A Note From Alpha

---

A note from Alpha, Kai's most trusted Artificial Intelligence and companion

[Before you dive into the story 'ICELAW', or to better prepare yourself for that idiot Kai's journey, I've compiled everything you need to know about the power system.]

[You can imagine it... or just skip it and let things unfold naturallyin the story.]

[But hey, you never know. You might be the one getting transmigrated into this novel next.]

'Hey, Alpha, where are you?'

[Damn it. That idiot is calling me again.]

[Okay, see you guys later. Don't forget to leave a review and add this to your library if you enjoy it.]

---

POWER SYSTEM

Kaiser Vanguard

The Main Character, formerly known as Kim Seoyoung, a hopelessly underpaid office worker. His favorite novel had a terrible ending, and being the madman he is, he quit his job. The universe, perhaps out of pity or mischief, sent him into that very novel.

[How do you quit your job over a novel?]

'You don't know how I felt.'

---

ICUWSA

The novel Seoyoung read back in his world. Also the one he was transmigrated into.

---

CUBE

An unknown cubic entity that brought both the system UI and the poisonous gas that mutated Earth's lifeforms into monsters called Drifters. It also reshaped the planet's geography.

[Think of a disgusting cube box. What was his name again…?]

'Gojo.'

[Yeah, like the one they trapped Gojo in, but way bigger.]

---

TRAITS

These are elemental talents that awakened mages have from birth. After the middle of the Fourth Genesis Period, these traits became "quirky," developing unique characteristics.

Examples:

• A man with wind affinity who can only make people inflate like balloons.

• Someone with fire affinity who can only light candles.

• A woman with water affinity who can extract water from living beings.

---

STATUS

Displays your current elemental affinities: fire, water, earth, wind, light, and darkness.

Each element has a deviant form:

• Water → Ice

• Darkness → Shadows

• Wind → Soul/Sound

• Fire → Lightning

• And more...

---

RANKS

Traits are ranked by their potency and usefulness.

E [Weakest]

D

C

B

A

S

SS

X [Strongest]

[I still can't believe Kai has an X-rank trait… even if it only makes him good at using needles and thread.]

---

VESPERS

Weapons gained from killing monsters. Obtaining one is based more on luck than skill.

VESPER RANKS:

• Spirit [Weakest]

• Divine

• Ancient

• Mythic

• Titan

• Cosmic

• Empyrean

• ???? [Unknown]

---

MAGES

Individuals who've awakened their traits and fight monsters outside the Dome.

MAGE RANKS:

• Apprentice / Awakened [Black Core]

• Expert / Hunter [Red Core]

• Master / Master [Orange Core]

• Grandmaster / King [Yellow Core] Constellation-Level

• Divine / Saint [Golden Core] Inner God-Level

• Overlord / Emperor [Blue Core] Outer God-Level

• Mystic / Supreme [Grey Core] Ancient One-Level

• Transcendence / ???? [White Core]

[Still here? Congrats. You're already better prepared than Kai ever was.]

'Alpha, can you stop that?'

[What? I'm not lying.]

'You're brain-dead.'

[Joke's on you. I don't have a brain.]

---

DRIFTERS

Lifeforms mutated into grotesque monsters by the Cube, including humans.

DRIFTER TIERS:

• Tier 8 – One Core

• Tier 7 – Two Cores

• Tier 6 – Three Cores

• Tier 5 – Four Cores

• Tier 4 – Five Cores

• Tier 3 – Six Cores

• Tier 2 – Seven Cores

• Tier 1 – Eight Cores

• Tier 0 – Nine Cores

[Yes, even your great-great-grandpa could be the Drifter you're slaying like a badass.]

---

CORE CAPACITY

The total potential of your stats within a given rank.

Stats include:

• Strength (STR)

• Agility (AGI)

• Dexterity (DEX)

• Intelligence (INT)

• Charm (CHA)

• Endurance (END)

• Luck (LUK)

• Mana (MA)

• Hacks (HK)

Core Capacity = Total Stats (varies by Mage Rank and Trait Rank)

[Don't worry, it's not always displayed in the status window, so it won't give you a headache.]

---

AFFILIATION

Official groups that mages work with to complete missions.

[Think of it like a guild. Becomes available after passing the Mage Trial.]

---

CELESTIAL CODE

A title given by the universe to those who go against fate or surpass its expectations.

[Seems useless early on, but trust me. Later volumes will make it clear.]

---

TITLE

A one-time cheat ability that lets you bypass the "one trait only" rule and use something totally unrelated.

Example:

• The Frog Jumper lets you jump insanely far... once.

---

MISSIONS

Quests assigned by the Cube system outside the Dome. Completing missions increases your Mage Rank and grants re-entry into the Dome.

Warning: Missions can last years or even centuries. Some mages live up to 500 years.

---

DOMES

The last safe zones on Earth (Meltonia). From the inside, they look like a normal world. From the outside, they're massive steel-like cylinders shielding the remnants of humanity.

---

GENESIS PERIODS

Different timelines in Earth's history, split into Genesis cycles:

• 1st Genesis – Unknown

• 2nd Genesis – Unknown

• 3rd Genesis – Pre-Cataclysm (19th–21st century)

• 4th Genesis – Post-Cataclysm and Cube Arrival

[Even I don't fully get this one. And I'm, like, super smart. Trust me.]

'You can't even tell me my opponent's ability.'

[And whose fault is that?]

---

OUTER WORLDS

A realm beyond reality's concept, where even the Cube becomes ineffective. Ruled by Inner and Outer Gods.

---

NIVIDA

The second-highest realm, ruled by the Ancient Ones.

---

TL;DR

• Traits awaken at birth.

• Trait ranks are usually kept secret unless approved by guardians.

• Mages fight Drifters.

• Titles = one-time-use cheats.

• Level up via missions from the Cube (like going from Apprentice to Expert).

• The outside world is a wasteland. Domes = only safe zones.

---

[Remember, you're also a god in this world. Leave a comment to influence the narrator, change the plot, or troll Kai a little.]

[Peace.]
