Chapter 28 - THE FAREWELL OF A QUEEN

The black convoy glided through the night like shadows in mourning.

Rayyan's elite soldiers flanked the vehicle carrying Mama's body, their weapons lowered out of respect, but their eyes sharp — no threat would come near her tonight.

In the lead car, Baba sat beside Rayyan, his hands trembling slightly as they rested on his knees. His eyes never left the road ahead — not because he was watching, but because his heart was still trapped in the room where Mama had taken her last breath.

Sara, her sister, Jabir, followed behind in silence — a silence that spoke louder than any words ever could.

The small mosque stood alone under the soft light of the moon. It was simple, peaceful — the kind of place that suited Mama's quiet kindness.

Rayyan's men stood in formation outside, creating a wall of protection around the mosque, guarding her final moments with honor.

Inside, the Janazah prayer began.

The Imam's voice was soft, filled with both reverence and sorrow.

Behind him stood Baba, Rayyan, Sara, Jabir, and the others — hands folded, hearts breaking.

With every whispered prayer, the reality grew heavier.

She was gone — but her legacy had just begun.

One by one, they stepped forward, not to mourn — but to speak their final words to their Queen.

Sara's Words

Sara knelt beside Mama's covered body, her tears flowing freely.

"You weren't just my employer — you were my home. Every word you spoke made me feel safe. Every smile reminded me that even in this broken world, goodness still existed. You were our light, and now the house will feel so dark without you."

"But I swear on my life — we will carry your light forward. We will protect what you loved, and no matter how heavy the storm becomes, we will stand. For you."

Sara's Sister's Words

Sara's sister stepped forward, voice trembling but her heart strong.

"You treated me like I was your own, even though I was just someone who worked for you. You made me feel seen, respected — and in your kindness, I found my worth."

"You are gone, but your kindness will live inside us. I promise, no matter what happens, I will never forget the love you showed me. You were a queen in life — and you will be a queen in heaven."

Jabir's Words

Jabir wiped his face, struggling to find words through his grief.

"Mama… I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to say goodbye to someone who raised me, fed me, scolded me, and loved me."

"You gave me a home when I had nothing. You gave me a family when I was alone. I promise you — I will protect that family now. I'll protect Baba. I'll protect Mirshad. And I will stand at the gates of hell if that's what it takes to make sure no one touches the people you loved ever again."

 Rayyan Speaks

For a long time, Rayyan stood silently beside her grave. His eyes, always sharp and unforgiving, softened only for her. His hands trembled — the only sign that even the Last Judge could break.

Then, he knelt beside her, placing his hand gently on the white cloth covering her face.

"Sister…" His voice was a whisper, but it carried through the quiet night.

"You were the only light I ever knew. You were the only person who looked at me — not with fear, but with love."

"I was your shadow, but you made me feel like I belonged in the sun."

"And now, you're gone. But I swear to you — I will not mourn you with words."

"I will mourn you with blood."

"I will find every hand that dared to hurt you. I will break every bone that touched you. From the gates of heaven, you will watch me drag them through hell, one by one, until not even their ashes remain."

"I will not stop until the world remembers your name — not as a victim, but as the woman whose death set fire to the empire that thought it was untouchable."

"This is my vow — not as a brother, but as the Last Judge."

 Baba Speaks

Baba's knees hit the earth beside her grave. His forehead touched the ground, his hands trembling as they sank into the soil.

"My love…"

"You were my salvation. You were the only reason I ever believed I could be more than a killer. You gave me a home when I deserved nothing but a prison cell. You gave me love when all I knew was blood."

"Without you, I am nothing. But with your memory — I will become something even the devil fears."

"I will burn this world to the ground if that's what it takes to honor you."

"Every Don, every man who stood beside them, every shadow who whispered your death — they will see me at their doorstep, not as a husband, but as the storm they cannot escape."

"I will not stop until the ground they walk on remembers your name."

"This is my promise — not as your husband, but as your guardian."

The Unspoken Promise – Baba Speaks for Mirshad

Baba placed his hand on the ground, as if touching the earth that now cradled her.

"And if Mirshad could stand here now, he would speak too."

"He would say — you were not his mother by blood, but in those days, you gave him something no one else ever gave him.

"You asked him if he ate. You made him smile. You spoke to him like family — and for a boy like him, that was everything."

"He would promise you — no matter how much blood he has to spill, no matter how much power he has to awaken, no matter how much pain he must endure — he will protect this family you gave him."

"He will not just end the men who took you — he will erase their names from history itself."

"From heaven, you will watch him become the storm this world was never ready for."

"That is his promise. That is my promise as his guardian."

The Earth Takes the Queen

The soil was gently poured over Mama's body, layer by layer, sealing her in the embrace of the earth.

But her spirit — her love, her kindness, her quiet strength — it would never be buried.

It lived now in the hearts of those who stood around her grave.

It lived now in the rage that burned in Baba's veins.

It lived now in the storm awakening inside Mirshad's heart.

Her death was not the end.

It was the spark that lit the fire that would burn the entire empire to ashes.
