"Oh, you got that right, Silva thought, a dangerous smile creeping up her lips.
" but one thing is for sure Now I know exactly how to handle you."
"You're right," Silva said aloud, her tone softening, eyes glinting with a new edge. "I guess I crossed the line a bit there."She gave him a faint, apologetic smile. "I'll be more careful with my words."
" and But rest assured, she added silently, "I'd never betray my revenge partner."
Their eyes locked.
"Besides," she added, her hand gliding gently to his cheek, "it would be absurd to ally myself with Asher… when I already have you, A powerful figure not all in allies but in term of everthing you know."Her fingers lingered like a subtle taunt."So trust me—I'm only setting him up to fail." Her lips curled into a sharper grin. "Will you help me, my dear husband?"
Christian's expression remained cold—almost lifeless—but then he pulled her into a tight embrace, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
"What exactly are you looking to do with him?" he murmured, voice low and unreadable.
Silva's smile widened as she felt a shift in his presence—something unstable, something fractured. "Almost like he's got different versions of himself buried inside… and one just surfaced."
She leaned in closer, whispering against his skin, "What I want to do with him is…"
The rest was lost to the room—just a breath between them.
"Besides," Silva thought, gaze drifting toward the far distance outside the window, "I'm sure Asher is planning something sinister against me… So why not destroy him with something even more twisted?"
Then, her eyes returned to Christian, still holding her tightly.
"And as for you… cutting down my wings?"
She smiled to herself, her thoughts sharpening like blades.
"We'll see about that."
meanwhile Christian, lost in his own thoughts, his gaze far off into the distance. " as her pupils always this dilutated? or is it when she on something" silva pupils lingered vivildeled in his mind.
" now that I know she's deceptive... her alliances are dangerous, but why can't I just let her go?
The thoughts swirled in his mind like an unsolvable puzzle, every angle pointing toward a choice he wasn't ready to make. "If I let her go... she'll lose everything. But I still stand firmly..." His breath caught slightly. "Then again, who am I to claim purity? I'm downright worse than her."
His hand trailed slowly down toward Silva's, the soft, almost imperceptible motion betraying his hesitation. "Despite her cunning, and her growing deceptive nature… those hands have never taken a life, at least not like mine have." He gripped her hand softly, almost tenderly. " Is That why I can't let her go? or is it because in need her to produce a life?…"
A rush of emotion gripped him as he pulled her into a tight hug, feeling the warmth of her against his chest. The physical contact grounded him, yet the confusion remained. "Or is it something more?"
He buried his face into her hair, the scent of her distracting him from his thoughts. " or Is it just about watching her grow under my control, or something else entirely?"
"Get a hold of your emotions christian, all you need is a child from her, and that all"Christian's grip tightened slightly, his breath warm against her ear. Then a warning left his lips in a low, dangerous whisper.
"Silva, if you dare betray me, I won't hesitate to kill you at all." His voice was cold, steely, a promise that wasn't empty.
But Silva, ever composed, remained calm, her soft laughter barely a breath away from him. "Of course, trust me, Christian. You're the last one I would betray." She replied sweetly, her voice laced with sincerity, but there was a faint undertone of something else — something that kept him guessing.
With a smile, she pulled him closer into her embrace, her tone soothing, almost affectionate. "So please, trust me, Christian..."
Christian's jaw tightened, but he didn't pull away. A chill ran down his spine as he felt her words settle in his mind. Could he truly trust her? Or was this another mask she wore, hiding her true intentions from him?
"why do i feel like am the pawn right now?"
Yet, despite the dark thoughts swirling in his head, he couldn't bring himself to push her away. Not now, not yet. There was something in the way she held him, something in the way she spoke that kept him on edge, but also… tethered.
"Alright," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll trust you... for now."
"Thank you," she said with a warm, cunning smile. "After all, we're in this together — partners in need. So we need to trust each other, right?"
"Now, please let me go," she added with a smirk, casting a sideways glance at the stiff-faced guards and Claudia pretending not to stare. "It's getting embarrassing in the presence of your servants."
"Really?"Christian smiled as he scooped her up in a bridal style."How embarrassing is it, actually? After all, aren't you my wife?" he whispered intimately into her ear.
"You could say… for me, it's a hundred percent,"Silva mumbled with a smile.
"As for me? Zero percent."Christian teased as he began ascending the stairs.
"This act is so cringe... I can't believe I'm actually doing this in front of his servants," Silva thought, internally cringing at her own behavior.
"But now that I think about it…" she paused mid-thought, her eyes subtly scanning the new guards.
"These ones might be easier to trick into playing along with—"
