Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

"Teach me some new skills."

"Ok, master."

Rey's eyes widened; she agreed so easily.

No, this is not good.

The two came to the courtyard, and Emily said, "What happened yesterday was my fault, and I apologise to you."

Rey didn't react for a long time. "You ate the wrong thing."

Yesterday she obviously hated him very much, otherwise she wouldn't have spoken love words to him while crying.

Emily frowned and glanced at him, "I did misunderstand you. I was too impulsive yesterday, so I deserve to be punished."

Rey looked weird.

Something is wrong.

He thought for a while and said, "Actually, I still like your unruly look."

"You are sick." Emily just said it and then continued, "Master Rey, you are so great."

Only then did she know that what Rey said yesterday about taking a day off was true.

Complex thoughts emerged, and Emily tried her best to suppress them, barely stopping the bad thoughts.

Rey smiled with satisfaction.

Right.

"Then let's start studying."

Hearing what he said, Emily breathed lightly, pushed her blond hair behind her ears, and stretched out her hand.

Rey looked at the small white hand and shook it.

He felt Emily squeeze it doubtfully and then looked over.

The next moment, Emily showed a murderous look, slammed his hand away, and suppressed her anger. "Sword, I asked you to bring the sword."

"Oh, that's it, but I want to learn something else today."

"What do you want to learn?"

"Fighting skills without weapons."

Emily thought for a moment, then sneered, with a fierce look in her red eyes, "Okay, then you have to experience it personally."

There were two people outside the courtyard looking at the situation inside, namely Tilu and Lettice.

Lettice was a little curious. "Sister, Miss Emily is the only one here who doesn't wear a collar. Is she a friend of Ray...the master?"

Tilu asked her to add the name Tilu, and she thought it was good, so she kept the name.

As for calling him Master Rey, Tilu forced it because the rules cannot be messed with.

Tilu was holding tea and snacks and looking at Rey with a somewhat absent-minded look.

It took her a long time to come back to her senses. "No, she is the owner's product and will probably be sold in the next few days."

"Sell it?" Lettice felt that this topic was not a good topic, so she asked, "Sister Tilu, how did you and the master know each other?"

She was really curious.

Rey and she have only been in this world for three days, but seeing how Tilu looks so loyal to Rey, it doesn't seem like a relationship that can be formed in a short time.

Tilu looked away from Rey for the first time. She seemed a little excited. "You want to know?"

Lettice nodded weakly.

She listened to the story that had been embellished from Tilu's perspective, and it seemed that Rey had changed his past personality for her.

But she soon noticed something else.

Rey was very weak at the beginning. At that time, he was almost killed by his adoptive father in order to help Tilu.

Getting stronger happened later.

Lettice looked at Rey, who was knocked down again and again by Emily in the courtyard, and her eyes quietly changed.

She originally thought that she was the only one who was unlucky. Rey had a high starting point, was strong, and didn't have to worry about danger.

But Rey also came out of a dangerous situation; he just had to become stronger.

Lettice pursed her lips; if there was anything she could do, she wanted to help him.

······

asshole.

After Rey walked out of the door, he immediately grinned.

That Emily actually took advantage of practice to secretly take revenge on him.

He was in pain all over his body now and couldn't straighten his waist.

I just didn't want to be embarrassed in front of so many people, so I kept enduring it.

The only good thing is that under Emily's education, he successfully learnt this fighting technique without using any points.

Even if Emily's strength was restricted to the same level as his, he still wouldn't be able to defeat her. After all, this fighting skill was taught by her opponent.

If the points hadn't just been used up, he would have made Emily look good.

Rey arrived at the meeting place and met several adventurers of the day.

The short female Eudora walked up to him and looked him up and down. "Is this what you're wearing?"

Rey had a sword on him, while the people in front of him were wearing half-body armour and knee pads, like the low-level adventurer outfits in the story.

He wondered for a moment, "Isn't the target of our trip this time a monster that has just reached E level?"

"Yeah," Eudora was about to say something when the man with glasses said nonchalantly, "He doesn't need to do anything anyway; he can dress up in any way."

As the captain, Thor stood up and said, "Let's do this. Rey, try to stay behind the team and be responsible for supporting."

Only then did Rey realise that they didn't intend to use him as a fighting force, but he didn't mind either. He was only interested in the adventurers themselves and was not here to make money.

I'll look for the magic stone myself when I get out at night. If I'm lucky, I might even run into that D-class monster.

Thor is a warrior and is responsible for the vanguard; Eudora is an archer and central defender; the brown-haired man Aido is responsible for reconnaissance and treatment.

He knows a little basic healing magic, but he can only suppress bleeding and basic detoxification; Pard, who wears glasses, is responsible for support.

Originally, there was a nimble woman in their team who was responsible for collecting magic stones and materials from monsters. Rey took over her job.

"Because your job is relatively easy, the pay is only 10%. How about that?"

When Rey saw the brown-haired man Aido looking like he wanted to say something, he knew that Thor was probably taking care of him, so he happily agreed.

When everyone was preparing to set off, Aido deliberately took a few steps late.

"Speaking of which, don't hold us back. Although the role you want to play does not require participating in combat, you must also learn to avoid danger and not cause trouble for others. If someone in the team is harmed because of your drag, I won't spare you."

Aido's expression was a little impatient and his words were not pleasant, but he seemed to value his teammates.

"I see."

Rey's reply made Aido curl his lips and stand back to his position.

Their target is E-class grizzly bears. If they have time, they will hunt a few more unclassified monsters as pocket money.

On the way, a few people killed some random monsters to try their hand, and Rey followed behind to classify the things that could be sold.

He originally only took magic stones, but after Eudora informed him, he knew that the claws and furs of some monsters were also very valuable.

The journey was very relaxing, and Eudora went to the back to chat with Rey.

"Your knife skills are pretty good. Have you ever done this before?"

"That's right, it feels a lot like chopping vegetables."

"Haha, you are so funny. The monster's meat and bones are so hard; can it be the same as chopping vegetables?"

Rey really felt that there was no difference. He organised the collected materials and then noticed his sight.

The bespectacled man, Pade, was looking around but did not look here.

The team continued to move forward, and soon they reached their destination valley.
