI hologram appeared beside the trio.
"Ah…hello." Prime greeted. Faora only nodded.
Kara tugged on Val's arm a few more times. She was impatient. Ready to go see the sights. She resembled a kid excited for a field trip.
"Alright Alright. Prime. Come here."
"Hmmm?"
"As The Father, I hereby name you: The Judge."
The crown levitated over to Superboy's head before settling on his black hair. A high pitched noise resounded as the bonding process took hold. The demon's crimson eyes changed to gold, only a small red dot left in the middle.
His limbs trembled as even more power flooded him. It wasn't just more strength. It gave him abilities. Resistances. The Judge turned to Val in disbelief. If just the crown could do so much…how strong was Val-Ul? Only now did his thoughts change.
Val-Ul pat him on the shoulder. He already knew what Prime was thinking. It was natural. Inevitable.
"We'll be back after our business trip. I don't know how long it will take since there's no rush. Have fun." The Father commented.
Both Kara and Val-Ul vanished from the spot. Almost as if popping out of existence. They'd teleported to Bastion. Heading to the warp gate.
Superboy Prime looked at his hands. His expression slowly morphed into one of joy. Like a demon, he cackled with manic glee.
"Hahahahaha!"
His body slowly phased out of reality like an afterimage. The next moment, he could be found in deep space. His figure accelerated as he looked for a punching bag to test his new strength.
…
…
…
Bastion
Val-Ul and Kara Dru Zod stared at the warp gate. The scientists were clicking all over the holographic keyboards. They flicked switches and pulled levers. The gate started to activate.
"Are you sure it was wise to give him the crown?" Kara asked. He patted her head.
"There's no longer any chance of betrayal. It's fine."
Now that Prime was bonded to the crown, his mind had already been altered. The boy wouldn't even notice it. Thoughts of destroying the timeline, thoughts of real and fake, thoughts of harming humanity…it had all faded away with the surge of new strength.
"Father, the portal is ready." A human scientist announced with a bow.
A green portal had materialized within the warp gate. Nothing could be seen on the other side. The coordinates had been randomized. As they walked up the steps, a feminine voice called out.
"Father!"
Val-Ul turned to see the tamaranean woman bursting into the room. Her expression was a mix of panic and determination. Her green eyes met his holy gaze and she faltered. Immediately, she looked to the ground.
He casually walked over to her. Many things were analyzed with a glance. Her hands were fidgeting. Her heart was beating quickly.
"Koriand'r." He said. Starfire's eyes widened.
"You…you know my name?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"
"But…I am a nobody."
"That isn't true…Look at me when I am speaking to you." He gently lifted her chin.
Starfire's gaze finally reached his eyes. Seeing his face up close…she couldn't help but fall into a daze. Her breath was caught in her throat.
Kara felt her women's intuition radar go wild. Her mood soured quickly. With a major frown, she flew between them. Her back pressed against Val's chest, reminding them of her presence. With crossed arms, she growled.
"Speak."
Starfire immediately snapped out of her daze. Remembering why she was here, she sidestepped The Messenger and met Val's gaze again. She had found her courage.
"May I speak with you upon your return?"
"You may."
"Thank you. Until next time then?"
"Until next time."
The tamaranean nodded with visible relief. It was as if a large part of her burden had been released. Must be something important.
Grabbing the seething Kara by the waist, Val floated back to the warp gate. She only huffed in irritation before stepping through the portal. The son of Ul followed with a wry smile.
