Chapter 19 - Chapter VIII: Golden Laws (Pt. 2)

"Remember those rules I mentioned?" Rabae asked. "The Crests of the districts keep relative peace by following and enforcing Pneuma City's Golden Laws."

He then proceeded to list them as:

Pneuma City's Golden Laws

By decree of the Ryfi Theos...

1. Unless authorized, pneumarians and Crest Heads are strictly prohibited from engaging in combat outside an arena developed by the Minotaur Crest. Failure to comply may result in catastrophic damage and endangerment to the district's inhabitants, which will result in banishment, imprisonment, or expungement.

2. All pneumarians are forbidden from using their true forms within the city limits unless they are within a place designed to contain spirit energy.

3. All disruptions within districts will be resolved by the Crest Head of said district. Only matters of extreme nature will be presented to the Ryfi Theos.

4. All civilians are required to respect members of a Crest. Failure to do so will result in repercussions.

5. All civilian establishments must use the Crest Pricing System when selling to members of a Crest. Under no circumstances will Crest members pay using the Civilian Pricing System.

6. All individuals are required to give any present Celestial the utmost respect. Failure to do so will result in imprisonment, banishment, life removal, or expungement.

7. All Celestials are respectfully requested to refrain from unleashing their power while within the city limits of any district.

8. Hunting, hurting, or harming any of Pneuma City's Sacred Guardians is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught attempting to do so will be sentenced to imprisonment, life removal, or expungement without prejudice.

9. By decree of Auryn, taking energy from the locals of Pneuma City or Forgeton is prohibited. Those who do so will be judged and then sentenced to life removal or expungement.

"Relating to your question, Michael, pneumarians often use klevonians within their Crest to police and capture disruptors due to our overwhelming power potentially devastating our cities if we fought," Rabae finished.

"Why sentence pneumarians to imprisonment instead of simply getting rid of them? If they ever break out, they'd be a problem, won't they? Can't you absorb their power until nothing's left?" Tymon asked.

"There is no breaking out of the Prison Moon, and killing them would be an extreme punishment for most cases....Besides, killing a pneumarian is a difficult task, seeing as we are made of energy instead of matter," Rabae reminded us. "And unlike klevonians, pneumarians cannot steal energy from other life forms, so imprisonment or perhaps exile is usually our most liable option in most events. Unless it is an extreme offense, in which case, we would sentence a pneumarian to expungement."

"What does that look like?" I asked when suddenly, horns could be heard being blown. The noise was loud and could be heard even from being so far from a city.

"Looks like you are about to get a rare chance to witness it," Rabae said as we sped up to wherever the Royal Palace was.
