Chapter 34 - Rescue

The world's armies were still waking up.

The nearest ground forces were at least thirty minutes out.

For the diplomats trapped inside, thirty minutes could be fatal.

Surya knew it.

Surya's team was rushing for the assault , but it was still 10 mins away from landing site.

"System," he ordered, "initiate continuous Aether strikes. Prioritize enemy heavy weapons, missile systems, and armored carriers."

"Aether targeting cycle initiated. Strikes every twenty seconds."

Invisible from the ground, beams of pure energy rained down from the sky.

Missile trucks, heavy artillery, and mobile radars vanished in explosions of molten metal and shredded debris.

Then Phase Two began.

"System," Surya said, "jam all communication within two kilometers. Full blackout."

"Jamming activated."

Instantly, the terrorists lost contact with the outside world.

Their radios sputtered.

Satellite links failed.

Emergency frequencies went dead.

Panic crept through their ranks.

Then the system issued a simple yet chilling update:

"Agent 47 has engaged the perimeter."

Agent 47, a lone wolf among shadows,

was already on the ground — the first line of attack.

A sniper with the coldest of accuracy,

he had quietly positioned himself far beyond the reach of any camera or detection system.

In total isolation from the rest of the world,

Agent 47's steady breathing was the only sound he could hear.

From his concealed perch,

he took out the first of the terrorists with a suppressed round.

The shot was silent, but it rang through the line of men guarding the perimeter.

One after another,

his deadly precision eliminated the threat,

silent whispers in the dark that went unnoticed,

until the bodies began to fall.

In mere moments,

Agent 47 had neutralized twenty armed terrorists stationed around the outer perimeter of the building,

rendering them nothing more than corpses on the cold earth.

The terrorists had no idea what was coming.

By the time they realized their comrades had been picked off,

it was far too late.

Agent 47 didn't leave a trace.

No one could tell where the shots had come from.

And no alarms had gone off.

He moved like a shadow,

a ghost who had completed his mission and disappeared into the mist before the next breath.

As the last terrorist fell,

the perimeter was completely secure.

Surya and his team stood at the edge of the building's perimeter, their eyes scanning for any signs of movement. The countdown had begun, and everything had to go according to plan. But there was one constant that Surya relied on above all else — Agent 47.

From a distance, Surya watched as the infamous assassin moved with ghostly precision, his every step leaving no trace. The sniper, hidden in plain sight, had been busy. Earlier reports indicated that Agent 47 had eliminated twenty of the most skilled assassins working for the enemy in the surrounding areas — a feat only the most trained could accomplish.

The silence was broken by a faint signal coming through Surya's earpiece.

"The perimeter is clear. Moving inside now," Agent 47's voice came through, cold and calculated, as always.

Surya signaled his team to stay in position. The plan had been simple: clear the outer defenses and then move in swiftly to secure the building. The elite sniper had more than proven his worth.

Surya moved quickly toward the entry point, entering the building with stealthy determination. He knew exactly where Agent 47 would meet him.

Inside the dimly lit lobby, Agent 47 was already there, waiting. His immaculate black suit blended into the shadows, his expression unreadable. Without a word, he gave a slight nod, acknowledging Surya's presence.

Surya stepped forward, his eyes scanning the surroundings. The building seemed empty, but it was a trap — he knew better than to believe appearances. He needed answers, and there was only one person he trusted to provide them.

"Agent 47," Surya said, his voice low but filled with command. "How many are inside?"

Agent 47 didn't hesitate. His eyes, cold as always, flickered with the calculation of a professional.

"There are twenty-six hostiles remaining inside," Agent 47 replied, his tone steady and unruffled. "They are spread across four floors. I've already neutralized the external perimeter and the primary entry points. But this building is designed to be a fortress."

Surya nodded, mentally calculating his next move. The squad had been trained for situations like this — and Surya's mind was always a step ahead, even when it came to the unknown.

"Is there a central command?" Surya asked, his tone sharp.

Agent 47 didn't miss a beat. "Yes. They're operating from the third floor, in a reinforced conference room. That's where the majority of the hostiles are gathering. They're preparing for an extraction attempt, which makes them predictable."

Surya considered this new information carefully. The mission was about to get much more complicated — but he had no intention of letting these men slip through his fingers. He turned to his team, signaling them to move into position.

"We'll take the third floor first. If we neutralize their command structure, the rest will fall apart."

As they moved deeper into the building, Agent 47 seamlessly blended into the shadows, a ghost among the enemies. His eyes were sharp, catching every minute detail as they navigated the halls. Surya's team followed closely, each member moving with deadly intent.

They reached the elevator shaft leading up to the third floor, where the final showdown awaited. The tension in the air was palpable. But Surya wasn't worried. With Agent 47's precise elimination of the exterior forces, he was confident that they could clear the building swiftly and with minimal casualties.

Surya turned to Agent 47 just before they ascended.

"Stay close. We can't afford any mistakes."

Agent 47 met his gaze, his lips curling ever so slightly into an almost imperceptible smile. "I don't make mistakes, commander."

The elevator door slid open on the third floor, and Surya signaled for his squad to fan out. They had no time to waste — the hostiles knew they were coming, and there was no hiding now. The mission was a matter of life and death.

Surya and his team surged forward, moving as one. Agent 47 was a shadow, slipping through doorways and corners, silently eliminating anyone who posed a threat. His shots were perfectly placed — never wasting a bullet, never missing a mark.

In moments, the corridor erupted in chaos. Surya's team engaged the remaining hostiles, moving with surgical precision. The firefight was quick, brutal, and efficient. The terrorists, who had once thought themselves untouchable, were now reeling, caught in the deadly storm that Surya and his team had created.

As the last of the hostiles fell, Surya approached the central command room, where the final pieces of the puzzle waited. Agent 47 had already cleared the way, and Surya could feel the endgame approaching.

The door to the conference room opened. Inside, the remaining operatives were in disarray. Some were attempting to flee, others scrambling to secure a defensive position. But there was no escape.

Agent 47 stood by the doorway, watching with his cold gaze as Surya took charge. Surya's presence was commanding, a silent declaration of control.

As Surya and 10 member squad advanced deeper into the building, while rest were guarding perimeter, they encountered another group of terrorists guarding the stairwell. The group was unaware of their presence, too absorbed in their mission of keeping the hostages contained.

Surya motioned to Havoc and Orion, who were positioned to flank the guards. In the blink of an eye, Orion moved in, his silenced pistol taking out one guard, while Havoc disabled the second with a swift strike to the throat, silencing him before he could even make a sound.

With the guards down, Surya moved quickly towards the nearest hostage room. The door was reinforced, but nothing could stop Surya. "System, override the door locks," he commanded. Instantly, the system hacked into the security network, unlocking the door with a soft click.

Inside, the hostages were tied to chairs, their eyes wide with terror. They looked up as Surya and his team entered the room, each member of the squad scanning for any remaining threats.

"Stay calm. We're here to get you out," Surya reassured them, his voice steady. He turned to Viper, who immediately went to work on cutting the restraints of the first hostage.

Agent 47, having cleared the upper floors, appeared in the doorway, ensuring there were no attackers left in the vicinity. Surya signaled to him to check for more hostiles. Agent 47 nodded and disappeared once more, taking silent steps toward the next section of the building.

Surya, meanwhile, was busy cutting the ropes that bound a foreign diplomat to his chair. As soon as the man stood, he gave a shaky nod of gratitude, his face filled with awe.

"Thank you... Thank you for saving us," the diplomat whispered.

Surya's team moved systematically from room to room, ensuring that no terrorists remained. They encountered several groups of armed men who were holed up in the building, trying to regroup after Surya's initial strike. But with Agent 47's sniper support and Surya's precision, there was no place to hide.

Viper and Chameleon took point, each moving stealthily to neutralize anyone still alive. They crept into an adjacent hallway, where they caught sight of two terrorists trying to radio in backup. Before they could react, Viper's silenced pistol rang out, dropping both terrorists in a single shot.

As the last terrorists in the building were eliminated, Surya's team began to move the hostages to the exit. The hostages, now freed from their restraints, followed Surya's team, their fear still apparent, but now tempered with hope. They had been through hell, but they were still alive.

"Move quickly, keep your heads down. We don't have time to waste," Surya ordered, keeping his pace steady. He checked the surroundings for any remaining threats and kept a careful eye on every corner.

The team cleared the main corridors, with Agent 47 securing the rear. No one dared to challenge Surya and his team. The attackers knew they were outmatched.

As they neared the exit, Surya signaled for a quick halt. He motioned for Chameleon and Viper to check the final room, where they suspected more terrorists might have barricaded themselves.

The two moved in swiftly, clearing the room with swift, calculated shots that eliminated the remaining few who dared to resist. The room was secure.

"Exit's clear, commander," Viper reported.

With a final nod, Surya signaled the hostages to head toward the vehicles waiting outside. Agent 47, who had kept his usual low profile, was already at the door, checking for any lingering threats.

Surya gave the final order to his team. "Move out. Get the hostages to safety."

The hostages were swiftly escorted outside in hall , and he informed diplomats to wait as army will be arriving soon . Surya's team remained vigilant, ensuring no terrorists had slipped past them. Every corner was cleared, every exit secured.

As the hostages climbed into the vehicles, a wave of relief washed over Surya. They had done it. The terrorists had been eliminated, the hostages freed, and the operation was a success.

But there was no time for celebration as perpetrator behind this secene was in shadows. Surya turned to his team.

"Well done, everyone. But this war isn't over. Stay sharp."

As the last vehicle pulled away, Surya turned and disappeared into the shadows, his mind already shifting focus to the next mission. The world would never know the full extent of what had happened in that building. But for Surya, Agent 47, and their team, it was just another day's work.
