Chapter 49 - Chapter 049: The Most Wanted Pirate in the North Blue!

One Day Later.

North Blue, somewhere on the sea.

"Report…"

"There's an island spotted ahead to the right, and there's a pirate ship docked on the shore. Ahead to the right…"

Hearing the lookout's voice, Burgess immediately stood up and looked in that direction.

"There is a pirate ship! Finally, a fight! Wahahahaha~~"

Burgess raised his arms, full of excitement and joy.

Doc Q also looked in that direction and said with a sinister smile, "It's been a long time since I last killed someone. Finally, I can see some blood again."

Laffitte twirled his cane and smiled faintly. "It's really rare. Since I set sail, this is the first group of pirates we've encountered."

"But whether or not the ship changes course is not up to us."

Laffitte looked at the others seriously and said, "The only one who can steer this ship is Captain Chris."

Law nodded in agreement. "We'll just wait for orders, no need to bother with anything else."

Hawkins followed up, "There can only be one captain on a ship."

"No matter what the course is, only the captain has the final say. That's indisputable."

Just then, the sound of footsteps came.

Sweetheart Queen, with a look of anticipation, smiled sweetly. "A pirate ship appeared, and our luck is finally turning."

"We've never run into this kind of situation before."

Belo Betty looked toward the ship ahead and said casually, "This one's bound to be different."

Karina's arched eyebrows twitched as she blinked playfully. "We must snatch their treasure when the time comes."

Perona floated in mid-air and let out a clear laugh. "This princess will show those pirates what true fear is—Horororororo..."

Just then, Burgess jumped up and laughed loudly. "The captain's here! Looks like I get to go all out!"

Doc Q chuckled, "Finally, some bloodshed. I've been holding back for too long."

"You better hope they're strong enough to put up a fight," Laffitte said with a gentleman's smile, placing his cane in front of him.

"Ordinary pirates won't stand a chance against us."

Law, holding the cursed blade Kikoku, said coldly, "Honestly, what I want to see most is the captain fighting."

"But this is the North Blue—there aren't any strong pirates here, so he probably won't make a move."

Hawkins nodded, calm as always. "If the captain takes action, then there's no room left for us."

"And if that happens, the crew won't get any battle experience."

Soon, the Chris ship docked beside the pirate ship on the shore.

Seeing the massive ship next to them, the crew started discussing it.

Burgess, now excited, laughed out loud, "Such a huge pirate ship! They can't be weak—time for a proper battle!"

Doc Q, looking at the massive ship with a mysterious smile, said, "That ship's even bigger than ours. Why not just take it?"

"Our ship is getting a bit cramped, anyway."

Hawkins, as always with a grim look, said in a low voice, "With more and more new members joining, it'll soon get too crowded."

Law nodded in agreement. "It really is time for a new ship."

"Yay yay yay~~!"

Perona's eyes sparkled, and she said gleefully, "That ship looks so imposing! Let's use that one from now on!"

Karina, staring at the large ship, sighed in amazement. "Such a big pirate ship must be full of treasure. We've hit the jackpot!"

"I recognize that pirate flag." Reiju touched her smooth chin and said with a smile.

Sweetheart Queen quickly asked, "Reiju, who are they? Why is their ship so massive?"

Everyone turned to look at Reiju, waiting for her answer.

Reiju tucked her hair behind her ear, her flawless face showing a gentle smile.

"I've researched the most notorious pirate crews in the North Blue."

"That flag belongs to the White Ghost Pirates."

"The captain, White Ghost Orifor, has the highest bounty in the North Blue—83 million Berries."

Reiju smiled sweetly at everyone and continued, "This guy is ruthless. He's been committing crimes for years—killing many civilians and marines."

"Even though he's been hunted by the Navy constantly, he always escapes in time, making him a big headache for them."

Hearing that, Burgess shrugged, sounding disappointed.

"Only 83 million? Come on, that's too weak! At least give me someone worth over a hundred million—that's a real fight!"

Laffitte adjusted his top hat and said gently, "That's not how it works."

"The Four Blues aren't like the Grand Line. Bounties here are generally much lower."

"To reach over 80 million in the North Blue means Orifor's no pushover."

Law nodded again, agreeing, "It's the highest bounty I've ever heard of in the Blues."

Hawkins stayed calm, his voice deep. "I've heard of him—infamous in the North Blue."

"If he's that evil, then taking his ship is totally justified."

Sweetheart Queen blinked, her adorable face lighting up with a smile.

At that moment, Chris finally spoke in a calm voice.

"Everyone, go check that ship. From now on, it's ours."

"Yes, Captain Chris!"

"Hurry, hurry! We're getting a bigger ship, hahaha…"

"Move it! There's gotta be treasure onboard, gah gah gah~~"

"Hehehe, if you run into Captain Chris, consider yourself unlucky. I'll hold a three-minute silence for you."

"Enough talking, just take it already! La la la…"
