Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

Wu Er remained unmoved, curling his lips. "Your name is Guwu Tsutomu, and you are Xianggui's apprentice."

The young man's expression shifted. He stood up and spoke lightly, "I am no longer his apprentice."

"Can you help me lure out Xianggui?" Wu Er asked.

Guwu Tsutomu hesitated. Wu Er then tempted him further, "I can help you realize your wish to become a ghost."

Then, he thrust a watch into Guwu Tsutomu's body.

In an instant, Guwu Tsutomu transformed into an Alien Knight!

"Ah!"

The people in the internet café screamed in terror, fleeing in all directions. The scene descended into chaos.

Meanwhile, the audience watching the event unfold were equally shocked.

"Damn, Wu Er is up to no good again!"

"Yeah, and now it's Sougo's turn to act!"

"Every little story is so gripping from the start! Can't wait to see what happens next!"

The Nine-to-Five Hall

Elsewhere, Gates was busy doing push-ups, counting under his breath. "396..."

Black Woz was preoccupied with his calendar, circling a specific date. He was so absorbed in his task that he accidentally bumped into Gates.

"Bang!"

Woz stumbled, almost losing his balance. Gates, reacting instinctively, tensed up and looked up sharply. "Is it the Alien Knight?!"

The audience burst into laughter.

"Haha, Gates is too funny!"

"Where would an Alien Knight come from at home?"

"He's so obsessed with fighting them, he's paranoid!"

Gates quickly realized it was just Woz and scowled. "Watch where you're going!"

Woz, however, remained fixated on the calendar. His eyes sparkled with anticipation as he whispered, "The day of destiny has finally arrived. I must stake my existence on this day."

Gates frowned. "What are you talking about?"

Tsukuyomi, standing nearby, immediately understood. "Oh, come on. You're exaggerating. April 28th is just Sougo's birthday."

Woz's eyes widened. "You know about it too?!"

"Of course," Tsukuyomi replied, but her cheeks turned slightly pink after blurting it out.

The audience's reactions exploded.

"Wow! Tsukuyomi actually remembered Sougo's birthday!"

"And she blushed! She's always so calm—this proves she likes him!"

Gates blinked, finally catching on. "Wait, it's his birthday today?!"

Woz clenched his fists, his voice filled with reverence. "This is no ordinary birthday. This is a grand occasion! I must deliver the most solemn and spectacular congratulations to His Majesty the Demon King!"

The audience from the three realms erupted into laughter.

"Why is this guy so obsessed with celebrating?"

"He's like a court jester with an occupational hazard!"

"What's he gonna do when Sougo actually becomes king? Jump off a building in excitement?!"

Meanwhile, in the extraordinary chat group:

Ganyu: "Woz is getting crazier by the day!"

Ningguang: "Yeah, he takes birthdays way too seriously. It's unbelievable!"

Chizhi: "But he's a very loyal retainer."

Kamisato Ayaka: "I envy Sougo for having such a dedicated Woz. I wish I had someone that thoughtful."

Sougo's Morning

Back in the real world, Woz was in distress. "But now, I have a headache about this."

Just then, Sougo appeared, descending the stairs. "Good morning."

Woz quickly hid the calendar behind his back. He couldn't let Sougo find out about the birthday surprise.

Sougo raised an eyebrow. "Something's up, isn't it?"

"Nope! Nothing at all!" Woz answered too quickly.

Sougo sighed. "I saw that."

At that moment, Tokiwa Junichiro walked over. "Good morning, Sougo! You woke up late today! Congratulations!"

"Congratulations for what?" Sougo asked, confused.

Before Tokiwa Junichiro could answer, Woz lunged at him, covering his mouth. "Shh! Not yet!"

Junichiro, caught off guard, struggled. "Mmph?!"

Woz hissed, "It has to be a surprise!"

Junichiro finally understood and nodded. "Got it. Got it."

Sougo narrowed his eyes. "What are you two whispering about?"

"Nothing! Just chatting!" Junichiro replied smoothly.

To change the topic, Woz grabbed an item from Junichiro's hands. "What's this?"

Junichiro smiled. "It's Sougo's elementary school graduation yearbook. He wrote down his dream of becoming a king back then."

Tsukuyomi looked at Sougo fondly. "You were different even as a child."

Sougo chuckled. "Not really. There were others who had crazier dreams than mine."

He pointed at a picture. "Look! He wanted to become a ghost. Gukumian!"

Gates looked shocked. "He wanted to be a ghost?!"

The audience was equally bewildered.

"What kind of dream is that?!"

"I've heard of ghost hunters, but never someone aspiring to be a ghost!"

"Sougo actually encouraged him! That's hilarious!"

Sougo reminisced. "Yeah, we encouraged each other, hoping our dreams would come true."

The audience exploded again.

"Hahaha! Sougo, are you hoping for him to die sooner?!"

"That's the most unintentionally sinister wish ever!"

Tokiwa Junichiro chuckled. "Young people these days have unique ideas."

The Mysterious Attack

Tsukuyomi suddenly pointed at another page. "Look here. His master is Hibiki!"

Suddenly, eerie background music played.

The audience tensed up.

"Oh no, is this going to be another suspenseful moment?"

"Last time, the Yamabuki Karin story scared me!"

Gates was alarmed. "Could it be… Kamen Rider Hibiki?!"

Tsukuyomi's eyes sparkled. "This might be our clue to get the watch!"

The scene shifted to Sougo and Gates walking outside.

Gates asked, "Why did that guy want to become a ghost?"

"He believed it was his duty to protect people from evil," Sougo explained. "It's a role passed down through generations."

The audience was confused.

"Wait, this 'ghost' isn't a spirit?"

"Yeah, I thought he meant an actual ghost!"

Just then, an ominous sound effect played, startling everyone.

Gates immediately dropped into a defensive stance. "Enemy attack!"

A figure lunged at them!

Gates dodged swiftly. "It's an Alien Knight Hibiki!"

Sougo transformed. "Zi-O!"

A fierce battle ensued. Sougo and Gates fought hard but struggled against the Alien Knight's purple flames.

Suddenly, a mysterious man wielding a sonic weapon intervened. "Ghosts handle their own problems."

He transformed into an armored warrior and launched a counterattack!

Fire and sparks erupted as they clashed. With a powerful finishing move, the mysterious warrior nearly defeated the Alien Knight—until an unseen force intervened, helping the enemy escape.

Sougo and Gates were left stunned.

"Who was that?!"

A man in a yellow leather jacket approached. "That wasn't Hibiki. That was Hongki."

"Who are you?" Gates asked.

"I'm Kiriya Kyosuke. I can explain everything."
