Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: The Law of Unmaking

The Null Sanctum did not exist in any realm known to mortals or gods. It lay beneath reality, suspended in a blind spot of creation where logic eroded and memory turned against itself.

Darius stood at the precipice, flanked by Kaela and Nyx. Before them, a gate of obsidian fractals pulsed with impossible angles—geometry that resisted comprehension, protected by the oldest laws: Reality-Binders. These were beings that predated faith and order, their forms more idea than flesh.

Kaela stepped forward, her void-marked skin trembling as if the Sanctum resonated with her blood. "I remember this place… or rather, it remembers me."

Darius placed a hand on her shoulder. "Will you survive going further?"

Her smile was broken, tender. "That's the wrong question, Darius. Will you survive what you find in there?"

Behind them, Nyx drew her curved blades, eyes scanning the shadows. "We're being watched."

The air shimmered—then split.
