Chapter 42 - Chapter 42

Ding!

Detection at a distance of 500 steps from the treasure related to swordsmanship skills...

Using the treasure radar, I learned that a treasure was approaching us, and the only item on the entire island was the sword in Rayleigh's hands.

Kazan wanted to touch it, and get lucky.

As for the original Kitetsu and Sakura Ten, they already belong to the team and are not counted.

Therefore, Roger stepped in the way, and Kazan wasn't surprised.

...

Meanwhile, on Roger's pirate group side.

After realizing he couldn't stop Roger's challenge, Rayleigh went to find out information.

He had just returned to see that Roger had already taken action.

The only option was to hand Griffin over to Roger and stand with him.

The situation seemed tense.

However, Roger lifted his Straw Hat, his mouth opened wide, and he suddenly smiled:

— Oh, sorry, sorry, I really didn't mean to cause trouble! May I invite myself and my companion Rayleigh to a banquet on your ship?

— A banquet?

— Jump overboard! Roger! — Rayleigh was puzzled.

But deep down, he thought, "Didn't I say he come here to fight?"

Shiki immediately frowned upon hearing this.

— Hey! What do you think?

Looking over the entire Jaya island, filled with small-time pirates, the aura of these two should be noted, and according to Shakky's data, both of their bounties were only 20 million Berries each, which made Shiki even more curious.

However, he couldn't resist such a banquet proposal!

Do I really know you that well?

Roger had the talent to hear everything and sensed the original Kitetsu in Kazan's hands.

There was no murderous intent, nor any intention to fight!

Similarly, Kazan also had the ability to hear everything and perceived the Griffin with Roger.

There was an intention to fight, but no intention to kill!

Kazan understood that Roger was making excuses for a friendly meeting.

They both stood before him, and it would be impolite to refuse again!

These are characters who could stir up a storm in the future.

It's unknown what level of strength they have reached.

On the island of Jaya, there is no suitable arena, and the residents here have a high level of respect for the resounding golden bell and come down from the Sky Island.

This creates some inconvenience for the locals due to the fights.

Not the most reasonable choice.

— A banquet?

Soon the "Kuja ship" raised its sails.

The deck became lively.

The women of the "Amazons of Lily" are full of life skills, and they brought along food and wine.

Seeing such delicious food, Roger's eyes lit up, and he immediately sat cross-legged on the deck, clasping his hands together.

— Then I don't mind!!!

Hahaha! he laughed, starting to tear apart pieces of meat, chewing.

Rayleigh looked around, and his heart was increasingly in shock.

Looking at the pirate flag of this ship, he noticed its design was more feminine and immediately realized it belonged to a beautiful woman named Shakky ; she was the captain of the Kuja ship, and Kazan and Shiki were outsiders.

However, for some reason.

Both people and the ship had been won over by Kazan...

Unlike the smirking Roger, Rayleigh looked at everything more broadly and calmly.

Kazan's ability to conquer people's ship speaks volumes about his great charisma.

Unlike pirates who can only fight and kill, people with pride are destined for extraordinary things at sea.

Rayleigh was also impressed by Roger's audacity and decided to go to sea.

— Purr!

Roger swallowed a piece of meat and immediately tilted his head:

— Yahahaha! Thank you for your hospitality!

Rayleigh looked seriously and stated solemnly:

— Roger, he's not simple, he can win over someone from a pirate group with his courage.

Roger looked at Kazan with interest.

Then he reached out and clinked glasses with the nearest Shiki.

Like a carefree eater.

Shiki, of course, looked dissatisfied.

However, Shiki knew that his brother Kazan never does anything unnecessary, so he also suspected that these two were different. Yet, faced with Roger's cheerful clinking, he couldn't refuse and said:

— Bastard, drink with me, you're completely entitled here!

— Entitled?

— Hah...

Roger held his glass with one hand and pinched his chin with the other, as if pondering.

— Hahaha! It doesn't matter at all, right?

Shiki tilted his head to the side and drank the wine.

— Damn!

— I thought I could say something important!

Pirates!

Amateur pastimes, apart from eating and drinking, include boasting and sharing information.

The wine was brought to the table.

Roger and Rayleigh also began to share their experiences in the East Blue.

Obviously, their experiences were significantly different from what the Kazan brothers had seen.

Roger's experience among pirates was as clean as a blank sheet of paper.

And on Shiki's side.

He was drawn by Roger into a conversation on some topics related to the country of Wano and the increase in bounties.

Knowing Kazan, Shiki had visited the land of samurais and conquered Sakura ten, relying on his swordsmanship.

Roger's eyes immediately lit up.

— Oh!!!

— The legendary land of samurais?

— An amazing experience!!!

— Shiki, you really defeated so many samurais and won a famous sword from their hands, you're an incredible man!

Faced with Roger's camaraderie, Shiki couldn't resist:

— Hahaha, what is this...

Then.

He was once again drawn into briefly recounting the encounter with Navy Garp in the New World.

Upon hearing this, Rayleigh was even more astonished and stood up.

— Garp?

— That madman from the East blue?

— You fought against those two ruthless people from the fleet?

The sailing experiences of these two had enriched to such an extent!

Even now.

Garp's fame spread throughout the East blue.

Pirates were fleeing.

Roger pulled Rayleigh to sit:

— Rayleigh ! We will have all of this in the future!

— If you want to change the sea, there's no need to rush!

The time for the feast was nearly upon them.

The ship had also arrived at a spot where there was a deserted island.

Kazan laughed:

— Then state your purpose, Roger, Rayleigh!

— Oh!

Roger lifted his head with an unusually serious expression.

— I came to you to discuss! Kazan, because you are strong!

Since the other side made every effort to come, Kazan naturally wouldn't refuse.

— How can I refuse the interests of guests!

Chapter: A Meeting of Titans

The tension in the air was palpable as Kazan and his crew stood face to face with the infamous Roger and Rayleigh. The deserted island, a secluded spot far from the prying eyes of the Navy and other pirates, was the perfect place for such a confrontation.

Kazan looked at Roger intently, his dark eyes searching for any hint of deception. Roger, on the other hand, appeared calm and confident.

"If you've come to bargain, you'll need to make it worth while," Kazan stated firmly. His voice echoed across the empty island. The wind picked up slightly, rustling the leaves of the sparse trees.

Roger laughed heartily, a sound that seemed out of place given the seriousness of the situation. "Oh, I assure you, Kazan, this will be a meeting neither of us will forget. There's too much at stake in the New World."

Rayleigh stood silently beside Roger, his posture relaxed but his eyes alert, gauging every move and word spoken.

"So, what's your proposal, Roger?" Kazan asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

The pirate king took a step forward, a smile playing on his lips. "We propose an alliance. Together, we can stand against anyone who dares to challenge us in these waters."

Kazan considered this, the weight of Roger's words sinking in. An alliance with Roger and his crew would indeed be powerful, potentially shifting the balance of power in the New World.

However, Kazan was not someone easily swayed. "And what about when the Navy comes knocking? You know they won't sit idly by if we start claiming territories."

Roger nodded, understanding the reality of the situation all too well. "That's precisely why we need each other. Together, we're unstoppable."

There was a moment of silence as Kazan pondered his options. He could feel the eyes of his crew on him, trusting him to make the right decision. An alliance with Roger could either be a remarkable opportunity or a colossal mistake.

Finally, after what seemed an eternity, Kazan spoke, his voice steady. "Very well, Roger. I'll hear more of your plan. But make no mistake, if I sense any betrayal, this island won't be the last we meet."

Roger nodded solemnly, respecting the gravity of Kazan's words. "Agreed. Let's make history together."
