Jinshen staggered through the destroyed base—hearing the sound of crying and the rain falling.
It seems everything has been found out.. That Wanmei guy and his bodyguard are probably still there. He'll have trouble with Mo Yuxan..
Jinshen thought to himself before suddenly, he was tackled to the ground by an all too familiar face
Kai. The recruiter for the Demonic Sect he met in Baiyun.
Kai looked down at him— his eyes narrowed and filled with rage. His hand was already reeled back to punch Jinshen.
"Long time no see demon."
Jinshen's eyes widened momentarily before he elbowed Kai in the face— pushing him off of Jinshen—standing up from the ground.
"Yeah, its been a good few months that we haven't seen each other, I wish it lasted longer."
Kai grunted, cracking his neck. His eyes gleaming red but he was immediately punched in the chin by Jinshen who wasted no time in fighting him despite being injured.
"You are really a demon Jinshen!"
Kai rubbed his chin, standing up straight before kicking Jinshen in the chest but Jinshen remained nonchalant—casually grabbing the kick and spinning Kai around before throwing him away.
"I'm not even using my Qi Kai. You're just too weak. Leave."
Kai smirked slightly, looking up at the sky as he noticed something—he nodded, slowly standing up and taking a few steps away.
"Alright alright... But you won't be leaving the mountains any time soon. He's here now."
Jinshen's eyes widened—realizing who was about to arrive but he was far too late to retreat for now.
He was immediately stabbed in the back by a single edged black sword—the sound of his flesh and bones tearing was heard.
"I'm disappointed in you Jinshen, I knew that you might come back for revenge, but you're far too bloodthirsty."
Bai Qiansheng stood behind him, completely dressed in his black and gold armor—One of his eyes glowed white while the other gleamed with a mix of black and gold.
Jinshen clenched his jaw—he let his guard drop once more.
"Shut up.."
He muttered under his breath, kicking away Qiansheng who stumbled away a few steps—pulling his sword out from Jinshen's body before giving a slow, impressed whistle.
"You've got a lot of endurance kid, both physical and mental, I don't know how you returned from the grave but I think that I'd rather have you killed. For real this time."
Jinshen took a deep breath—he narrowed his eyes, looking over his shoulder to see that Kai had disappeared.
"Never take your eyes off your opponent Zhe."
Qiansheng was already right next to Jinshen, his sword nearly touching Jinshen's neck and just before it could touch it—Jinshen ducked down to the ground, jumping up to headbutt Qiansheng on the chin.
"Shut up."
Qiansheng's head whipped upwards before he too—slammed it into Jinshen's nose.
"I usually don't fight like a brute, Zhe. But you're pushing my buttons a bit too much for comfort here."
Jinshen didn't back away—instead he even pushed Qiansheng's head further back.
Qiansheng narrowed his eyes trying to push away Jinshen—but the latter grabbed his hand, intertwining his fingers with his own and started to push him towards the ground.
"If we weren't going for each other's neck, it would be pretty romantic don't ya think?"
Qiansheng spoke through gritted teeth, pushing back on Jinshen—his gauntlets digging into Jinshen's skin, making him wince slightly in pain.
Jinshen suddenly broke the stalemate, spinning around Qiansheng and throwing him towards a ravine and taking a deep breath, his eyes glowing blue.
Old man~ Sorry but I was just enjoying the show. Anyways, I got new hydraulics, you're probably twice as strong now if I use the psycho mode.
Xian said in a chaotic tone, one that showed he had something up his metaphorical sleeves.
Old man~ I also installed turbo boosters in your kneecaps. Try not to vaporize yourself, okay?~
Jinshen shook his head in annoyance, his muscles grew in size, his heart beating in that same rhythm—his pupils dilated and contracted rapidly.
"Oh Qiansheng!~"
He yelled out into the ravine, sporting a massive grin on his face before he immediately jumped away—a bright wave of crimson red and golden flames coming out from the ravine.
"Oh damn!"
Jinshen grin widened even further, he saw Qiansheng climb out of the ravine unharmed—his armor now red with hints of gold spread across.
"What is wrong with you Jinshen, do you have a disease or something-"
He was cut off as Jinshen shot a bolt of lightning at him—which he slapped away into a tree, making it catch on fire.
"That won't work against me Jinshen."
Jinshen looked at the tree with a small smirk on his face before he once again started sending bolts of lightning towards Qiansheng—who again, slapped them away.
"You're just wasting your Qi."
Qiansheng said in a bored voice—slapping one last bolt of lightning away before he stood in front of Jinshen who was staring at him with a small grin on his face.
"I know I can't hit ya but, now the forests on fire, apart from that you didn't forget about the traps The Demonic Sect set up? I was told by Elder Sima Ruyu their quite flammable~"
Qiansheng's eyes widened momentarily before he immediately tried to stop the flames from spreading—putting his hand up into the air, starting to absorb the flames but before he could do anything further.
Jinshen kicked him away, stealing his sword and slashed him across the shoulders.
"Never take your eyes off your opponent right Qiansheng?~"
Qiansheng let out a small grunt, ignoring the pain—but it seemed that Jinshen had calculated exactly where to stab to paralyze his arms.
A sense of numbness and electric pain that made Qiansheng want to scream out in pain settled across his whole body but he kept quiet, glaring at Jinshen with pursed lips.
Axillary nerve gone old man, he can't move his arm away from his body now.
Xian spoke to Jinshen, if he had a face, it would most definitely be smirking like a mad man.
Jinshen stepped away from Qiansheng, throwing away the latter's sword with a massive grin on his face.
"Later~ Oh and by the way, the traps are vulnerable to flames made of Qi, not just any willy nilly flames. If only you had spent more time at this base~"
Qiansheng's eyes widened in realization and anger before he scoffed—willingly walking away from Jinshen, his arms limp and numb but despite that, his eyes gleamed with Qi.
"Don't let this get to your head. I was specifically told to stop you. Not kill. You didn't fight me at my full power."
Jinshen laughed, walking away as well, still facing Qiansheng, not able to peel his eyes off of his opponents face just yet.
"Oh I know but a win is a win."
Qiansheng clicked his tongue in annoyance taking a deep breath before pausing in his walk.
"You were a good member of the squad, Jinshen, I thought you might have been the next captain... But I suppose fate is a strange one."
He slowly faded away into crimson light, probably going away to get healed by Sima Ruyu. Leaving Jinshen in the burning forest, the smoke of the burning wood and leaves.
There was a small moment of silence as Jinshen contemplated his statement before sighing.
So old man.. Mind leaving?
Xian muttered, already bored of the silence—craving even more chaos
Jinshen's muscles deflated, his grin falling off his face—he slowly nodded taking a deep breath before stumbling away.
His body was completely broken, burnt and damaged—but his mind was still there.
I need to grow stronger.. I'd get slaughtered by basically anyone if they weren't holding back...
Jinshen thought to himself—the times he got away from death by a hairs length all coming back to him—and the blunder he made by sealing The Grand Marshall still fresh in his mind.
Well uh... You should ask Yunxia for some help.. Maybe some fancy armor or something as well.
