Hello everyone, this novel will be based heavily on chess since that is the format that the system took for the MC's subordinates, but you don't need to know a single thing about chess to enjoy the novel. in fact, you can probably enjoy the novel even if you've never heard the word chess in your life.
Like I said in the later chapters, I'm planning on having more than one FL. It won't be a harem, and the romance will be fleshed out, but there will be two or three FL depending on how the story goes.
Lastly, there'll be a lot of game-like elements in the story, and there will be a deeper and larger storyline embedded into the regular plot of him growing stronger. the MC will be a tactical type of fighter. He will go out into the frontlines every now and then, but his major role in battles will be controlling the Legion and ordering their movement to ensure his victory.
After all, he is the King, and the King is the most important piece in chess.
