Chapter 15 - Ch. 015 - Practice [3]

After finishing the first step, it was now time to proceed to the second step. Countless chains burst out from my sternum, connecting themselves to the energies around me. Once they linked, they pulled the energies to my sternum.

As they reached my sternum where the gas sphere is located, they automatically joined the sphere, glueing themselves to the pack. More and more joined the fray of hugs until some area of the sphere transformed into semi-solid.

I knew it wasn't enough, so I ordered the chains to go out and accumulate more energies to feed my semi-solid sphere. More chains burst in the open and dragged the energies to my sternum, where they too joined the group.

But yet it wasn't enough. Some areas of my sphere looked solid, but some were still semi-solid, and only a few are still in their gas form.

I dragged more energies to my core, forcing them to condense. But my sternum began to ache in pain and soon I found myself gasping for air as I opened my eyes, tightly clutching the bed sheets. I had to stop for a brief moment.

I tried to resume again, but my sternum was still hurting which was followed by an excruciating headache.

I stopped the process. The book made it sound easier, but it was hard to put to test. Even if my sternum wasn't feeling the pain, my fatigue would mess my progress and ruin my hard work.

I slowly inhaled and exhaled for my heart to calm down. When it was calm, I closed my eyes and looked into my core. It was still the same.

But I have to stop. Being greedy won't do anything good to me.

I felt my throat dry and tried to stand up from my bed, but because I was sitting cross-legged for too long, blood rushed up to my brain so fast that I became dizzy.

Then I lost consciousness.

I have a long way to go. But I have time. I won't rush this time.
