Chapter 8 - Corruption in Nalthis Mountains

*As Arthur and The Mountain Giant's Leader were done with their conversation, the only odd one their, A rank Adventurer Serina looked visually stunned. Arthur was told that the language they had a conversation in was Elven and no one except someone who knows Elven should be able to understand what just happened. Looking at Serina's expressions Arthur could tell, she understood what was going on, which only confused both Raven and Arthur more before the Mountain Giant's Leader referred to Serina as a child of Nature. Serina Acrothis, was an Elf using magic markings to use an extremely high level of magic to hide her real identity and the reason she didn't start running out of the dungeon was as she was an Elf and had thought to heal the mountain giants and lead them out of the dungeon in case they were lost. As humans and Elven's nature do not match, their relation being like water and oil, Elves could only be found of the other side of Nalthis Mountains far north of the central continent. Elvens hiding among humans was thought to be a myth as Elves preferred solitution from humans and are found nore commonly in Large Forests.

The only Eleven Clan to have actually connection to humans was the Nakazuki Clan or in Orbus's language means "neutral to nature". The Nakazuki Clan is known for taking in innovation better then any other Elven Clan and can tolerate reasonable harm to the nature for growth, to say they are in faver to moving with the culture. The Nakazuki Clan is also the Clan closest to the Nalthis Mountains, being exactly on the other side of the mountains.

Seeing the elfin not only Arthur was caught off guard, but also Raven as he could have not have experienced to see an elf so soon. When Raven was looking for options for his first follower, he thought of elfs as his first option because of their nature, but found out they were directly preying to the Goddess of Nature, Iris. The decided to talk to Iris about this matter after she recovers completely knowing the fact that the Goddess had been overworking herself from even before he arrived and took over. He didn't notice anything at first because they only looked like humanoids made of different colors at first, but after his training he could briefly see them. It wasn't that he could see their face or anything like that, but their expressions were more noticeable, not to mention her voice was weaker.

Raven came out of trance and looks back at the dungeon's odd scene, an human, an elf and a group of mountain giants all together, possibly their for the same reason. Raven thought of the fact that this might have been for the better, as if we wanted to do what he wanted, he would surly need a mediator between the humans and elfs, not including the Nakazuki Clan. Even if Raven was happy about the near faithed situation, the situation in the dungeon was far from being good. Sarina was on guard, same for Arthur and the mountain giants were confused from the odd tension that had taken place in the dungeon's boss room.

But, before anyone could react oddly Raven's voice echoed in the boss room "All beings here, an Great Evil God was awakened and all Gods had to fight that being. It's fragments have fallen on your world and most likely are the reason why the mountain giants had to abandon their homes. I ask of this young elf to help my follower fix the issue, I am expecting that the mountain giants leaving the Nalthis Mountains was the reason why you came to this dungeon with the adventurer party".

Sarina was stunned as the elves had thought all gods excluding the Goddess of Nature and Life, Iris was the only remaining God left in the world, likely as she was the only one who was active after the Age of Gods. She still agreed as helping the Guardians of the Nalthis Mountains was something Elf took pride in and was held as an achievement in their culture. Leaving the dungeon they didn't see anyone, the A rank adventurers had ran back to the adventurer's guide probably to report Arthur's actions.

After a whole day and half of walking they reached the Nalthis mountain range, even if Atlush was close to Nalthis mountains it was quite far. Resting at the foot of one of the greatest mountain range to exist on the surface Arthur's mind was filled with adventurous thoughts. After the night passed they started to climb the rough route that leaded a better climb then a strate climb that the mountain giants used, seeing the fact that they knew almost every detail of the path. Climbing over the third layer of the mountain range they saw a far more magical and beautiful world, something strate out of a dream.

Probably because they used the path the mountain giants used and were being carried by them to there, they had traveled at three times the speed anyone could have even with the shortcut. Looking at the beautiful plain land just before they forth layer of the Nalthis mountains which looked so tall that it went far above the clouds, then Arthur noticed the cave as they came a slight bit down to the plain ground. On talking to the mountain giants, the cave was their home, nothing fancy. A giant cavern that could probably hold in a whole town without an issue and the plain land between the third and forth layer of the Nalthis mountains looked like heaven. With one issue, every creature up their was massive in size, at least twice the size then normal.

Entering the cave sent shivers down everyone spines. The cavern was filled with a weird thick mana that they mountain giants could handle and they made distance from the cavern. Now Sarina and Arthur had to find the source of the corruption. They pushed through not even a few steps in and Sarina couldn't hold back the fact that she was feeling like something was killing her from within. Arthur used Preyer on Sarina which seems to have helped. Seeing the fact that Arthur could use skills that in Elven culture only priests could use, she started to let lose. They reached an area that looked to be where the mountain giants normal would have stayed in with a not too noticeable path leading to the other side of Nalthis mountains where the elfs lived. The paths was made in such matter that it was certain to created by nature itself, but they had yet to find the source of corruption they were looking for*.
