You need to look extra pretty," Linda said as she stood on the bed, her feet resting on pink pillows, applying makeup to a Snow White doll over a meter tall. Despite the doll towering half a head above her, she insisted on playing mommy, determined to dress it up beautifully.
Gilbert pushed the door open and walked in slowly.
"Daddy!" Linda turned her head. The moment she saw him, a flicker of nervousness and fear flashed through her clever little eyes. But quickly, dimples appeared on her chubby cheeks as she smiled brightly and ran toward him with open arms.
