Nilo couldn't even form words after screaming. His body was frozen as he stared at the woman who professed his love for him. Who was now nothing more than a mere red smear.
Nilo slowly looked up to see what had killed Gabby. And what he saw looked to be unreal. Nilo was looking up at what looked to be a creature from fiction.
The creature in question looked to be around 15 feet tall. The monster was red. It had heavily thick muscles on its legs and arms. It sported a round stomach. The beast had no hair, but it had two black horns protruding from its head and orange eyes with no pupils.
The beast opened its mouth, and its teeth were sharp and as big as an average-sized adult.
It looked like the monstrosity was just aloof. It didn't even bother to look down to see that it killed Gabby!
The monster turned its neck and looked away. It looked like to had spotted something. So it just walked away from Nilo. Not while causing small quakes and leaving bloody footprints with each step of Gabby.
"....What the actual fuck is going on....." Nilo questioned.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
"NO PLEASE!"
"MOMMY! HELP ME!"
Nilo turned around to the cries of despair, and his pupils shrank upon seeing what was happening.
Multiple monsters were attacking and killing people.
He saw a grown man surrounded by what looked to be red bald creatures the size of toddlers. With yellow eyes, tiny black horns, and tails with a spear at the end.
The man was pinned to the ground with his back.
Each monster held the man's limbs. One of the creatures climbed up onto the man and had a feral grin.
Nilo then noticed the sharp claws each of those creatures had.
Without warning, the creature started slicing the man's torso. His blood was flying everywhere from each swing. The scariest part of all this is that those creatures are smiling! They are enjoying this!
The light in the man's eyes faded away, indicating that he was dead.
You would think they would stop, right? That's what Nilo thought.
No, the creature continues to tear out the man's torso, even though it has already opened the man's stomach. Another one of the creatures jumped onto the corpse.
Both creatures dig into the dead man.
They pulled out what looked to be an esophagus using their teeth. They were fighting over it like how dogs fight for a steak.
Nilo was doing everything he could to stop the bile rising from his throat.
He then spotted what looked to be a group of people with grey skin, rotting flesh, missing parts of their bodies, but most importantly, the stench coming from them was bad.
"N-No way...Z-Zombies?!" Nilo said in horror.
Yes. Actual zombies were roaming the living world.
The ones who weren't zombies were actively running away from those flesh-eating monsters.
There was one zombie who held a little kid. The kid was kicking and crying for dear life. The zombie opened its mouth and bit off the kid's forehead!
Half of the kid's brain was seen as the other half was being eaten, while blood was coming out of the zombie's mouth.
Nilo at this moment, knew one thing: if he stayed here, he would die!
He made a mad dash to escape the park.
As he saw the street, he also spotted Gabby's wagon!
Nilo figured if he could take Gabby's car, he could quickly drive back home and get his family.
"Shit! David! Mom!"
Nilo reached into his pocket and nearly fumbled pulling out his phone.
Nilo quickly called his mother first.
"Ma! Listen! I don't know what the hell is going on! But creatures from Hell are suddenly appearing! They're killing people! I don't know if they reached you or not! Just don't open the door for anybody until I come! Tell David this!" Nilo explained.
He didn't hear his mother's voice, only her voicemail. Which filled Nilo with dread.
He puts away his phone and focused on just getting back to his family.
Nilo was then tackled by a black blur. He tumbled to the ground and looked up to see what looked to be a large black dog, around 5 feet. Its eyes were glowing red. and had jagged, razor-sharp teeth.
The dog opened its mouth and released some ember.
Nilo was terrified because the dog that looked to be from Hell was staring at it, with the intent to kill.
It charged at Nilo again as it leaped up to pounce on him. This time, Nilo was prepared as he used his feet to kick the dog before it could attack him. Making the dog fly over Nilo and hit a tree.
Nilo knew he wouldn't get a second chance, so he quickly got up and ran to the wagon.
At the same time, the dog got up and shook itself. It now snarled at Nilo as it chased after him.
Nilo made it to the street, and luckily for him, the driver's door was open. He quickly locked the doors to the car just as the hound bashed itself against the car.
Nilo spots that Gabby left the keys to the car.
"Thank you Gabby." Nilo said with a sad smile.
He turned the keys and started the car. Driving away from the park as his next destination was to his house.
When he looked straight towards the road, there was more chaos.
Bats that looked to be around 8 feet tall were snatching people from the ground and into the sky.
Two bats were fighting for a woman they picked up. She was held by both of their legs until they ripped her in half, killing her and having her guts fall to the ground.
More zombies were attacking people by invading homes in a group of hordes.
There was another massive monster that was grabbing people by its hand and shoving them into its mouth.
"I need to get back to my family! Then I need to get them out of here!"

Nilo stops in front of his house, not even caring that he didn't park perfectly. It didn't matter, he needed to save his family!
Nilo ran out of the car, quickly made it to the door, and used his key to open the door.
"Mom! David!" Nilo screamed.
David who was asleep on the couch, was startled as he was surprised by Nilo's tone, but upon staring at his older brother. He noticed the amount of blood on his face and hoodie.
"Nilo...You didn't kill anyone right?" David questioned.
"No! Listen.....Where's mom!? We need to leave now!" Nilo states.
"S-She's upstairs. Though I haven't heard from her in a while." David explained.
Nilo gasped. He didn't want to fear the worst, but considering how Gabby died, and how many people are being killed by those...Creatures...He had to make sure his mother was alive!
He quickly went upstairs and went to her room, as the door was already opened.
When Nilo entered her mother's room. All hope that his mother survived died in his heart.
There was a massive hole where the window was. But Nilo couldn't care. What he spotted made him cry.
There was his mother, who was lying on her bed, she was being chewed on by what looked to be a fusion of a bat and a human. 6 ft tall, entirely grey except for its red eyes. Had large bat wings protruding out of its back.
Nilo didn't even have the heart to scream.
Suddenly, the bat person turned around and snarled at Nilo as it lunged at Nilo!
Nilo was tackled to the ground by the monster. They tumbled downstairs, grappling with each other.
"Nilo! What the hell is going on?!" David demanded. He then saw the 6 ft man bat tackling his brother.
"DAVID! GET THE KNIFE!"
David quickly went into the kitchen to find the largest knife he could find.
Meanwhile Nilo was weaving his head from each bite attempt from the monster.
David then came in and stabbed the creature in the eye.
Causing it to screech out in pain.
Nilo grabbed the knife and plunged the knife into its neck. Making the creature gurgle out blood before dying. Blood pooled from the creature.
Nilo pushed the corpse off of his body and stood up.
He glared at the dead creature.
Without warning, he stabbed the creature's back and did again...Again....Again...And again.
Not evening caring that it was dead, Nilo just wanted to vent out his rage.
Eventually, Nilo stopped.
Nilo stared at the bloody knife.
All the adrenaline he had was gone as he fell onto the ground.
He then let the tears fall out of his eyes. As he broke down crying.
David went to comfort his brother with a hug.

Nilo and David were now in Gabby's car, were driving away from their house, looking to find somewhere safe.
"So....Mom's..."
"Yeah..." Nilo confirmed.
David had a blank stare before wiping his eyes of tears.
"Nilo....What do we do?" David asked.
"...For now, we need to move to another state. Hopefully, there aren't any monsters there.....I hope....." Nilo said in a dejected tone.
"I'm just wondering how this....All happened?" David questioned.
"Maybe this is punishment from God? Probably tired of humanity's shit." Nilo joked with a dark statement.
"What about Sarah and Dad?" David asked.
"Sarah probably flying right now...Or the plane crashed and she's already dead....And Dad's probably dead too." Nilo states.
"You don't know that! Maybe they made made!" David hoped.
Nilo had a small smile.
"You know what, your probably right. Once we reach the state, we'll try calling them. For now, just head to sleep alright? I promise to wake you up once we reached our destination." Nilo said.
"All right..."
David closed his eyes and took a slumber.
Nilo stopped smiling as he focused on the road.
"I promise to make sure you stay alive David...I'll take care of us."
