*Dorian Whitehall*
Dorian let's begin, mana can be awakened through different circumstances, great sacrifice, genetic lottery and training she said. Dorian thought for a moment silent still trying to process where he was? And what they were about to do? Dorian I can read your thoughts, so just talk to me rather than trying to hide your ideas she said. But where are we? he said looking around the infinite white space. We were just in the forest, and the dragon, you have to let me go back to Quinton he can't walk. He was frantically scraping and at the white expanse in hopes of somehow breaking free. Dorian listen to me you'll die if you leave and Quinton will die too if you don't stay here and train. She paused for a moment thinking, but Dorian couldn't hear her thoughts like she could his. This place is a higher plain of existence it's a concept that I created and named 'True Solace', it allows me to gather my thoughts without prying eyes or others intruding my thoughts. It's a dimension that transcends time itself, my very own domain, where I can freely think and experiment on new concepts, it has no end, and I can freely travel within to any point and when exiting this space I can only travel to the point that I left from, I know right, if I tried a bit harder I might be able to travel to any point true out time, like the primordial beings. For a moment her expression darkened. But then she smiled once more, but you don't need to know any of that yet, nor will I be the one to teach it to you.
She was standing a few meters in front of Dorian and then instantly appeared before him, She wasn't joking about the teleportation he thought. She gently pressed her index and middle finger to Dorian's forehead, he jumped slightly feeling how cold her body was and then a slight warmth from the mana she was using, I'm going to transfer my mana to you in hopes of awakening your ability Dorian, he nodded and relaxed into her touch. It took a moment but then he felt it, first his nerves, then his muscles and finally his bones. It tingled slightly when his fingers touched, he had awakened mana, he smiled, Are we going to begin training, so Tiria, first you must use your ability Dorian. He had forgotten he needed an actual ability as he was so focused on just having the almost addictive feeling of mana coursing through his bones. Dorian try figure out the knot in your head, forget all else except the thought of mana at your finger tips, everything else is not important, nothing else matters if you don't awaken your ability. Dorian took a deep breath in and started to clear his mind of all his worries, his fears of the dragon and Quinton dieing, his fears of Tartan's mangled face and him possibly never being able to walk again, his fears of death and his kingdom being destroyed by civil war.
It all disappeared his mind now blank of thought and full of emptiness, he could feel the mana flowing faster and stronger within him, the way his body was feeling, like the mana was a drug he couldn't give up he, he was going to.... Dorian she said quite as a mouse, look at me, who are you? She asked. Dorian looked at her in disbelief,You know who I am, I'm Dorian Whitehall, King of the Golden Vale, King of Whitehall, Son of Rys Whitehall, Grandson of Kaenor Whitehall and Great Grandson of Adam Whitehall 'The White Bull', and your descendant, he said proudly. Ifyou are Dorian Whitehall, prove to me you are worthy of the title of King, show me you aren't a man derived solely on power, for if you fail to be just, you fail to rule, and if you fail to rule, you are not worthy of the crown bestowed upon you, she said challenging his very predetermined view of his position.
She then pulled down her hood revealing an ice cold face, her head was long and her eyes almond colour, her hair was a white at first and slowly turned darker almost to an black in colour. But that didn't detour Dorian, he needed to be strong and resilient against all foes he faced against opponents you sought to see him fail and sucumb to despair and grief.
And then he felt the mana pour into his hand, he lifted it slightly and pushed the mana out, it materialise into a formation that a user can manipulate into his or her ability but nothing happened for Dorian. Why is this happening? I have projection type mana, yes? he asked, yes you do Dorian, she responded sitting down a few meters away from him. Maybe if I use a weapon something can happen? he asked. A weapon? Yes I guess a weapon is a way to channel mana, but projection types normally don't work that way but, if you insist, she cocked an eyebrow and with a flick of her wrist a blade appeared before him, a plain standard stainless steel blade. How did you? he asked looking between her and the blade, This is my domain is it not Dorian, she smiled and giggled slightly, and within my domain I have supreme command, she paused and I guess you also forgot my ability is conceptual creation, such things as a shield or sword are light work for me to make.
Thanks he muttered under his breath and picked up the sword. Now channel your mana into the- he cut her off I know. Very well, my child continue, she now sat with her feet cross-legged staring at Dorian intriguingly. Dorian felt the blade draw power from his body, but it felt good and releaving some pressure off of himself. Before him was two lines that looked like an intersection on a graph, a X axis or a Y axis he said. Why an axis? she asked. Because there's something like a graph in front of me, where two points meet, he looked over at Tiria. Press the point, she said. Then he pressed it and mana began to leave that point, so much so he could push his finger through the point. This is some reality warping ting, he said confused. I don't know what kind of power you have, but if you weaken mana, and cut reality, then you must be able to cut through training dummies, she said and with a snap of her fingers a line of dummies clad in knights armor stood before them. Cut them in half, she beckoned and he lunged forward swinging his sword and sliced through the first dummy with ease. She flicked her wrist and another appeared, train like this for a while and you might be able to defeat every dragon alive, except for Viserion but that won't matter. Begin your training Dorian and don't look back if you want to save your friends, she said whilst humming lightly and smiling at Dorian.
